We prefer to use studs for initial piercings as they tend to heal easier and get caught and bumped less.

Everything is custom made so they only have the diamonds and a few sample holders that you can hold the diamond in with tweezers and hover in the sample ring band. We are in the initial phases of ring shopping so we haven't gotten too far in the process with Ascot. What I will say is I was also initially disappointed with the customer service. The man helping us didn't seem super friendly. He seems passionate about talking about his ring knowledge but not about MY experience if that makes sense. I was probably being a bit cranky that the ring shop wasn't what I expected. So maybe he was giving me the same energy in return. They had tons of diamond choices, but if you're looking for larger carat sizes you might not find it here. He only brought out the carat sizes in 2-3 carat range. I believe they can order what you want, but they didn't have anything in store to try on. When I asked to see a bigger carat for the emerald he said that's all they had (size 3 carat). There weren't a ton of band selections in office to try on either. They have lab and natural diamonds. I didn't see the process but my boyfriend said the prices were reasonable. Just remember they price everything out individually since you're customizing the ring. Also, the ambiance of the ring shop wasn't the best. It just looked like an office which made the experience not feel as special like "wow! I'm in a ring shop and we are really doing this." All of that is part of the experience when shopping. You need to book an appointment in advance. There's street parking, but you have to pay for the street or garage parking. There's no parking validation available. Overall, we might give them another chance once I have a better idea of what it is I want. If you're not sure what you want this might not be the place for you since everything is based on you customizing it. I really want to like this place but I wish they made the experience a bit nicer on their customers. They offer 3D print option of the ring which takes some time but that's the best they can do for us visual folks.

Ok I never wrote a review but this place deserves one. I had a phenomenal experience there. I had been looking to get my nips pierced for a while and was looking for a salon in DC but found that a lot of other places appeared kinda grimes and almost sweatshop like (as many as possible in as little time as possible), especially around campus in Georgetown. Since this was my first piercing ever I may also have been a little over-anxious but this place was amazing and super clean. I checked in, picked out my jewelry, they did an anatomy check and while I was filling out the consent forms, Amy, my piercer, got her tools and everything sterilized. Amy was super nice, took her time to explain everything and I didn't feel like any question was too stupid to ask. I also like that all their piercings are medical implant grade titanium instead of surgical steel. I'd say do not save on nipple piercings - this place is a little pricier than what I found in my research in DC but it was absolutely worth it in my opinion. I paid 215 for both nips including basic jewelry and the saline spray for aftercare. Nips look great, everyone was super nice and now they just have to heal up. Im super happy. read more

What a great experience! I took my 8 year old to get her earlobes pierced. It was super busy with walk-ins, but since we had an appointment we were prioritized. Communication by reception and piercers was awesome, even though they were having to talk with so many people. Excellent selection of earrings for my daughter to chose from. 14k gold. We signed papers before going in but checked off satisfaction after piercing was done. We set up time to meet in a month to follow up on healing process. The place looked and felt clean. Blake was super sweet and thoroughly explained each step to my daughter. Amy and Blake did her ears at the same time so it was quick. My daughter was super chuffed. No tears, only smiles and sparkly ears. Advice: *Although they take walk-ins, appointments were honored first. *Parking is limited and snug so bring a small car if able. If looking at the building, it is the one on the left side. If full there is street parking near by. *They are cash only so plan accordingly (they have an atm if you forget) *Masks required inside at this time. read more

I literally got like 6 piercings done here at different times. 4 were done with Blake and 2 were done with Rob. Healing process for all six was such a breeze I can't even explain. I have both my surface tragus's, cartilage, tragus, rook, and my newly added septum all done at CraigPokesU. Believe me when I say this is the best place to get your piercings at. Store is highly clean. Tishy (receptionist) Blake and Rob are all knowledgeable and sweethearts overall. This place is an hour away from my house and i'll forever come here for any other piercings due to the welcoming vibe. Update 1/15/19: Got 11 piercings done here. 9 by Blake and 2 by Rob. I called and spoke to Craig the day before I went in. He was extremely informative, kind and helpful on the phone. He put me at ease and really set the bar for my standards. He told me I would be seeing Blake for my nose piercing. He was attentive and very knowledgeable. We talked about my skin sensitivities and the best options for me. He walked me through every step of the actual piercing and gave me wonderful information on how to make the healing process the easiest and most effective for me. I watched him destroy the tools he used on me and sterelize the one tool that could be reused. All in all, this was the best service I have ever had. HORRIBLE, RUDE, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING customer service! Terrible experience! In all reviews there is no mention of a guy with a serious attitude who is in charge of piercing, only mentioning Blake and Amy. I would have never made an appointment if I knew this jerk was in charge! We did not see anyone else in the store beside this creepy man with an attitude . I paid a $30 deposit, booking online for my 10 year old daughter to get her ears pierced, and didn't get the service, and were not able to reschedule and lost the $30 deposit. They collect the money all in cash upfront before providing any service, so be aware, this place is a scam! read more

