Wow impressed with the customer service here! Kyle and another employee in training (forgot his name) were amazing! Worked quickly and efficiently in showing us the slabs we were interested in. Picked them up and held them against light, nothing was too much hassle for them. You can see they love their work, they know it well and are genuine with people. 10 stars! Beyond the fantastic selection of quality stone, the people are so knowledgeable and helpful. We worked with Kyle who never made us feel rushed, and was so instrumental in our stone selection and layout. We've had numerous questions along the way, and he was always so great and prompt in responding. I feel this company genuinely cares about your project. I went in with a fairly clear idea of what I wanted, but they have on site designers if you need assistance. We selected Taj Majal Quartzite, and found the pricing to be very fair and competitively priced. They were also able to refer us to a stone fabricator who has been absolutely fantastic to work with. Wow! We had a great experience at Natural Stone Design Gallery! So much so we decided to do our bathroom. First, the selection is to die for! We went there after visiting 4 other stone / tile showrooms. We were starting to lose hope on finding just the right backsplash tile for our mid-century modern home. We walked in and fell in love! We quickly found the perfect tile in a vast selection. It was a Sonoma Tile - handmade in Sonoma. The sales person did an ok job with us - but we really got excited when we talked to Kathy. She was super knowledgeable and really sealed the deal on this tile choice and provided excellent service along the way! Downside was that the fires in Sonoma halted production for a week or so so they got backed up and took a few extra weeks to make our tile. But that misfortune turned into the most extraordinary fortune for us! Because we waited we found the best tile installer EVER! He was on the reference sheet provided by Natural stone. We had several of the preferred tile installers come and bid our job. Michael Dytrych had a solid bid (not the cheapest and not the highest) but his detailed bid won us over. Michael is an artist not a tile installer. He placed and cut every tile with amazing precision and incredible attention to detail. These photos don't really do the job justice but I hope you can see the detail and craftsmanship. All in all a fantastic experience and we are going back. I highly recommend Natural Stone Design Gallery and Michael. They aren't the cheapest - but clearly the best and an incredible value! read more

I purchased a quartzite slab at a very good price. I had been looking for months for particular colors for my kitchen island, but only found what I needed here (see pic of island). Kyle in the slab yard was very helpful. They also have a showroom for tiles of every kind that is a pleasant maze. I love the atmosphere. If they put in a little coffee I'd hang out there. read more

Recently tiled my kitchen backsplash with white subway tile and a nice natural stone inset above the stove. I'm tooting my own horn when I say it turned out really good but I'll also say that I couldn't have done it without Kyle's help. I did a fair share of research prior to tiling the backsplash but there's always questions that need answers before feeling confident enough to do it. That's how I came across Natural Stone Design and just happened that Kyle was the person I came to rely on for those answers. I've been undergoing a full remodel for about a year now and found this place because it carried some specialized glass tile that I was in search of. The designer who I worked with, Catherine, was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Home projects can be overwhelming. Catherine was able to focus my selections based on my preferences. In addition to having a wonderful design staff, they are supported by staff in the warehouse that is equally customer focused. I got stuck in traffic, was running late and would miss the store closing hour by 5 minutes. I called a few minutes before closing. With the friendly and expert guidance of Claudia, I decided on a design for my kitchen backsplash. I ordered hand painted motif tiles for above my stove and for a "ribbon" of tile that goes around my galley style kitchen. I also ordered subway tiles for the "field." Kersten helped me. Compared to Bedrosian, she gave me perfect tiles that complemented the color tiles I initially ran out of. Shes an actual designer and she provided an excellent recommendation. She also calculated the amount of tiles need after giving her the square footage of the space. Absolutely shocking customer service. Have spent 10's of thousands on granite, and stone for several remodels. They are refusing to take a return, when the stone never left their facility, and was bought without my permission by a contractor. Unbelievalbe. Three visits, three purchases. First around 2010 was backsplash tile we ended up not using. Still hanging on to it hoping to find a use. I late 2013 we bought floor tile we just put down. I can't remember the sales woman but it looks great and our installer liked it. And, they gave us a good price. So... ...back today. Minor ding because they could not search and find our receipts from 13 months ago. Heidi recognized the tile, almost nailed the product code, took a photo of the tile we brought in and emailed to their vendor. Discontinued but 170 s.f. left. Now just 90 s.f. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful! They have such a large selection that it could be quite overwhelming if you don't have an idea of what you want. I spent quite some time looking through all of the tile samples and pulling many choices. They were super helpful in providing me with prices and samples at no charge! I decided on a specific tile choice for my backsplash and they were able to hold it through the weekend to ensure the manufacturer had enough stock to fill my order. Doesn't get much more accommodating than that! They even have an area upstairs with low quantity/sale tile that helps if you're shopping on a budget. I went in on a Saturday and they were quite busy, so make an appointment if you're in a hurry or want to ensure someone is available to help! read more

