Food was ok, service was good. Free coffee refills is nice. Parking was easy. I had a bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette and hash browns. Omelette had a fair amount of ingredients but it wasnt hot and was a tad overcooked. Hash bowns were tiny cubes of potatoes that were browned. Sort of flavorless. He had an omelette with a side of pancakes. Omelette was the same as mine but the pancakes were great. Maple syrup was in packs on the table from sysco. Nothing horrible but nothing great. Got here a little after 11 and they managed to get our table of 13 in within 15 minutes! They were super busy but all staff were very efficient and we were never without beverages. Didn't know the hashbrowns were made with onions, and the server was more than happy to bring a fruit bowl of very fresh fruit instead-no charge. This was an unexpected surprise! The food is amazing. Place looks a bit sketchy on the outside but don't let that fool you, it is worth going in. It is certainly not "fancy" - but if you are looking for a place with a decent budget, is kid-friendly, and has quick service, then this is a good place to try! We went on a Saturday morning around 9 am - and there were quite a few others there at that time. We got seated immediately and got our drinks. OK, we are from the states and find everything here in Canada very expensive. We have been here two weeks and this is our favorite restaurant to date. This is high Summer season and we waited 20 minutes to seat a family of seven. We have had to wait almost as long in the car line to get into a national Park. We ordered traditional breakfast and they all came out perfect, eggs done correctly Bacon done correctly, French toast perfect. Considering how busy they were they did a great job. Most reasonable prices we have experienced in Canada. For a frame of reference locals , in Utah we can get bacon ,eggs , toast for $4.00 US. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat while heading through Canmore. It definitely is a greasy spoon restaurant, but is really lacking in the amount and quality of food. I had the french toast which was very bland and not worth it for the price. Also, the service was quite slow and disappointing. However, there was a beautiful view of the mountains and it is just outside Canmore so you don't need to go right into town. But, I would rather take a bit longer and get a better breakfast in town. read more

Was advised to come here by the hotel. My eggs were overcooked but they fixed it promptly. My BFs omelet was a little on the small side for an $11 omelet. Lots of hash browns with your breakfast. I had the Farmers's Breakfast with 8 oz sirloin patty which was dry overcooked and tasteless. 3 eggs which were also very bland. MINUS the huge cold sore on the waitress's lip. MINUS asking for coffee twice before having to walk into the waitress station myself to ask for it. MINUS waiting well after finishing dinner for service, then walking into waitress station myself (again) to ask to make a dessert order. Got it to-go due to foreseen slow service. MINUS that table beside us got a discount (had a different server) because OUR server threw away their bill and had to be asked what they ate in order to be given their bill. Yet there was no compensation for our table. MINUS the fact that I didn't even eat most of my meal after finding the hair, and the waitress didn't offer to remake it, discount, free coffee or even wait for me to talk to her about it. I'm not looking for a freebie, I'm looking for decent service. I must say though, before I found the hair, this food here is EXCELLENT quality and taste, way better than smitty's or denny's.
