The flavor on this dish is almost entirely from the sauce, which makes me think this dish could benefit from having something else in it with the dumplings (maybe meatballs and dumplings instead of just dumplings?) Wagyu beef carpaccio- 10/10 The mushroom broth that these are sitting in so perfectly complements the flavor of the beef that the first bite is almost hard to believe. The beef is full of flavor and the broth really helps bring that out. Banana pie- 7/10 The overall flavor on the pie is really good, but it's surprisingly missing a stronger banana flavor. The crust on it is a bit too thick, which makes cutting it with the side of a fork for a bite almost impossible. The toasted marshmallow on top is delicious and overall it's a good dessert. Chocolate pot de creme- 10/10, The flavor almost reminds me of a fudge brownie, but with the texture of almost a pie. The crumbled chocolate on top was really good, but the star is that chocolate underneath. If you love chocolate or brownies especially, then you'll love this. The views on the patio (alfresco terrace) are as epic as it gets with views of the breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. It's been named the best patio in Canada for years and you will see why when you walk out of the beautiful Rundle Bar onto the patio. The menu is made up of classics and signature creations. I had the Ember which is an old fashioned variation made up of high quality spirits and an infused maple syrup it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. It seems like quite the après ski spot, but I don't think any of the people there actually went skiing that day. It was basically a huge frat party on the rooftop with canned beer for purchase and a DJ. If you're looking for a nice, classy spot to watch the sunset - this is not it. We were crammed in the corner next to their barricaded section of the rooftop and didn't stick around longer than it took us to finish the drinks we bought downstairs.
