During our research for couches, we stopped at Crate and Barrel since we were in Garden City already. They had a few collections like Aris, Gather, Axis, Pacific, etc....most of them come in two seat lengths (average and tall). Norm was nice enough to explain about some of the features of the different collections and also said that they offered design services if needed. We felt the comfort and quality of the pieces was not as high as the Ethan Allen pieces we had tested earlier, so good piece of information for our research. read more

My purchases (10/10/25) have been put on "HOLD." No explanation provided, no effort to resolve or disclose problem; 3 weeks now and still waiting for top of the line espresso machine and the sectional has not gone into production. I've always promoted crate and barrel brand over the years having purchased many products and quality furniture in the past but the customer service/business end is extremely lacking this go round after $6K purchase. So no Crate and barrel, no "dopamine hit" experienced on this consumer's end. As a company that relies on its consumers, you should really do better. read more

BOSTON AREA. We ordered a king sized bed online March 1, 2025. 3 months later we realized that we hadn't been emailed a delivery update (it was expected end of May which is when we needed the bed). Turns out our bed is stuck in China and delivery date is unknown. We found this out by: 1. calling 800 number for online customer service. They didn't answer their phones so 2. we called a store and were told that the online ordering and customer service is NOT connected to store ordering and customer service. And neither entity can look up each other's orders. 3. we canceled our original online order and re-ordered (in the store) on June 1 a bed that was supposedly in stock and expected to be delivered July 7. 4. it is now June 14 and we were just informed that the 2nd bed is delayed and won't arrive until Sept. We've wasted 4 months with undelivered orders. So frustrating! We canceled our 2nd order and ordered from another retailer. read more

I have shopped this store several times in the past year for a variety of items. The salespeople are generally helpful and pleasant. However, there are one or two who I felt were rude, and made the return of a dishware item into a big deal. Seriously, who cares if I removed the sticker off the bottom or not??!! I brought back the bowl less than a week after I initially purchased it completely clean and undamaged - i just didn't like it enough - oh, the interrogation I was subjected to !! - I had the receipt and it should have been a simple matter! I try to avoid this store now - I rather shop at the C&B's in nearby MA & CT. read more

With wedding planning, there are so many little things and wedding registry was something that I haven't given much thought. We signed up for an in person event that went from 9-11 am on a Sunday before the store opens to the public. While there, Jean provided an overview of the registry including how many gifts to include, variety of gifts, etc. Richard then gave us a tour around the different areas of the store with a focus on the typical items that end up on a registry. That was helpful in narrowing our focus as well. He was also helpful in helping us in the Dutch ovens, giving us his experience with his Le Creuset. When we got to the cutlery and dining sets, we were encouraged to bring sets off to tables so we can better visualize our likes and dislikes. Overall, I found the experience helpful and will recommend that couples take advantage of the free events to help them on their registry. read more

I spent $180 on a 3' Christmas Tree. There was no box (floor model). I asked if there was a small discount as a floor model. A flat "no". Then then the unfriendly sales clerk told me the tree came with a timer. I took it home (in the cheesy plastic bag he gave me. Low and behold, no time function. When I was in the area again a week or so later I came in to ask about either how this time function worked and the manager looked at their product online and said, "I don't see anything here about it having a timer". That's it. No remedy. No discount after I made the complaint about there not being any consideration of one in light of my not getting the box and of being mislead that the tree has a timer function. Nothing. They could have cared less. Horrible, zero customer care here. I will never return to this overpriced, poor customer service store again. read more

Love the friendly service and personal attention that Daniel provided us with as we picked out a Beautiful sofa set. We were also told of a upcoming sale and how we can accumulate rewards towards our next purchase if we opened there card., which was pretty tricky since now we are looking to get ourselves a new dining set!! The $480 that was a bonus from our prior purchase was a no brainer for another big purchase. The quality can't be beat and the price is a bit pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. The delivery was very organized. A call first and date set up at our convenience. Again a call to confirm. The only problem if you want to call it that was I couldn't understand the person on the phone. But I eventually figured out who it was and what she was trying to say. The store itself is well designed and they have different people in the areas that seem to know there stuff. No complaints love doing business ! read more

Normally, I am a big fan of Crate and Barrel, however I just went to the store in Cranston, RI and the manager (I'm assuming she was the manager) was the rudest woman I have ever met. She was disheveled looking with overly dirty hair and spoke to customers and other workers with an extremely rude and condescending tone. Her name was Breanna and I hope she gets fired because she was the bitchiest woman I have ever had the poor misfortune of interacting with. read more