Three trips to the gallery so far (anticipate one more to pick up our order) and very satisfied with outcome of each visit. On our first visit, we just wanted to browse and try to narrow down our options. We were offered help and then allowed to look around to our hearts' content. The second time around, we asked for help coordinating a tile with trim. Kersten was fantastic. She really listened to what we wanted and made suggestions, pulling down tiles and making it easy for us to visualize and compare. We made a decision, and on Kersten's suggestion took home samples to see how our selection looked in our space. To our surprise, we found it didn't quite work. Hence, the third visit. Again, Kersten was understanding. Pulled more tile samples for us. This time we took home several samples, and one of them turned out to be perfect. Kersten really took a lot of time and care with us, even though ours was a very small project. By serendipity we were able to take advantage of NSD's once-a-year sale. They see you by appt. only for 55 minute appointment. We scheduled an appointment time to finalize backsplash tiles, flooring and to see their slabs. When we got there, we were told the designed would be with us in just a few minutes. 40 minutes later we were still sitting there and nobody even came over to say anything. I went and found someone and was told it would be another 10-20 minutes or so. They person could not even bring themselves to give a simple mention of a "sorry for making you wait" or anything. We were told if we could keep waiting that they would have plenty of time once they finished. Maybe they should have called us to tell us to come later? Maybe someone could have walked over to even say sorry or acknoledge that we were waiting during the 40 minutes they left us there? Why did I have to circle the place looking for someone to find out what was going on? I value my time and other people's time. I showed up on time. I even patiently waited for a quite some time, but telling me your 55 minutes late for a 55 minute meeting is a bit much. The round trip & the waiting wasted a good chunk of a day I took off from work. I could not in good faith say I wanted to give them any of my business after this, There are other tile places, and I found one after I left there and decided to give them my business for my full kitchen remodel. read more

The selection of tile is great, but the service is the complete opposite! I have been to the showroom 3 times and only once was it good. The first time I felt like no one would help me and I felt like the sales people looked at me as if I was too young to afford their expensive tile. I found tile I liked and took a sample home. I called about a week later to ask questions about the tile I wanted to buy. I informed the lady I will be paying cash for my tile so she told me I would need to come in and put at least 1/2 down for me to order. I went in and gave them $500 cash and was told my tile would be in on Friday (it was Tuesday when I ordered). On Friday morning I received a voicemail stating my tile was on backorder for 10 weeks. Why did anyone let me leave without checking stock?! The best part was when I called them back, the lady on the phone seemed concerned that they would need to refund me my cash and told me she would call me back about it. They called me the next day! Terrible service and business practice. I am so disappointed after seeing their great selection read more

The showroom is great and they have lots of tile that you can't find elswhere in town. The customer service is really terrible. My salesperson was untrained, unprofessional, and a little insulting. Her errors cost me a significant amount of time and hassle. She was new so I figured I would work with her supervisor. She was also unpleasant and unprofessional My contractor who also tried to deal with them on my behalf had a negative experience. It is such a shame that the service is so bad because the products are amazing. read more
