I came to try their $5 Burger & Fries Saturday Special. Honestly one of the best burger deals you're going to find at this price point! Upon entering the seating area is on the left and the line to the ordering off the menu is to the right. Great nautical theme with matching decor and wall art to go with the seafood menu. The burgers and fries (wedges) came out fresh on a faux cast iron skillet. We ordered medium with everything on it. I overheard that the meat is fresh, never frozen and the bun felt like it was toasted on the grill (which I love). The veggies were fresh but I felt like the burger needed a little more seasoning and more joint sauce. I added ketchup to my burger which helped it out. Finally got to try The Fish Joint with the fam. Unlike last time we showed, there was seating, so we decided to give it a whirl. It's a cafeteria style eatery, except your food is delivered to the table. The decor is fun, and the place has a great family vibe. Nothing fancy here, just fresh food. The food is (obviously) predominantly surf, but there are turf options for those who don't want fish. The family ordered the spicy mahi sandwich, fish and chips, and the burger. Their fries (which are actually potato wedges) were good, but we didn't like the hush puppies. The fish was fresh, and even I didn't mind the mild cod (fish and chips). The burger was no frills: fresh beef topped with healthy romaine, tomato, red onion and "joint" sauce. Fountain drinks are self serve, and refills are free. We had a great dinner, but we definitely spent more than we planned. Glad we got to try this place, and I'm sure we'll be back in the future. read more

Got the Fried Cod Tacos, Buffalo Shrimp, Blackened Hot Mahi sandwich, and cold Lobster Roll...nothing was fresh caught; all frozen entrees & sides. Consistently good food and friendly service at The Fish Joint. First time coming to the Coral Springs location but long time customer at the Coconut Creek spot. There's many different seafood options (cod, grouper, shrimp) for each entree - sandwiches, tacos, po boys, etc. They also have daily specials like taco Tuesdays and lobster roll Thursdays. We had the fried cod fish tacos with a side of Cole Slaw and hush puppies. Everything was fresh, fish was battered perfectly, the slaw was creamy and tangy. The lobster roll my mom ordered was hot and the meat was tender, juicy and loaded. The bread was very buttered so it's definitely rich and on the oily side as it oozed out. We checked out The Fish Join after a few friends recommended it, so glad we listened! I ordered the hot lobster roll with a side of fries and everything hit the spot. The lobster roll was super fresh, packed with tender lobster, and served on a toasted buttery garlic roll. The fries were genuinely unique, never had the cut before. They're thinly shaved in a really fun, crunchy way that makes them unlike typical fries, and they were amazing with the house sauce. I'd go back for those alone. The Fish Joint in Coral Springs is basically where you go when you want to eat fish and be happy about it. My Mahi-Mahi Monday special sandwich was absolutely loaded with blackened flavor--fish cooked tender and juicy, sauce so good I briefly considered asking if they bottle it, and coleslaw that deserves its own standing ovation. Really, the food's on point. Here's the catch (pun intended): I originally wanted the Mahi Big Boy Po'boy. But I didn't want it fried, I wanted it blackened. When I asked at the counter, the guy looked at me like I had just asked him to split the atom. He shook his head and said, "It only comes fried." That was it. No negotiation. No "let me check." Just a culinary dead end. Just NO. So I pivoted to the Monday special, which--don't get me wrong--was fantastic and even saved me seven bucks. But it wasn't the sandwich I walked in craving. And now I'm stuck with this unscratchable itch for a blackened Po'boy that I may never get. I ordered a hot lobster roll (as opposed to cold) with fries. Yes there are big chunks of lobster, but if I'm honest, it was very dry. Maybe it's because it didn't come with mayo like a traditional lobster roll that's cold. There was also an after taste with the lobster that made me think it wasn't fresh; like a frozen after taste. After two visits completely disappointed in this restaurant I visited on Thursday and ordered the special lobster roll on lettuce and fish and chips. The lobster roll was exceptionally disappointing two pieces of romaine lettuce with less than 3 ounces of lobster spread out. The fish and chips were not much better small portions of fish but a decent amount of French fries which was the highlight of that dish. Today is Saturday the special of the day our $5 burgers. I ordered two burgers both the burgers and the fries we're cold and I don't believe the burgers had been cooked as fresh but maybe a couple of hours ago and kept warm in an oven environment. Everything was so great we came back the next day! Came in on a Wednesday just to try but then noticed the Thursday special was a lobster roll so we had to be back. The Fish Joint had another location in Coconut Creek lol (which I've reviewed prior) but this was just alright. However, tonight it seemed that most restaurants in the area were packed and being