This place is great. Blake walked me through everything he was doing and explaining what each step was, it really calmed my nerves. This place uses a crazy high tech sterilization machine to sterilize everything- needle and earring. No more alcohol swab or anything low grade. The pierce was so clean, that I was able to sleep on that ear the first night with little pain! Thanks guys, I will for sure to come back and refer all of my friends! CraigPokesU is a great place to get a piercing done! The staff is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. They walked me through their sterilization process as well as helping me pick out jewelry that suited my ear and my budget. Rob did my forward helix piercing beautifully and Blake looked at it for my one-month check-in. A week ago she tells me she wakes up and the earring was swallowed up by her ear, she has to come back in and get a different gage. from the moment you call to the moment you step foot through the door of that shop, you'll feel…read morelike you're in good hands. I did so much research before booking an appointment with Jen because I specifically wanted to get my nipples pierced. I wanted to go to someone with experience and all the reviews online pointed to Jen! getting an appointment was not difficult, you can book online. paperwork must be completed prior to your appointment. when you first arrive, you need to text the number on the door before they let you in. once you are inside, they'll confirm your piercing of choice with you and then Jen pops out of nowhere and takes you into a room! she let me start off with any questions I had and boy, did I have a lot. I had gone down an internet rabbit hole and I knew I needed to speak to an actual professional before the piercing. Jen is a saint with the patience of an angel. she showed me a few photos and helped me figure out if I wanted a vertical or horizontal nipple piercing. she will make sure everything is consensual prior to doing it. I got to pick out my jewelry prior to the piercing and she sanitized the jewelry in the room. now, I knew I went with the right piercer when Jen took her sweet, sweet time marking my nipples. not only did she take her time, she made sure it was even and looked good. I was so impressed with her ability to eyeball a nipple and to get it centered. Jen will mark your nipples a few dozen times, but you want that because the last thing you want is a freaking lopsided piercing so trust the process! when we started the actual process of piercing, she went through how she was going to pierce it and had me take a deep breath to help with the nerves. a nipple piercing seriously hits a little differently than a piercing on your ear. the pain didn't last very long and Jen asked if I needed additional time before piercing my other nipple....which I declined because I really just wanted it done after the piercings, she had me lay there for a bit before sitting up. I know getting up too fast can make some people light headed especially after a piercing and she explained, it can happen especially when the blood flow is redirected after a procedure like so. she went over healing, what to do and what not to do after the piercing and cleaning with me. all in all, Brilliance Piercing is highly recommended. I truly can't thank Jen enough for dealing with my hundreds of questions, making sure my piercings would look good, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way and most of all for just being one of the best professional piercers I have ever encountered. if you're interested in piercing your body in anyway, I cannot recommend Jen enough. she only works two days a week now so for me to snag a 4:50 PM appointment on a Thursday with her was a blessing. also big shout out to Keightley and Elizabeth for their fantastic customer service. they answered all my questions and were super patient with me as well!

The downsizing appointment itself is only scheduled for 20 minutes, which made what happened next even more frustrating. Unfortunately, there was a lot of traffic on a Saturday and I arrived 12 minutes late. When I got there, a front desk lady met me at the door and refused to let me in. My appointment was canceled on the spot because I hadn't called or texted to say I was running late. I was driving and not checking my phone, which apparently didn't matter. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no sympathy whatsoever for any circumstances. I was told another client was waiting in their car. So after waiting a month for an appointment, arranging my schedule around a baby, and driving 40 minutes, I left without receiving any service at all. Their policies may be their policies, but customer service matters too. The experience felt cold, inflexible, and completely dismissive. Given how much time is built into their appointments and how heavily they emphasize jewelry sales, I was surprised there was absolutely no flexibility for a customer who was a little late due to traffic. There are plenty of piercing studios out there, and after this experience, I would absolutely not waste time here. The prices are already high, and the lack of consideration for customers and new moms made me feel like a lesser person.

He let me know it was plated. I had no problem with that honestly. The piercer super nice and quick. We had some quick conversation and she was cool. Explained everything. Got the jewelry in without rushing but it was fast. I did tip so I was all in $60 but I wasn't mad at it. I would recommend them and would go again. There is a lot of art on the walls for possible tattoo inspo and it is a vibe. When you walk to the back all the artists and piercers have their rooms decorated and I honestly loved that. When I walked in the front desk person (I wish I knew names sorry) was helping someone choose a tattoo and was helping him out but very quickly came to me. What we were somewhat shocked at was my girlfriend's design maybe about 3 inch grape hyacinth design that was fairly simple but at $200. It would be one thing if it was heavy in design but she was done in 15 minutes. We still went through with it but a little more than we were expecting. Mine was brought down to $125 as it only took maybe 10 mins to do mine. Both prices not including tip. Very nice and chatty workers and they had a handful of people come through while we were waiting for each other. I liked the design of the shop and all their flashes on the walls. As a California resident it's interesting to see the different standards on tattoo preparation and sanitation compared to back home. Happy with my design!

He walked me through the whole process and made sure the placement worked to balance the slightly lopsided holes I already had from childhood. Long story short, Inkladore made appointments only after receiving our deposits; then agreed to see three of us for a group tattoo session. After 45-minute wait (with other customers being serviced), we were told there was only 1 tattoo artist, for 2 (not 3) of us, and she was currently busy; so we asked for our $'s back. Poor guy at the desk called the manager, who on speaker phone (for everyone in the store to hear) say, "tell that Bxxxx to Shut the Fxxx Up" when my wife asked for our $150 back.... (it gets better....). The person shouting at everyone then stated, "you aren't getting your $'s back, get out of my store". Finally, I asked for the owner's contact info (as required by the BBB) and was refused that info, then told by the poor guy at the desk, "leave the store now or I'm calling the police". I let her take the reigns and she decided on the final position. I got her last black titanium for my piercing. she was so quick to pierce me and the emotional service French bulldog was there for comfort.
