He offered his services if I were to decide on picking out a vehicle in his establishment or outside of it. I did end up finding a used vehicle via private party though having the owner reach out to me personally regarding the situation and how humbly he handled it- I give kiddos to him as there aren't many used dealerships anymore with this kind of customer service.

They have a $4K 'market adjustment' on all their cars. This is not the case for other local Subaru…read moredealers including Eugene, Bend, or Klamath Falls. Those dealers offer at least a modest discount. Second problem was the sales staff.. told one individual we were just looking, don't need help, no thanks three (3!) times in a short visit. He tried to tell me that we were obligated by visiting their business and viewing their wares to have a discussion with them. Really? Won't go back. Not even for service. Don't trust them. Fortunately the nearby dealer in Klamath Falls is professional, well stocked, priced reasonable, and staffed by trained sales staff so we purchased our vehicle from them.

Called them on the phone and Zac K (service manager I think) assisted me. I told Zac my problem and he went right to work. So on a whim, besides my local Mercedes dealer, I also checked pricing at Mercedes of Medford. Even with 800 miles of diesel fuel to get there and back, I literally saved well over a thousand dollars by having this major service step done in Oregon while visiting my family. (And no sales tax on the tires and all the parts I replaced!) As a retired industrial service business owner I was quite pleased with my telephone and subsequent in-person interaction with both Service Adviser Dan and Parts Desk Agent Brandon. They were able to accomodate my requests regarding the scheduling of my visit so that all parts required were in stock the morning of my arrival and the extensive service work was accomplished in one day. I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Service Technician Justin and the time he spent with me providing recommendations and suggestions for the longevity of my Sprinter. (This was also my first exposure to the text and video summary of an initial service evaluation. It was very impressive.) At the end of the day I wanted to acknowledge the efforts of the above mentioned staff to Hugo, the Service Manager. Near 6pm in the evening, I found him sweeping out the service bay. Great management never shies away from doing the most mundane work if everyone else is busy and that's what needs to be done. That's leading by example. I can see why my experience with the Mercedes of Medford Service Department was so outstanding!

Terrible communication. Slow responses. No update on status of vehicle sale. The lack of support…read moresale started in September 2025 and is still continuing as the New Year 2026 rolls in. After loan approval, it took 14 days to schedule the notary public signing. Several days for them to receive back the paperwork. Then another 14 days to schedule delivery of the vehicle. Another 7-8 days for it to arrive. Once arrived a third party company that holds the title for the finance company, sent a message saying they would take care of getting the vehicle registered. I was not informed by the dealership of this process. I called the licensing company to ask a question on the same day that they reached out. Their representative did not reply for another three weeks. On November 3rd the Oregon temporary tags expired, so I was able to get a 30 day moving permit from the Nevada DMV. That temp permit expired on December 3rd. Then after submitting the requested documents, they submitted my document packet to the Nevada DMV. It has taken another 8 weeks for the DMV to issue registration and license plates on December 30, 2025. But the third party company had the registration package sent to the dealership in Oregon "at the request of the dealership". So as of today the vehicle still does not have license plates. In the mean time the vehicle was issued a citation of $75 for not having up to date registration. Because the vehicle is title under my company name, I had to get commercial insurance before applying for registration, which costs more than $400 per month. So the vehicle has been sitting idle in front of my house for the last two months, while I'm out of $800 in insurance costs, and two monthly loan payments amounting to nearly $2k. I bought the cargo van to use for last mile delivery in Las Vegas metro, but in order to register with services like Amazon Flex, or rent it out on Turo Adventures it needs to be legally registered. At each step in the process I had to continuously prod the dealership sales person for updates. Many times the call had to be elevated to management. Most replies the sales contact would just pass it on to another name within Medford Mercedes. He would not spend an ounce of energy trying to reply the proper information, but would defer the question to someone else. Each time he deferred, it would take 24-48 hours for a response. One of many examples was when after taking possession of the vehicle there is supposed to be a release of the MBUX software from the previous owner to allow the current owner to connect my phone app that controls and communicates with the vehicle's infotainment system. I had to go to the Mercedes manufacturer's contact and the dealership management to get it connected. Both parties pointed to the sales contact, in which he had no idea how to get it connected and once again referred the question to another person within the Medford MB dealership. The latest incident in which the licensing company had the plates sent to the dealership rather than the current owner, I reached out to the same sales rep, and he immediately would not answer the question, but referred it to someone else, in which I will not hear from until at least next Monday, January 5, 2025. I can not recommend doing business with this dealership. They either just don't care, or there not getting paid enough to motivate them to communicate with their customers.