all out of options, the family and I went the Fish Joint location near the house. Going in, the Fish Joint was jumping, but we were able to order rather quickly. For dinner, we ordered 1x blackened Mahi sandwhich with coleslaw and 1x fried shrimp platter with coleslaw and fries. Moving on with my review, the food was surpsingly excellent! The Mahi sandwhich was super flaky, had fresh veg, and tasty house made tartar sauce! The fried shrimp came in a well seasoned batter & were super tender, coleslaw was nice n creamy, and fries were also well seasoned & crispy! Moreover, service tonight was fast and highly attentive. My in-laws suggested this place for really great seafood, really really fast! And boy were they right. We had 6 people with us for lunch on a Thursday and we got our food almost as fast as it took for us to get our drinks filled and find our seats! I had the coconut shrimp with their "chips" which were both fantastic! I tried their homemade "joint sauce" with my shrimp and it was really good. It's somewhere between a creamy sweet chili sauce and a sweeter Russian dressing. Some of our group had the lunch special which was a lobster roll that day and it looked delicious! It was packed with lobster meat and in my favorite toasted split top roll. I was hoping to steal a bite, but it was so good they gobbled them up. The Fish Joint is a fast casual seafood restaurant owned by local resident Brian Rifkin. He has worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and it was his passion as a fisherman that led him to open a seafood restaurant. I had previously eaten at the Fish Joint Coconut Creek location during the pandemic. Glad to see that not only did they make it through but they expanded to this second location that opened in December of 2022 in the Shoppes of Heron Lakes near the Sawgrass Expressway in Coral Springs. The Coral Springs location is twice the size of the Coconut Creek Fish Joint, It is located in the spot formerly occupied by Falafel Bistro. There is a large mural on the wall and surfboard decorations on the walls and ceilings. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. The mainly seafood menu is cooked to order ensuring you get always get a fresh meal. The menu is divided into starters, soup and salads, sandwiches, tacos, boils, po'boys, platters, pasta, and land lovers. They also offer a market price lobster roll. Dessert is key lime pie, chocolate cake, and bread pudding. After much deliberation I chose the fish n' chips served with fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and tartar sauce. I had to wait awhile for my food but I finally received two large perfectly fried pieces of fish. The chips were great and I loved the hush puppies. They even had malt vinegar available to grab. The coleslaw needed a little work but otherwise I really enjoyed the meal. First impression walking up to the restaurant on a Saturday night... why are there so many people here!? Clearly, it must be good! Every table was filled when we arrived and there was a line to place your order. Nothing crazy. Just a sign that the food is worth it! I was able to snag a table outside which I was perfectly fine with being that it was a Saturday night and no other businesses were open in the shopping plaza. However, I could see how during the day when it is busier, sitting at a sidewalk table could be a little crowded and unpleasant. The only downside was that the table was still dirty and it took quite a while to flag someone down to clean it, involving two tedious trips to my table. The wait for the food was a little longer than I would have expected for a quick-food service type restaurant. But it was pretty busy so I was understanding. We must have gone at peak dinner-time because the crowd died down as we ate. I will say, the wait was definitely worth it. The food was SO GOOD! I got the fish and chips and my husband got the fried shrimp and clams. I really loved that they both came with a side of hush puppies, they're my favorite and these did not disappoint! The only complaint other than the wait was that they were out of vegetables which my husband had asked for as a side. How do you run out of vegetables at 6:45 on a Saturday night? My wife and I ate here during our January 2026 visit to Coral Springs. We thought it was a good place for snow crab but it wasn't. She ordered a pound of snow crab. This was almost all legs without claws and there wasn't much meat in the legs. I had the crab boil. This had plenty of shrimp and clams, some sausage and again unsatisfactory snow crab legs. It also had corn and potatoes. This was all ok except too salty for my taste. We don't recommend here as a place for snow crab. Also, it seemed quite pricy for what we got. read more

A very plain environment, with little decor, but really good food. We were there for the lobster roll special, and even when on special, it was still pricy. I guess I'm used to the prices up north where I lived for over 60 years. Now I have no problem paying for good quality food, but maybe the plain walls, and walk up service threw me off. That said, the lobster, your choice of New England or Connecticut style (cold with mayo, or hot drizzled with melted butter) was sweet, cold (I chose New England style), and plentiful.
