    I had purchased a nesting kids table with some chairs and an acrylic cover a few months ago. Initially I opted for the pick up option because I did not want to pay $120 for shipping. Boy was that a mistake on my part. First of all the production is very slow. Everything is on back order for months and my products came in two separate shipments. If you don't pick up your product within a week of notification, it gets shipped back. So first time I got the table and chairs was a breeze. I used the online order function to give my ETA, my actual arrival time, and it was loaded it a timely manner when I waited in the pick up parking lot. A few months later I received a message saying my acrylic top had arrived. So a few days after that, I came by, the application wasn't working. It could not seem to distinguish between the part or the order I already picked up vs the last part of the order. I called the store and waited 20 minutes in a pick up spot. Finally went inside to inquire about my item. Nearly an hour after waiting, I was told it must have been misplaced because the staff couldn't not locate it. It was not where it should have been. They would call me tomorrow with an update. I received a call the next day. And it seems like the system thought I hadn't pick up any of my items, which is why the staff has issues with searching for all of it. I clarified with them I had everything except for the cover. They indeed were able to locate that cover. I drove back again the next day at opening thinking it would be relatively empty. There was barely any parking. After I squeezed into a corner spot I called in again since the website still wasn't working. Waited half an hour and no one came. I ended up going into the store again. Put my name on the on the pick up notifications station again. Another half hour passed by when a clerk finally came up to me with the cover. He sheepishly said he could only find the cover and not the other items. I told him, for the zillionth time, I have everything else. Overall, the wasted time of having to drive back and forth, along with the wait time between the store and parking lot, was pretty miserable. I'm sure between the holiday season, perhaps a staffing issue, and the pick up website, it just set up for the perfect storm. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I still think the items the store sells are great quality and unique, especially the natural ones.

    Shout out to C&B for my experience yesterday shopping for dishes. More specifically, to their standout associate Jillian. I was in the tableware section for about an hour, and Jillian was handling the very busy section almost completely by herself, the whole time with a smile on her face and a friendly, happy-to-help attitude. I don't recall the last time I saw a retail employee doing such a stellar job while providing friendly customer service. Just listening to her happily assisting everyone made my long-drawn-out dish decision much more pleasant. Great selection of dishes and a great experience. :)

    I have a thing for home decor (love to decorate) and cookware so Crate & Barrel is one of those stores that I drop in just to see what is new, what I have to have! Over the years I have been here many times and own a variety of items including a custom chair in a slate blue material that looks awesome in my living room; a large piece of art; various kitchen appliances, several serving pieces; vases; kitchen gadgets, and lots of Christmas ornaments and holiday decor. The holiday and Christmas decor is so unique and pretty, every year. For Christmas 2020 they collaborated with Papa Leo to sell a 6-piece set of white ceramic pasta shaped ornaments. Love!!! $10 of every sale went to Feeding America's Food Bank. The he set contains a cavatappi, ravioli, orecchiette, rigatoni, wagon wheel and farfalle. Since I am such a foodie and pasta is my thing, these are my favorite Christmas ornaments of all time! They looked so good on my tree, reflecting my personality and adding a bit of whimsy. I hope they do another collaboration next year. As many reviewers have stated, the customer service people working there don't proactively approach customers to see if they need help. It's strange because at most stores someone greets you the minute you walk in and they ask, "can I help you fine anything." I usually find that question annoying as I'm usually in a store to check everything out, not going in with a single purpose. So I never mind that those working leave me alone except for the time I was buying the chair. It took me at least 30 minutes to get someone to help me and it's not a purchase you can make unassisted as you have to select the fabric, color of chair legs, etc. The color and fabric pattern was so perfect to contrast and compliment my existing furniture that I found the patience to wait. I started to feel as if they didn't think I could afford to buy anything! Finally, a woman helped me. The chair was custom made based on my selections so it took a 6 weeks to get. It arrived right on schedule. Delivery was easy, the workers took care bringing it in and unwrapping it. No issues at all. And it looks fabulous and is super comfortable. Because I like the various products, quality and prices, I still give Crate and Barrel high marks.

    I just spent nearly $4,000 on two display cases made of tin and glass One would expect them to be of high quality but unfortunately, that was not the case. Both display cases had peeling paint, and one lacked the tipping straps If it were not for the significant hassle of returning them, would do so. Instead I will repaint them and obtain the straps myself. This is our second purchase from Crate & Barrel, and the first one also had a similar experience. There is evidently no quality control. Shop here only as a last resort!

    I highly recommend ordering any furniture pieces online and not through this store. If anything goes wrong in the ordering process (which I promise it will) - the sales associate and customer service teams (apparently these are two separate in store teams) either 1. Do not get back to you 2. Act like having a conversation about anything going wrong is beneath them 3. Tell you you need to wait until a different day to get something solved and then 4. Act like they're doing you a favor for finally solving the issue. Our in store shopping experience was great, but it's very obvious once your credit card is charged no one at the store or CB cares about you. There's also this extremely weird mentality that in store/online customer support can't cross and you can only be helped by the original sales associate. Save yourself the hassle and either only order online and don't order from Crate abs Barrel. And if you're curious, of the three pieces of furniture I ordered, 1 was the wrong item, and 2 items arrived damaged.

    I ordered my desk back in November. When I received it I noticed some tape on it. Little did I know they were covering up the damage to it. I've spent countless hours with customer service. Drove the return back to their warehouse and no one can still tell me where my replacement. Goes to show how much crate and barrel values their customers.

