We want be back, went there on my birthday, and was insulted. I came with a party of three, and it wasnt that good the place is small, with limited staff for service. I came here on a Wednesday for a birthday get together. I would say it was about 20 of us. And they provided us with one waitress, which ended up being impressive because she held it down. Service from her was wonderful. But everything else was out of her control but she did try to fix it. It wasn't that packed the reservation was for 7:30 pm. But onto the food. I started with a strawberry lemon drop it taste good but it was warm, so I wasn't really feeling it until I got some ice. As a appetizer I ordered the hush puppies this was the best thing they had at this location for the night. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce that comes with it takes it to another level. I ended up ordering two more batches to go. I also ordered the steamed oysters which came out ice cold. I ordered the snow crab boil with the buttery garlic and Cajun flavor and for my spice level I got medium. Now normally you can see the chunks of garlic pieces in your bag, mine had none. So I checked with the waitress before even opening it to make sure I got the right one. She said yes but she'll bring me some more of the boil flavoring just in case. My cousin ordered the same thing and she didn't have the garlic either, funny thing is my cold oysters did. But she brought some more sauce and there was still no garlic present so I'm guessing because it was close to closing they ran out. My server, Jayden, was great. I appreciated her giving me a good drink recommendation after having a first disappointing drink. The mai tai tasted like straight juice and I was not happy with it. She suggested the Bahama mama as it's the second strongest drink on the menu. It did not disappoint and she was absolutely right! Sweet and I can taste the alcohol. The crab meat fries were fabulous as always. I love to order them with medium boom boil sauce on the side. It's so good! Upon entering the establishment I was immediately seated. It was empty at 3pm. These ppl have got to be the slowest ppl in the world. I ordered the boom fire and received some other flavor that I never ordered the last time I'll ever come here. I literally called over 8 times and they just stare and look at the phone so I had to physically go inside. SMH I ordered the lobster special and two margate specials which is called something else now. Waited there forever and nothing. I don't know if they were drunk or slow or if they changed their policy to no phone orders but the smart thing would be to let us know at least I have no problem going into any establishment and picking up food at least pick up the phone. Honestly I want to give them a 0 stars because it's the same thing everytime and pure laziness. The two girls at the front were mehhh meaning ok service but Coral Springs location is 1,000% better but it's 25 minutes away but I'll just make the trip next time. This is exactly what happens when theirs not a supervisor or a manager to micromanage them to simply provide service or maybe provide napkins in the bag bib. I have to start with, this wasn't our first choice for seafood, but it was close and open. When we were seated, our serve came over for drinks and we all ordered something off of their yummy drink menu. She was young and admitted to not knowing much about alcohol, but every server should know the drink menu at least. She also said that they had no bartender on that night but someone would try making them. Not a, "do you maybe want something else?" We waited longer for our drinks than our actual FOOD! They were okay drinks, but definitely not worth the $11.50 price tag. The food was good, but I don't know about the price for the type of place it is. The pricing doesn't match the ambiance of the place. Not to mention, our server never came back after dropping the food off to see how everything was. We were all still eating and she came back just to drop the check off saying, "whenever you're ready." And then disappeared again. This was the second time I went to Crafty Crab. I'm giving them a 4 star rating. But I want to give our server Brian a 5 Star rating. I went there with my best friend . It was a Friday night around 8. The place wasn't that crowded & that was good because we didnt have to wait to get seated. Brian came over right away and took our drink orders & appetizer orders. We had scallops, fried calamari & crab cakes. The crab cakes were not great. they were ready made frozen not fresh. The apps were good. We both had the seafood boil. it was great and we had a bottle of wine. I always check the glasses. We arrive at 9:15pm and was seated immediately. Which was definitely a plus for me. First thing first we had to order some drinks. I ordered a strawberry lemon drop. This wasn't your traditional one. It's looks like a regular lemon drop but taste like a strawberry lemon drop. It's was pretty good. For my started I ordered a dozen steamed oysters in boom sauce. Then I ordered a half a pound of snow crab legs , green mussels, no potato's extra corn and a side of eggs in boom sauce. Everything was delicious. I give this experience a 10/10. Let me tell you, I have no problems with places making a mistake, what I use to determine the character of the managers are how they fix it...... I buy at Crafty Crabs religiously, my kids love seafood. I normally buy at the Lauderhill location but they opened a new location closer to me so I have ordered from them like 4 times. On January 7th, 2023 in the beginning of a new year when most people are nice for a couple week to keep up with their New Year's resolution ; I ordered 1lb of headless crab, 1lb of Dungeness crab and a lb of snow crab. As show below on my receipt. I went with my family to pick it up and we went back home. In anticipation to eat my kids washed their hands and start sharing the food. We then realized that the shrimp totaled to 10. We always make the same order so we know what 1lb of shrimp looks like. I weighed it to make sure and it was approximately half pound. I told my daughter to call them so that they are aware and to obviously give me a refund. My daughter is very soft spoken so I took over because of the seriousness. I was told that I have to pack up back the food and bring it back to the location so they can give me a refund..... like are you crazy? That makes no sense! I was back and forth in the phone with a young lady. I asked to speak to a manager and no manager would take the phone and talk to me like a civilize human being, they just kept telling the young lady what to say. All I wanted was to be treated with respect. That pissed me off because what kind of business are you running if you cant talk to a valued customer that spent $95 with you 20 mins ago? Hiding behind the customer service like a whimp. I'm flabbergasted by the immature behavior and their inability to respect me enough to try and fix my problem. So straight away I just want to start off by saying this location is visually appealing our waitress was great However I see on the menu crafty fries loaded with crab meat so I ask the waitress is the crab meat imitation crab or real crab meat she tells me it's for sure real crab meat food comes out and clearly you can see that it's imitation crab so I call over the manager whom tried to debate me like I don't know the difference ...to prove my point I had to take out a piece to show him the texture how imitation crab separates at that point he's says ok ok and took the plate away not everyone can eat imitation crab just be honest ....Some places will say and do anything for a buck ..... Well, my first time getting food here. I ordered take out. Catfish. You get only one side. I chose onion rings. 4 paltry thin pieces of catfish 4 - 5 inches wide. I've never seen catfish sliced so thin. The taste was - meh. The onion rings were super greasy and oily. I couldn't eat more than 2. $13 plus tax. I would have preferred to pay more for bigger - better quality fillets. The portion is so small it comes in a half sized clam style styrofoam box. Like the size you expect to see when you buy a hoagie. P.S. Take a look at all the photos people have put up for this place. There are no customers in any of them, only staff. It took a whole year for this place to open and then for the food to be so lackluster. What a shame. read more

i've eaten at Crafty Crab multiple times, and always had a great experience. this recent time, we arrived just after 9pm, and were treated so poorly. the boil arrived with barely any sauce. and the "half pound" of crab was literally 4 singular skinny crab legs. We waited about 15 minutes for anyone to see us, to ask for extra sauce. which the manager told us we would have to pay for.... and while we waited for the sauce the food became ice cold, and was in edible. Server Amanda was apologetic, but informed us the manager wasn't able to come to our table after asking for him. Poor experience, and left hungry. We just went to Crafty Crab in Margate, FL The server was nice but forgot to bring us the seafood tools. When I asked him he brought just one tool for me and my husband? no little forks to get the meat out of the claws. It's a good thing that the food was really good. When it came time to pay he would also bypass the pin on our credit card which was always declined when it should not be. We tried like 4 times and he would always press the bypass key telling us they don't use pins at that machine. We need to enter our pin so the card can be accepted. We had to pay in cash.
