Small deck on the pond. Catch a release only.

We were able to stay here for a couple of weeks while my husband was working. It was a very busy campground so when our stay was up we had to go. Which is why I only gave 4 stars. You definitely need to plan ahead if you are going to stay awhile. The site we stayed in was shaded and on the corner lot. Laundry room was okay. I have seen/used better. They also had a pool that was decent as well. They had public bathrooms/shower house that was clean. I would stay here again. Staff was not overly friendly but they did their job. It's a gated community how you had a key card. We returned it and afterwards they said we didn't. The lady at the desk was on the phone and told me to drop it off.

It is beautiful and peaceful, close to shopping and restaurants!!! Peaceful fishing!! Lakefront sites are just beautiful, decks rocking chairs and a sand bar!

Where to start... we went online on 7/17 to reserve a site for one night. They use a 3rd party company for reserving. The next day I got an email stating the reservation didn't work because they didn't have anything available. So I called them and they were able to book it (why use this 3rd party if booking online isn't actually accurate?). Strike one. Never got an email confirmation. I called them the day before to confirm and she said the email might have gone into my junk mail. It didn't. She said she'd send another one. She didn't. So at 1pm the day of our reservation she calls to ask what time I'll be there because they close the gate at 9pm because "quiet time" is 10pm and a worker has to take us to our site. Weird. Ok, now I'm stressed because we had some breakdowns that caused delays and now we are really running behind and aren't gonna make it by 9pm. After some attitude (making it sound like we were super disrespectful by needing to get there late and would disrupt their guests) and us saying we just need to cancel then she says "ok, well, we can do late check in and leave a packet on the porch"... (OK, they why did you give me grief about it?!!!!). We also really appreciated the note on the bathroom doors that said the bathrooms were closed daily from 9am-12pm so "plan accordingly" (ok, I'll let my bladder know). If check out is at noon, CLEAN THEM AT NOON! . They also stack the RVs in like sardines. You're best just to skip this place. Not hospitable at all.

We stayed 2 nights. The park is nice and pretty well kept. For the most part it was very quiet. There is a guy on a Harley who apparently is a long term resident. He drives through with his radio blaring. Apparently they have had complaints and haven't addressed the issue. The pond had dead ducks floating in it. That was a little disturbing. The paddle boat seats are all broken. The sites are way to close together and close to the road. It is difficult to find a place to take your dogs potty. There was also a couple of dogs off leash that ran upon other dogs while being walked on a leash. With all that said it is a nice looking park. Just needs to be upkept a little better and rules enforced. We would probably not stay again!

Just ok. The sites are uneven and awkward, like the terrain in the area. We had site 79 which was not paved (most sites aren't) and no usable space for a fire unless we wanted to have it by the road. Good hosts and nice fishing pond. The playground is pretty run down. Pool wasn't open when we were there, early April, so I can't say much about that. It's pretty quiet which is nice. Probably because it's mostly full timers. Wouldn't stay here again though. Everyone is on top of each other, no barrier between sites. (See pics-camper a couple feet away out every window)

Nice campground. There in September 2023, with 35' motor home. Side easy access and decent size.

Only stayed here one night, but it was a great place to stay. Lake and trees and fog made for a stunning and beautiful scene.

The gardens are absolutely stunning, well maintained, and well marked. The buildings are beautiful and host wonderful events and classes. The gift shop is well stocked and perfect for buying something for your home, yourself, or for those you love. The trails are wonderful and can give you lots of options for the length and level of exercise you want for you and your pups. The Bent Creek one is our favorite (which runs along Bent Creek)! Of course, the Dambo Trolls were a lovely addition these past few months and have drawn so many people that they had to close the gate at least once because they were so packed! I'm glad I decided to make the drive to enjoy a solo date outdoors with my book.

Made it there on New Year's Day. Bright and early. Did get lost trying to follow GPS so map it as it reads on the website. Siri thinks she knows better and I ended up in the boonies without service. Backtracked and when I had cell service again, followed instructions and got there without a hitch. The staff, mainly in the Welcome Center was great. So friendly. Knowledgeable. Genuinely pleasant. Not only providing instructions on the exhibit but shared a few stories about the process. It was cold but the walk and sun, when it came out, helped me to not freeze. In fact, by the halfway point, I had removed my outer layer. I mentioned this because it wasn't all paved paths - eventually after you pass through the garden directly outside the Welcome Center - you wander onto the packed trail. Glad I got there early as by the time I left, the parking lot was filled up fast and cars were lining up at the entrance to the park. I didn't check out anything else at the Arboretum but judging from what I did see, it's a beautiful area and exhibit. If I happen to make a return visit, it'll definitely be when it's warmer weather.

