The price at first wasn't bad but then I checked for it online and it was a whopping $150 less and brand new online versus $900 at this store in Asheville. I'm visiting here for a small vacation and would've loved to take this watch with me back home but I cannot justify spending $150 more for a used watch than buying the same thing online brand new! Other than that the shop itself is very nice and their repair and service kiosk is great.

A testament of their dedication (and maybe the band quality). After having the watch a couple weeks, I accidentally shattered the crystal. So sad. I looked at a few options, but a lot of them you needed to ship in the watch and they couldn't tell you if they could even fix it before seeing it. Also, a lot of those shipping places starting at $70 anyway. It was coach. I took it to the coach shop, but they also did not fix that. With that in mind, I went back to where she had it fixed. The people working in there were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They were upfront about the cost and let me know the waiting time. One of them makes their own jewelry and it's super beautiful. Luckily, the watch took less time than the maximum amount I would be waiting, but I was fine either way. They called and I went and picked it up today. The two humans were working and I can tell they truly want to help and enjoy their job. The Crystal was a bit particular but it looks just like new. The cost was $80 with tax which I found very fair as they replaced the battery as well. Wonderful establishment with great employees who are professional and approachable. Recommend it for sure.

My husband, our dog, and I were moving across the country and had never visited Asheville before…read more We chose to stay at the Grand Bohemian (the Manor) because of it's proximity to the Biltmore and we were definitely NOT disappointed! First, when we arrived at the hotel, the valet were so quick and efficient to unload all the bags we had with us, as well as ensure our car would be safe in their parking garage (since it was loaded for our move). They took our luggage across to the Manor and it was in our room before we were even there. Then, at check-in, they offered us a glass of champagne, gave us a quick orientation on the village, and we were off to check out our room. Not only was it a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, but they made our dog, Hagrid, feel so welcome (see the photos). Note: While this doesn't downgrade our score, there can be traffic noise at night and the pet fee is a bit pricier than other pet fees.

Or do I go with the Marriott option like I usually do? We opted with this Marriott, but then ended with a night at the Omni Grove so we could check out the spa we heard so much about. This is located right in Biltmore Village, which I heard had a lot more going on before Helene made her way to town a few years ago. :( It's right next to the Biltmore, but there's not really a lot in the area. In fact, when we first pulled up we noticed it was situated right between a McDonalds and a Hardees and wondered where we were staying. The lobby is very cool and modern....and all the staff were very welcoming. When we checked in we were told we were staying in the manor across the street. I don't remember booking that part of the hotel, but the man at the front desk mentioned he prefers those rooms. It's literally right across the street so super easy, but it's across the busiest street I saw in Asheville which requires waiting a very long time at the crosswalk. I didn't see very many people during our 4 nights in the Manor and wondered if we had it all to ourselves. The room itself was nice, clean and modern. There were little things i liked (ex: liquid hand soap) and things i didn't (ex: no trash can in the bathroom) but overall we were comfortable. And my husband mentioned many times he was very happy with the TV situation. While our stay here was fine I did regret not staying elsewhere. I would have loved an area to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and just more in the area. I did like the room a lot better than the night we spent at the Omni Grove, but think i may have preferred staying at the Kimpton downtown or at the Biltmore where we could take advantage of the hiking, biking and everything else they have going on there.

The team was very accommodating, had great communication and got us set up for the exact date and time we had hoped for. On the day of our tour, we met our awesome guide, Michael, at the first brewery and the day began. Michael was a wealth of knowledge, not just about the beer industry itself, but the craft beer movement in Asheville, the history of Asheville, and so much more. At every brewery he took us to he really had the inside track, knew everyone there, and was able to give us the perfect blend of history, education and beverages. Since we had already been to one of our planned stops earlier in the week, Michael was quick on his feet to identify another venue that had a fantastic selection and location. One of my favorite parts of the tour was getting to experience certain types of beer that I would otherwise shy away from. At the start of our journey, Michael asked our group what we liked, what we didn't like and from there, he really expanded all of our pallets and showed us just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Asheville breweries have to offer. Even if you've been to every brewery, even if you're in Asheville expert, everyone can benefit from this tour, it was informative, entertaining and refreshing.
