This was our first visit to this cafe and it won't be our last...even if we live 72 miles away. We chose to eat at this cafe on a whim as we were in town getting a Christmas tree. What a great experience. 10 out of 10 on everything. My wife had the double smash burger and steak fries. My son had the chicken bacon cheddar quesadilla with home made potato salad. I had the strawberry stuffed French toast with a side of crispy bacon. Drinks were an oat milk cappuccino for my wife and two sweet iced teas for the men. Absolutely everything was PERFECT! Service was fast and the waitress was awesome. We will definitely return to this cafe and I recommend you try it. You won't be sorry. read more

This is a precious place to grab some breakfast. The staff are all super friendly, the prices are IMMACULATE for all that you get. We all got the french toast breakfast, which comes with eggs, bacon AND sausage. A couple of us did the country ham upgrade for only A DOLLAR more! Which was all the meats & a steak of country ham as well for TWELVE DOLLARS! That is beyond cheaper than anywhere else, even the fast food places! Clean restrooms, and even cute little games are at every table. We will definitely be back! read more

Very cute little place where we stopped in for lunch when visiting the area. Enjoyed that it was local, and enjoyed that they have a small shopping area adjacent with some interesting items. Food was amazing but the service was not the best. Food came out quite a few minutes later after we ordered and our wait staff was not the most attendant. Working in the restaurant industry, I could understand if it was busy, yet it was relatively quiet. Most everyone there was very kind and welcoming though! We hoped to stop at this unique cafe for lunch on our drive from Kingsport to the airport and they did not disappoint. We ordered the chicken salad with potato salad and they accommodated GF with a sandwich option. Also had a mocha with Oatmilk which was very good. Lunch was plenty so you're able to take half home if you do that! Would highly recommend!! read more

I have frequented this establishment since they have opened at least 10 or so times and have tried a number of items off the menu. Everything has been excellent! My husband loves their bacon and I'm partial to the Avocado Breakfast BLT. Service can be a tad slow sometimes but the food totally makes up for the wait. I love that they serve breakfast till their closing time at 2! Nice atmosphere too....you can't go wrong with this hometown cafe! read more

Staff was nice enough.. went in for lunch during my husband's break.. I believe what had happened was they ran out of hamburger.. now we were held hostage by the whole building??? Kind of strange one wouldn't come and explain the situation and ask if we preferred another choice (he's in a uniform you can see he's GOT to get back to work.. I'm not kidding 53 minutes later they brought out burgers. I honestly can't remember if it was good or not. Just extremely disappointed.. won't be going back to be held hostage over our food again.. maybe in a few months or a year. But not now. Ain't got time. LONG wait for OK food--at least 45 mins. I wont be going back. Wait staff blamed it on being "slammed". But it was not. Also, It was very slow the last time I was there So it seems to Be the usual. I was never offered a refill of ice tea. We considered leaving before our food got there. When the food came, The avocado toast was mostly tomato slices with avocado chunks on top. We were staying at the inn next door and saw the menu for this place and knew we would have to have breakfast before leaving town. So glad we did! The coffee is fresh roasted and brewed. Delicious and hot. My husband had the griller and raved over it with the baked potato home fries. He said the Texas toast really elevated the flavor. I had the pumpkin spice French toast with eggs and ham on the side. Too much food! but it was all delicious. The eggs were perfectly over easy and I'm so glad I substituted the ham which was yummy! I didn't finish, but it wasn't for lack of trying. While there, don't forget to shop the gift shop, stocked with amazing local crafts. Very talented people in the area. read more

I have eaten here several times and can definitely tell the difference between the cooks during the week and weekend. The weekly Monday - Friday cooks have consistently made great meals each time I've visited. I have had breakfast sandwiches, sausage and gravy biscuit, even their smash burger and avocado toast is grest. Unfortunately I can't say that about the weekend cooks. I have received runny eggs on a breakfast sandwich, the gravy and biscuits on the weekend is disgusting, someone needs to teach them how to make sausage gravy. it should not be lumpy and thick. When I complained about the gravy the only compensation that I received was a new biscuit. I visit a lot of establishments in my travels and will say that you can definitely tell a difference during the week to weekend cooks. I sure do hope this restaurant steps up on the weekend and the food improves. read more

Friendly staff, reasonable service time. we had a cheese burger and smothered grilled chicken sandwich both tasted great. I also had an espresso after my meal. Tasted great as well. They have some handmade shopping items as well. The menu isn't very large, mostly sandwiches and salads, but I think that is a good sign because items are likely to be more fresh when there's less of them to store. read more

I couldn't tell you about the food because I left after 45 minutes of waiting on two burgers. I was told it would be out soon several times which I guess was a lie. I would just like honesty in how long something is going to take, otherwise I would have ordered something else or gone to Hardee's. I have a limited amount of time out here in North Carolina and I wasted nearly an hour sitting in this freezing ass restaurant.