Love the fact that I can pick up six packs of Snapple Apple here - we can't do that at Kroger-owned Smith's in Nevada. Their pharmacy is also awesome, and with the new website, it's extremely easy to transfer prescriptions between Kroger owned pharmacies (especially Smith's, which Freddy's owned before they merged with Kroger.) Gas price tends to be a bit higher than the other store - also, some items can be cheaper at Walmart, but I find that Freddy's has a lot of stuff that Wally World doesn't.

Today, I had an experience that wasn't particularly pleasant. I own a 2022 Ford F-250 with 27,000 miles on it. On August 3rd, I scheduled a service appointment online for the morning of August 12th, addressing two issues: the battery and TPMS failure. However, starting two days ago, the passenger door stopped opening. My Ford vehicle is equipped with a system that automatically unlocks the door when I place my hand inside the handle while carrying the key. The mechanism sounds like it's working, but the door won't open. When I arrived at the dealership at the scheduled time, I immediately encountered some disappointing news. I was told that online appointments only accommodate simple oil changes. However, the online scheduling system clearly offered a variety of service options, including battery and tire services, which I selected and provided detailed notes on the issues. They began to warn me that since my appointment was booked as a simple oil change, the allotted time might not be sufficient to address my concerns. I also mentioned the door issue that started two days ago, and the response was that it could take an additional 3-4 days to fix. Having worked on vehicles myself and knowing that a simple internal panel removal or reconnecting a dislodged rod could potentially resolve the issue, I found the approach taken by the service representative frustrating. They seemed focused on presenting the worst-case scenario and making me feel uncomfortable about the booking process, instead of trying to understand my concerns. When discussing the battery issue, I ultimately decided not to leave my vehicle with them. The representative informed me that the battery warranty covers three years, but corrosion is not included. They offered a $69 cleaning service, explaining that if the corrosion had appeared within the first year, the battery would have been replaced under warranty. Since my truck is 2 years and 10 months old with 27,000 miles, the free service was not an option. I declined the paid service, as I can clean the corrosion myself. I raised a concern about the possibility of a problem with the charging controller or charging system, given that there was corrosion on the positive terminal. The representative seemed unsure of what I was referring to and kept insisting on the need for terminal cleaning. Later, I realized that the correct term was "voltage regulator," not "charging controller." That was my mistake for not using the correct terminology. However, if the representative had been more focused on understanding the customer's perspective, the conversation might have taken a different direction. Overall, I was displeased with how the Crater Lake Ford website's scheduling system was blamed on the customer, how the time needed for every issue was explained with the worst-case scenario, and how the response to my concerns primarily revolved around paid services. I understand that every vehicle has its strengths and potential flaws, and warranty services exist to address these issues. However, when seeking warranty service, being told that I made the wrong appointment, that the process will take a long time, and that I should opt for paid services instead does little to inspire confidence in the vehicle, the manufacturer, or the dealership. read more