I signed up my child for the Little Ninjas class, which is for toddlers. Evidently they think that…read moretoddlers don't need proper coaches because we got coaches who clearly don't know what they're doing. The main coach was MODERATELY better than the second coach and seemed to find his footing as he bumbled along, so I won't name him here. He was young and obviously inexperienced, but there was some improvement by the end. That being said, he would present the course as he wanted them to move through it, then stand in one place and help them only through that one portion. This is unreasonable. A coach should move around and help the kids on all the parts as much as possible. There were kids who were clearly uncomfortable and/or unable to do other portions of the obstacle course, but this was ignored. The second kid, "Coach" Jonathan, couldn't have been more than 17 years old. He didn't do A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. He went to a portion of the obstacle course, told the kids to go on it, stood there and "helped" them through that small portion while ignoring them otherwise. He did not try to correct their behavior in any way and even laughed when they were acting inappropriately. I don't feel that my child gained any skills here or received any amount of guidance, and I would not recommend the Little Ninjas class to anyone on that basis.

This place is cute. The lady who had the birthday party said this was the only Gym/Ninja place in…read morethe area. The whole place was reserved for the party. All the kids were jumping, tumbling, going through the courses rolling, climbing. A lot of them seemed to enjoy the pits of blocks. There are two. Even the adults had some fun, climbing the ropes, jumping in the pits. You do have to take your shoes off so bring socks. There is a waiting area for adults and/or kids to sit. There was an extremely small area where the food was with a table for adults and a table for kids to eat. I would say around 12 adults and maybe 6-8 kids could fit comfortably in the eating area. However the space to play is huge. 20 or more kids with their parents and guardians could easily run around the area without getting in each other's way. Parking is small. On the weekend it looks like you can park in front of Pottery Market and Microtech Knives even though those spaces have reserved signs. I don't know how much the parents paid for the party. But they had two hours of play I believe but it looks like they had the facility for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. No one is directing or anything, it's like a free for all... meaning the hosts control when the kid's play, eat food, cake, etc. Someone from the gym was walking around. He was friendly, especially when showing kids how to use equipment and making sure they are using it right. It's worth checking out for parties. I know my kids are going to be exhausted tonight. Definitely will consider this in my area for my daughters 5th birthday party.

This place used to be really nice. As of this year I think we've had what will be our last stay…read more Overcrowding: The campground has added way too many tent sites without adequate parking. The result is 0 parking spots and no space for anyone to comfortably enjoy themselves. The fire pits all blow smoke at each other and the tents fill up with other tent sites fire pit smoke. Noise issues: Want to go to sleep at a reasonable time? Too bad. Two nights in a row a bunch of drunkards were blasting music and having a great time from 9pm until 3am. Don't plan on getting much sleep if it's a busy weekend. Barking dogs, screaming kids, loud music, and noisy people well into the night. Safety concerns: the main small beach near the domes where everyone plays is littered with boulders and sharp rocks in the water. Maybe nothing can be done about that. However open inspecting the rotting wood steps leading to the water I found an actual sharp-to-a-point metal spike sticking straight up out of the wood. Luckily I was able to hammer down with a large rock, however that was an impaled foot or worse waiting to happen. There's lots of exposed rebar and it's generally unsafe. Considering how many kids and drunk adults loiter in that area, it's only a matter of time until someone needs stitches. No wonder they have you sign a liability waiver to be here. Lack of facility maintenance: The door locks on most of the bathrooms don't work. The hot water in the showers is barely functional if at all. The wood ramp to the shipping container showers becomes very slippery when wet and poses a safety hazard. There's a wasp sanctuary under the deck as well. Several adults and children were stung this weekend simply walking up the ramp to the bathrooms. With all the money this place is making is there no time to fix and maintain these things? Last but not least, THE CAMP DOGS: a gentleman came to our group and asked that we put all our dogs on leashes (despite them already being on leashes at the time...) and then allows the "camp dog" which is a large black and white husky to roam freely. This dog is an A**HOLE. It constantly bothers people's camp sites and tries to pick fights with other dogs. Our dogs were personally harassed by this dog when he came to our campsite and started eating our dogs food. Then tried to start a fight with our dogs. Then tried to BITE MY WIFE. I had to chase him off every couple hours both days. This dog should not be allowed off leash however the campground owners don't have enough self awareness to do so. All in all, it's been fun over the last few years, but this place has grown too big for the owners and staff to properly manage. Won't likely be coming here again, and we'll be sure to let everyone know what it's become.
