    Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun

If I lived in Kingston, I'd love to come here to study and work often. Their coffee is fantastic, and they have an assortment of so many baked goods that are all delicious. I had the roasted nut latte with oat milk, a slice of vegan carrot cake, and a sticky pecan bun. The baked goods are a tad on the sweeter side, but they're still so good with the coffee I drank today. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're in town!

Sorry. Took a bite prior to taking photo. Couldn't wait

First time here. Coffee hit the spot. Desert was to die for. I had the butter tart. Loved it because it was the oerfect size and crust was nice and thin. The young man behind the counter seemed to not like his job. Not even a smile. Must have been having a bad day. Overall good ambiance

Quite like their sweet baked goods selection and savoury refrigerated items! Everything I did try was tasty & fresh. They have a cozy yet spacious studying and eating space too. I would definitely frequent this spot for a café date or study spot.

An absolute must-try if you are ever in Kingston! This coffeeshop is an icon in the heart of downtown Kingston and it's super popular with the student population. It's the perfect spot if you want to get some work and studying done --there is lots of seating space at the back with cozy couches close to outlets-- are on a first date, or any other sort of meet-up you have in mind. Their prices are on the higher end, but I think it's absolutely worth it if you can enjoy the beautiful space and ambience inside. They also have an outdoor patio. The baristas will take your name when you order drinks and are super friendly! Some of my favourite orders are: - Smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese & onions - Pumpkin pie (fall favourite) - Baklava & coffee - Maple latte They have a range of funky and cool teas as well. I tried the strawberry chocolate tea, but I was a bit unimpressed. Their sweets and pastries are absolutely delicious though, and they are super fresh (especially their cinnamon rolls)!

CRAVE is dope. First off, the menu is EXTENSIVE. Huge. Can be slightly overwhelming but I haven't had anything I hated, so if you don't know what you want, just take a random guess and you'll probably enjoy yourself. The coffee is roasted in house, the juices are made in house and the baked goods are made in house and are ridiculous. The cinnamon rolls? INSANE. They used to own a cinnamon bun shop so obviously they better come correct on that. Worth every bite and calorie lol The staff are also awesome. Really nice and genuinely care about their customers. If you're in Kingston this should be your first go-to. ONE thing I will say, because of the cool vibe, it attracts a lot of university students and can get very busy. Be warned, you may not get a seat.

This place was so wonderful to work with. Through email I requested a vegan cake, filled out the easy to use form and was so impressed with their vegan options. I added a few of my sons interests and the design was so incredible! The cake was loved by all (vegans and non vegans) and was rich and dense and delicious. The price was also right! We will definitely get our celebration cakes from crave from now on!

    Cozy CRAVE corner!

CRAVE has an abundance of delicious teas and baked goods to choose from, ranging from strawberry chocolate tea to creamsicle ombré cake. There are many vegan and gluten-free goodies so that no one is left out, and they have refrigerated meals such as wraps and salads to get a bit more nutritious (if that's your thing). I've had a variety of interpersonal interactions with the staff, usually entirely to pleasant, with the occasional person seeming a little too cool for me. Nonetheless, they're very good for studying (big tables, outlets, good Internet connection) if you can handle the dim and warm lighting. They even have a section of tables that are reserved as "technology free" for those who don't want to be burdened by "kids these days"! It's a bit pricey but generally tasty to make up for it.

First time customer, definitely not the last. If you are visiting Kingston, Ontario. I would say that this is a must try spot. Not only is this place has a nice coffee shop vibe, their selection are delicious and well made. Since it was a scorching day, I opted to go with a blended caramel slushie coffee drink and plain bagel with cream cheese. Although it was a bit on the costly side, i don't regret every bite and every sip. It was divine and wish I had more. There are lots of seating for you and your friends to hang out, study or a date. One thing I did dislike, (beside the prices) are the lack of music playing inside, It was non-existent. Maybe this might be some one off scenario, but some should take note if they are looking at this place to release some school stress.

Delicious moka and espresso...on-site roasted coffee.

During a recent trip to Ktown a friend and I strolled down the "main drag" Princess street to find a treat and I was pleasantly surprised/shocked to see that a Starbucks had CLOSED and in its' place, the smaller chain coffee shop "Balzac's". Nice! But even nicer was the new locally owned "Crave Coffee & Bakery" shop a bit further on down the street. With everything made from scratch in-house the wares they have on offer are delicious and reasonably priced. 3-5 types of sweet rolls alone (drool!), cookies, squares etc. The coffee is roasted in-house (you see the roaster when you walk in) and is exquisite. Definitely my current favourite espresso in all of Kingston (and for those from there, you know there are MANY options to choose from). I didn't have the chance to sample the to-go salads but they looked fresh and healthy - with vegetarian and (I believe) a vegan option thrown in to the mix as well. The staff are warm and knowledgable and the owner overseeing operations - happy to talk about his latest venture. I'll definitely be recommending this coffee/sweets and light meals spot to friends visiting Kingston. Come fall/winter this will be a particularly cozy spot as they have a gas fireplace panel at the back and some comfy lounge chairs.

A few vegan options - not great
    Diana S.

Maybe their coffee is better... I'm really disappointed with their vegan cookie. I purchased the almond chocolate vegan cookie ($3+) and it was sooo dry. Pass. Not sure if their non-vegan sweets are any better, but boy, I hope they expand their vegan options in terms of both taste and variety. The food options here are pricey for their size. But cute concept and not bad for working if you can find a seat in the crowd!

Unfortunately, our experience was tarnished by very poor and rude service. We were told the order would take 5-10 minutes, so we sat at an empty table. After a few minutes, a server approached us, abruptly asked we move to the 'communal table' because we had ordered takeout, and literally held out her hand to take my partner's coffee, stating no outside drinks were allowed. She took it and placed it behind the counter literally without any courtesy, please, or thank you. The person who took our original order never mentioned either the no-outside-drinks rule or any restrictions on where we could sit. After forcing us to move, the same server didn't even bring our food to the table, she just told us it was sitting on the counter. When we collected it, we only received the two breakfast sandwiches. The coffee that was included in the combo was completely missing (we didn't realize till after we left). We waited just under 25 minutes for a simple takeout order. The combination of uncommunicated rules, being demeaned and moved like we weren't welcome, the confiscation of the drink, and the incomplete order made the whole interaction feel disrespectful. The atmosphere is nice, but the rude service left such a bad impression... won't be back unfortunately.
