    Fresh Baked Biker
    Kellie D.

Walked in here and grabbed a seat at the bar on a Friday night. First ordered a flight which comes with five beers. We got confused on which way we were supposed to go around the wheel but finally figured it out based on taste and color. However, I think one of our beers was wrong as it was supposed to be a hazy wheat and it was clear and did not taste like a wheat. Anyway, after the flight I ordered a pint of Fresh Baked Biker. It was a truly delicious blueberry sour. One thing I really like about Crank Arm is that all the menus have prices, sizes, and ABVs clearly listed. The place also has a nice vibe with all the bike decor and art. Bathrooms are clean. A gorgeous fire was burning outside in the fire pit on a very cold night. Free two hour street parking is available since it's the south part of downtown.

Great brewery. Bartenders were friendly and the beer was good. Great atmosphere in the establishment. Looking forward to coming back.

I hadn't been to Crank Arm in at least 10 years, and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a variety of different beer styles to choose from. The two sours I had weren't bad-one tasted like a blueberry pop tart. You can get flights (5), frozen drinks, and cocktails. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the bartenders were friendly.

Crank Arm is an exceptional Brew tasting experience.  They don't do flights but they will let you taste as many as you like and I did just that. There is outside seating and the inside is so cool.  It is like a modern art exhibit with a biking theme. The BEER: Bottom Bracket Belgian Amber 5.6% ABV ... this is a solid Belgian and very delicious Cycle Killer sour pineapple and habanero 4.4% ABV ... this is FIRE both with flavor and hot. Trail Bandit peanut butter chocolate milk stout 6.4% ABV...  This is a HIT.  If you like delicious stouts you will   love this. Holy Smokes smoked porter with habernaro, cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon 5.8% ABV... this one is tricky.  It is savory with the heat at the end. Trail Wizard hazy DIPA 8.7%... this one is absolutely wonderful.  FiRE!!! West Coaster Brake IPA 7.2% IPA... I recommend this Road Hazard hazy IPA 6.2% ABV ... juicy and delicious My beertender Becky was awesome.  When I am back in Raleigh I will definitely stop through.  Hopefully by then they will be doing flights.

This is a pretty cool brewery with it's vibe all about gears and wheels and other parts that make up a bicycle. It's a fun theme and cool to see bikes hanging from the ceiling. I ended up getting the "Tour Limond" and liked the hint of lemon. It's aged in apple brandy barrels and has a pretty distinct character that is bold yet not too overwhelming. Their beer menu has a whole bunch of bike-themed puns so I'm sure you'll find something that will grease your chain. Did I do that right?

I've been to Crank Arm a bunch of times, and have always had a great time. The staff is really nice, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. They have a Shrute Farms beet flavored beer, and I was interested based on the name but not sure about the flavor. They let me try it, and I ended up liking it and getting a glass. Other people I've been with have also asked to taste, and Crank Arm always is happy to do it. They also have non-beer drinks, Tri-Bucha kombucha, some wine and cocktails. There are a lot of board games, if you wanna play a game and hang out. The location is also really enjoyable for sitting and enjoying being outdoors. I would add that parking nearby can sometimes be hard to find on a weekend night, so keep that in mind!

I love sours and my husband loves IPAs, so this place got the spot for both of us! The 44mpg and the fresh baked biker were two of my favorites! The mango flavor was perfect with the amount of sour, without being overpowering, and the blueberry lactose was super smooth! If we had more time in town, I think we would come back! We love that this business is biker themed, the merch is stellar!

We stopped here while trying to kill some time before a flight out of Raleigh. I loved this neighborhood and area of town, lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. Easy to walk around and stop in a few different places. Great beer options! We did the two beer flights so we got to try 10 different beers; sours, lagers, etc. It was a great way to sample the whole menu and it was only $10 per flight. There isn't really much food options here. They sell some bags of chips and they do have free popcorn. They let you bring in outside food, which is nice. This place was super dog friendly, there was a couple puppers in there with their owners.

    I love the Edison bulbs!!

This was a nice brewery to visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon. No onsite kitchen, but there are plenty of places to grab a bite nearby. I saw people bringing takeout in. The beers were fantastic, and there's enough on the menu to make it difficult to try them all. They offer flights and have a popcorn machine.

I enjoy this brewery! They have lots of seating inside and outside. They have a special spot at the bar just for people to walk up and order...so you don't have to hover around people sitting at the bar. There is a great selection of beer, and I can always find something I like. My latest go to here is an American Sour with lemon zest and mango called Don't Bonk. It's so light and refreshing for summer, and not overly sour. This spot is a short walk to Red Hat Amphitheater, so it's a great place to grab a drink and hang out before a show! There is a parking lot directly across the street, some street parking, and a close parking garage.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

The service is always fun and i enjoy the open atmosphere. This Belgian-inspired brasserie continues to be one of my go-to destinations for great food, craft beer, and one of the best Painkillers in town. My must-order dish is always the crispy beer-battered pollock paired with their perfectly seasoned truffle fries. The fish is light, flaky, and fried to golden perfection, but the real star might be their housemade tartar sauce--it's absolutely addictive. A few other standouts from our table included: Savory risotto topped with seared shrimp and blistered tomatoes The NRBC Juicy Burger loaded with onion straws and beer cheese Every dish was packed with flavor, and it's easy to see why this spot remains a local favorite. Whether you're stopping in for a craft beer, cocktails, or a hearty meal, this is a place that's always worth the visit.

I've also been to the Durham location, check out the review if you want to know more. Panysaurus over all is a very cool place (either location) but they have drastically different vibes - which in my book is a good thing. The Raleigh location has a smaller footprint and doesn't have the same outdoor patio vibe. The dinning area is a bit small but turn around is quick and there is plenty of space to stand and socialize if you're just there for the beer. I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. The Raleigh location menu has lots to choose from, we had a margarita pizza with pepperoni, hummus and wings. I can't recall what was in the hummus but we practically licked the bowl and the wings were a big hit too - note the Durham menu is a bit scaled down but one thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus. There is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park - plenty of WARM pita for everyone. Service was great, we did't wait long and the tables were turned over quickly. We had a 70 degree surprise January day while we were there, so we did just that. We started our brunch with a couple of drinks: a bloody mary and an iced coffee. The bloody mary had a nice kick. Just the right amount of spice without going overboard. The iced coffee was smooth, not bitter at all, and honestly a great pairing if you're not in the mood for booze. To start, we shared the Dill Pickle Pimento Cheese with ripple-cut fries. I'm a sucker for pimento cheese and this one was outstanding. The dill relish gave it a tangy, fresh twist that worked so well with the creamy cheese. Scoop it up with those crispy ripple fries and you're golden. It's a shareable appetizer, but honestly, I'd come back just for that. For my lunch, I had the Chicken Caesar Pita. This isn't your average Caesar wrap. It was tasty, I wasn't expecting the chicken to be pulled, but it was pull juicy, marinated chicken, tons of Tuscan kale for a hearty bite, and generous shavings of parmesan. The charred Caesar dressing brought it all together with that smoky, savory flavor. The pita bread held everything nicely without getting soggy, and the portion was just right: filling, but not overwhelming. Service was super friendly and paced perfectly, not rushed, but never left waiting. Menu options looked creative and inclusive, with plenty for vegetarians and craft beer lovers, too. We had a great experience and I'll definitely be recommending it to friends who are going to Raleigh!
