Craving a good cinnamon roll & drove from South Austin to try theirs.I tried the banana pudding cinnamon roll & it was Sooooooo good, I could slap my granny. Will definitely be back!!

This was my first time at this location but customer service and quality is just as I remember when it was in the Domain. Greeted with a friendly smile and welcome with quick service. Nice intimate space with a few games and seating. I ordered the King Cake roll in honor of Mardi Gras. This roll is only there for a limited time. It was filled with cream cheese and topped with sugar sprinkles. Served nice and warm and literally melts in your mouth. I will say there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking but I navigated around it. The roll is a decent sized and the fact that I nearly ate it all in one day lets you know how good it was.

Super yummy. The employee working the front was very attentive and helpful! The inside has a few games and tables to eat at. No issues with cleanliness. We tried four different flavors and my favorite was the tres leches. All flavors were good though. I was worried that the cinnamon roll quality would be subpar due to being covered with the toppings, but I was wrong. The cinnamon itself was fresh and soft and probably delish on its own. I recommend to check out this place.

This was incredible. Took one home and honestly preferred it cooled down but my goodness one of the greatest things I've ever eaten. Staff was so nice!

I have been wanting to go to Cranky Granny's Sweet Rolls ever since I moved to Austin. I have a sweet tooth and I heard this spot was amazing. And it did not disappoint! First of all, the food is incredible. My wife and I ended up buying 5 different flavors (Banana Pudding, Churro, Strawberry Shortcake, Toasted Caramel Crunch, and Tres Leches). They also have vegan options available. Honestly, I don't know which is my favorite. They are all delicious and hearty. It's taken a week for us to eat them as it's so much food LOL. Second, the service was superb. The staff is friendly and helpful. We did not know what to order and they provided us with recommendations. The food came out relatively fast as well. Lastly, I loved the vibes and ambiance. They play great music inside. They have board games and card games you can play while you wait for your food or while you eat. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. It's a family friendly spot. Overall, I would say it is a must try!

In route from TaterQue,, I saw Cranky Grannies sweet rolls which I have been wanting to go to for some time. I had no idea that it was so close to TaterQue restaurant. It's about a mile away right next-door to Baylor, Scott & White medical building. Today, I am totally going off the rails in terms of eating...let's call it a cheat day. I asked the cashier what was the most popular cinnamon roll and he said the peach cobbler cinnamon roll. So I said let's go with the peach cobbler cinnamon roll. I only planned to eat a tiny little bite of it which did not go according to plan. I would say I probably ate 10% of the cinnamon roll and left the rest for my hubby, which he certainly appreciated it. OMG this was the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was out of the oven warm, super flavorful and the icing was just like none that I've had before with a cinnamon roll. This took cinnamon rolls to the next level. As I was driving home, I was thinking maybe I should've gotten two cinnamon rolls. Then I thought well I was able to experience some of the cinnamon roll without going totally going overboard so that was good thing. Once my cholesterol is within a reasonable level maybe I can look forward to having a delicious cinnamon roll all by myself. Surprisingly, there were not a lot of customers in the shop today, but I'm told by people who have been there on the weekends that it is crazy busy with long lines. Therefore, I'm definitely glad I got a chance to taste the cinnamon roll today. Also, it important to note that Crank Grannies is a "no tipping" establishment. I highly recommend Cranky Grannies!!!

I had heard from family in East Texas that I had to go try this place they heard of. I have to admit I was disappointed with the sweetrolls. Although you get what looks to be a good sized cinnamon bun with a considerable amount of toppings it's all misleading. I got the king cake roll, it looked beautiful but when I cut into it I found the entire middle to be hollowed out and filled with icing. I only got the outer ring of the cinnamon roll and what looked to be about a half cup of icing. For $7.00 I expected to at least get a whole cinnamon roll. We also got the Carmel crunch for almost $8.00, and it was so sweet that you could only eat a couple of bite before it hurt your teeth. So I would not recommend this establishment. It's over priced and underwhelming. The only redeeming quality was the young lady that waited on us was so very nice, helpful and had great customer service.

I should have taken a photo of the rolls but we ate them too quickly!

They came to San Antonio on a Saturday at The Weekend Market at Arbor Park. It was a LONG line but definitely worth it. They have specialty cinnamon rolls. I got the peach cobbler and the wet walnut. The bread was soft/fluffy and the icing was not overly sweet or overly thick. In the bag they even put in storing and reheating instructions! It would be great if they had a store here. Well maybe not cause I know I would gain lots of pounds!

OMG! I haven't been a fan of cinnamon rolls since I was a kid because I haven't had one that tasted as good as the ones I would make with my grandma. But these right here, 10/10! Even when you walk into the store, the smell that hits you is just comforting. They make the cinnamon rolls to order so I waited maybe 10-15min and completely worth it. "Ya'll better come up hgo get you one of these"

    Shai B.

The peach cobbler was fantastic! It's more like a peach cobbler than a sweet roll disguised as a peach cobbler. It is a lot of sugar so pace yourself or you will end up in the hospital haha!

Small little shop, probably family-owned and operated, which is nice. I got here about 2 minutes before they were open, and there were already people in the parking lot waiting for this place to open. Once noon hit, everyone got out of their cars and went straight here. I even heard people say they should have waited at the door with the number of people who showed up that morning. Ordering was quick and easy; there were some on display on the front counter and the menu on top. I waited about maybe 5-7 minutes before getting my order. It comes with instructions on how to store it and reheat it if you were not eating there, which is nice because there isn't a lot of room to eat in there. The cinnamon rolls were nice and fluffy the next day still, and they are not as sweet as other cinnamon rolls I had, which was nice; it was just enough. The employees were nice and welcoming throughout the entire morning rush, and everyone was patient waiting for their orders.

We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken and waffles, and the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. I appreciated the transparency, and when our food arrived I soon found out it was worth the wait. The standout for me was the grilled cheese waffle with tomato soup. The soup tasted homemade, with bright tomato flavor and generous chunks of tomato throughout. It was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese featured a flavorful muenster and provolone instead of the standard cheddar you find everywhere else, and the waffle itself was crispy on the outside with a perfect gooey cheese pull. My friend enjoyed the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread since I'm not a huge fan of Biscoff. I did try the strawberries and cream, though, and both were excellent. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression. The next time I'm in Round Rock, I'll be ordering another waffle flight, probably the same 3 selections, just without the Biscoff spread.

I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

I just ran out to grab somethings and hadn't had breakfast. So I just typed in coffee place and chose the most unique name near me. We were exited to take my niece to the 'unicorn place' and support a plant based shop. It was super cute and she was excited about the decor and unicorns. Came a little after 9am on a Friday, it was maybe half full, but it took about 40 minutes to get two lemon tofu toasts. I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88. Pretty ridiculous, and I am used to California, Bay Area prices.