I had an outstanding buying experience. I was helped by Jeff, and he was perfect. No pressure, no BS, just information that I needed. He was patient and gave me the time I needed to run numbers and contact my wife to see if the purchase could work. They found the financing that I wanted within my exact limitations. This was a special find, an older diesel with very low mileage. For those of you that have been shopping in today's used diesel market, you know it is overwhelming and EXPENSIVE. This was truly the right truck for the right price and I know it will meet all of my needs. They let me test drive the truck before it was even on the lot, interrupting the detailing work. I have been shopping for months and had to take it home on the same day. I just returned from my diesel mechanic and this truck is literally perfect, clearly treated like a princess from the beginning. I've been shopping for a new vehicle for a couple years now. I say a couple years not because I haven't found the one I like or wanted to buy. I haven't purchased a vehicle because of the overbearing car salesmen at area dealerships. Just didn't like their tactics. That is until I walked onto the lot at Crater Lake Ford. That's where I found Dan Vogt. Dan didn't make me feel like I needed to run home and take a shower. Dan made me comfortable during the stressful time of buying my new car. A new car that I wanted to buy a long time ago. Dan answered my questions honestly and thoughtfully and when he didn't know an answer, he admitted to it and hurried to get the answer. I live in Santa Rosa, CA when I wanted to get a new car I spoke with my Sister in OR She put me in touch with her Car guy, Russ Turner, he was wonderful. We talked on the phone and made a deal. I told him what I wanted in a car and in no time I got my Ford Focus. She was so very pretty and had every thing I ask for. I have bought 2 other new cars from other dealers and this was the best new car buying experience ever. After the sell most dealers just move on but not Russ he is by far the best man for the job. The best dealership in southern Oregon. We looked at several vehicles at several dealerships all the way up in Eugene down to Medford. Most interactions with the sales people we met were miserable to say the least. Typical vultures!!! When we arrived at Crater Lake Ford we were prepared to get flocked with some sort of pushy sales person who is just looking for the next deal. But not here. Kevin Crocker helped us into a beautiful 2014 Escape with no pressure and helped us along the entire process. When I found out he was non commission I was blown away. Living in the middle of Medford and Ashland it's just as easy for me to go to Ashland and the Ford dealer there but decided to try the Crater Lake dealer first thinking they would have a better selection of vehicles and hopefully better prices too. Russ Turner has assisted my wife and I in the purchase of both an F350 and Escape and we had a quite pleasurable experience, so much that my son puchased a new F-150 through Russ. The new service to pick up and return your vehicle is awesome. I scheduled a service for my Ford Ranger with Megan Fowler and she suggested it. The staff, including Ava Smyth the service advisor, made it easy and they were super friendly. The communication was by phone to set it up and continued with texts telling me about each stage of pick up and return. I was even able to follow along with my vehicle's route. In 2024, I purchased a "lifetime oil contract from them for $995. One year later, I traded in that car for new CX-50. Tanner had me sign a cancellation form to get the prorated refund from my trade-in. I was told I'd receive the refund within 90 days. Needless to say, the $709 never arrived, and it's been 6 months! To make matters worse, he convinced me to buy a new oil change contract on the new car for another $995. I was misled and lied to by Tanner and a manager named Brett P. I've been emailing and leaving messages for Tanner, yet he never gave me the courtesy of a response. After my recent purchase, the dealership wanted me to review Tanner. I mistakenly gave him a positive review, which I now regret. I will either revise that to reflect my recent experiences or complete a new one naming the staff involved. This brings me to yesterday, when I drove the 40 minutes to address this with Tanner. He said he never got the VM's or emails I left, but would investigate and send me a Docusign to process this refund. I asked if I could just sign the form again while I was there, but he had another excuse for why that wasn't possible. I waited 24 hrs and the DocuSign never came. I've had enough of their lies. Since Tanner didn't follow through once again, I called to speak with a manager. Brett P. told me he'd do some research and call me back. Brett called and informed me that the cancellation paperwork was never processed, with no explanation as to the reason why or who is responsible. Brett told me I just needed to call their third-party vendor, DWS, and they'd mail my refund directly to my home. That didn't happen either. Before I hung up, I asked Brett if I could call him back should I have any more issues, to which he agreed. I tried calling Brett back x 2 and left him a voicemail explaining what DWS is requesting. I've yet to hear back from him or anyone from Crater Lake. DWS is adding additional roadblocks, requiring a hard copy of my cancellation request and proof of loan payoff. I was never provided with this documentation, so I'll need to drive in again today to get these documents. I've been inconvenienced one too many times by their sales team and management. Here's my recommendation after buying 2 Mazdas from Crater Lake in the last two years: *** Drive the extra miles to buy from another Mazda dealership in Eugene or Brookings, if you don't want to end up with buyer's remorse! The Butler Ford in Ashland service team identified the issue immediately as a recall problem and assured us they could fix it at no cost. That made us happy, as this is an expensive fix (about $3400). But then, after a day of back-and-forth phone calls, they told us that our car was too old for the recall benefit to apply, and we would have to pay the full amount. ' Not even an appeal to Ford's "Goodwill" division made a dent in this decision. So -- there's a known defect in the way the car was manufactured, but Ford refuses to honor it's own customer service recall. It makes no sense. The defect in the car doesn't go away just because the car gets older. It's still there, lurking, waiting to crack the flywheel and make your car inoperable. That's what happened to us, and it could happen to you. We also had to repeatedly ask if we could have a loaner car for our 1-car family to use while this expensive repair was being done. They finally allowed us to rent a car for $30/day. The repair took over a week. There are lots of ways this could have gone to so that Butler Ford of Ashland could keep us as customers. Needless to say, we're very dissatisified. As a result of this experience, we will never buy a Ford again, not from Butler Ford in Ashland, not from any Ford dealer. Ever.