    We really love the design of furniture from Crate and Barrel. However, your delivery is the worst in the industry. I've 2 orders from Crate and Barrel and both of them were found broken right of the boxes. Based on local delivery company's information, the boxes were damage already when they receive from the semi-truck.  Another order is a dining table and it has cracked wood piece on the place where should be connected to table top. we're lucky to have a replacement but it's on back order. The waiting is forever.  Another item we got is a sectional and it has broken wood edge. Unfortunately, this item we bout was on sale and we couldn't get a replacement or return since the sale is final. This has put me in a second thought, what if you got a broken leg or unusable sofa after you find it out of the box? According to my recent experience, buying things from Crate & Barrel is risky. You payed thousands of money and you might have something that's damage and i'd never recommend to anyone. Think twice if you'd like to order.

    I was digging on some of the wall hangings though for the price tag I could definitely do better.

    We traveled from Boring to Tigard to look at bedroom furniture for our home at Broadway furniture…read more We arrived and parked in the parking lot. BOTH disabled parking spots (we have a permit) were blocked by a food truck. We were able to maneuver to get in with a wheelchair and let the salesperson know it was probably not legal to allow disabled parking spots near the door to be blocked. Reese, the salesperson said he understood and that it would be moved. We looked at bedroom furniture sets and discovered the custom made furniture that can be painted any color a customer chooses according to Reese. We liked the look but had one more store to look at before making a decision. After looking elsewhere we called Reese later that day (his phone # was now in our contacts as we were very serious about making a purchase) and spoke with him on the phone about the custom furniture. He sent us some photos of the different pieces. My wife replied by text and asked for more information....NOTHING! She texted him again and asked for more information....NOTHING! No text, no call....NOTHING! Two days later, we texted Reese and asked him to have the owner, Trent, call us. NO call. The next day, I called, got voicemail and asked Trent to call me that I had a concern I wanted to discuss. NON return call! It appears when you are at Broadway Furniture they pay attention to you, attempt to sell you furniture and are very responsive. IF you try to contact them for more information, to ask a question, or file a complaint, they ghost you and don't seem to care about you as a potential customer. Following the bad experience with Broadway Furniture, we called NW Furniture Mfg., the company that Reese had showed us their high quality furniture that we wanted to buy. NW Furniture Mfg. gave us the names of two other stores that can order custom furniture in the Portland area. We contacted one of those furniture stores, were encouraged by the salespersons professionalism and so we drove to that store. We looked at custom pieces and placed an order for a $10,000.00 bedroom set!!! (see receipt) Hopefully, next time someone asks for additional information on a product, Broadway Furniture will respond to the customer and save the sale and their reputation. Or maybe better yet, find another store who will treat you as a valued customer!

I've been on the prowl for this item for a while so... Nice folks there and I gather some or all of the staff is family. The quality of the furniture on display looked to be good and certainly stylish. This is not one of those high-end crazy expensive places where only the elite shop. What I saw is the sort of furniture that would fit nicely in any average middle class or young couple's place. Nice. Sturdy. Affordable. just the sort of store I would be patronizing. They are in a very easy to get to area right at 217 and hwy 99. North side of 99 just west of 217.

I won't be back, but glad they finally listened. Buyer beware, please! I am sorry to have to detail a customer service nightmare unfolding. This store appears to be a great place, with helpful associates and a decent selection. My experience has proven that after you've made your purchase, if there are problems, you won't be treated fairly or with respect as a customer. I have many years' experience in the past as a co-owner of a respected upholstery cleaning company and I am familiar with upholstery construction and how various fabrics hold up over time. I bought a Flexsteel recliner in August 2025 after many hours of consideration for the brand choice and especially the fabric. My sales rep seemed helpful and kind as I asked about the most durable fabric I could choose. I settled on my choice after that discussion and was told I'd made a good choice for my concern of durability. He had also mentioned in passing that some fabrics in the past from Flexsteel hadn't been durable enough and had been pulled from the lineup. I was told these recliners will last 30 years. The recliner arrived in October. Shortly after, I started seeing significant issues. 1) The chair squeaks and groans loudly when returning to a seated position; 2) the fabric started pilling heavily after only a few weeks in my home; 3) the batting is insufficient--this was confirmed by their 3rd-party repair service man who inspected the recliner in my home; 4) the interior of the piece reveals very shoddy workmanship, with stuffing coming out of unfinished seams, missing staples and lining fabric not attached where it should have been; 5) the right armrest fabric is noticeably crooked and their customer service rep insisted I try to work the fabric into place myself, which is impossible to do--I've tried. The repair man did not have tools when he entered my home and I thought he was there to assess, not actually do the repairs. He agreed there was insufficient batting in the recliner. I told him that if they are going to insist that I use a pill shaver to remove the pills every couple of weeks for the duration of owning this piece, and if I would have to accept the extra piece of 3rd-party batting he said he could stuff into the back rest (with nothing to be done, apparently, for the seat and footrest) I was not interested in keeping it and would ask for a refund of my purchase price. This recliner has failed the most basic of standards for a piece of any quality. I could have spent at least 6 times less on a disposable piece of furniture from Costco instead. Worst, I was now told by Barbara in customer service at Key Home that I have refused the rep's help and that therefore my warranty case is closed. I am now looking at taking this issue and my many photos (with metadata) and documentation to small claims court. I recommend, of course, that you shop elsewhere.

Paul Schatz's excuse for their PREDITORY return policy is because they're "a high end furniture store". Being a high end furniture store doesn't give you the right to rip people off with a ridiculous restocking fee! How is this legal?! They claim it cost a lot of money to clean a chair.... I've had my chairs professionally cleaned a few times and it was less than $100; it doesn't cost over $1300 to clean a chair!!
