I've supported Cravings for a long time, but after my recent experiences, I feel incredibly disappointed and disrespected as a customer. I tried one of the new $14 salads--no protein, just lettuce, a few veggies, and a so-called "homemade" Italian dressing. I genuinely enjoyed the dressing and asked for the recipe three times out of curiosity. On the third time, I was told she wouldn't share it--but would be willing to sell it to me. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today's economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I've supported feels off-putting and greedy. On top of that, I tried a "tiramisu cookie" that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you're going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you're promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can't help but question whether the dressing is even homemade--or if it's just bottled and marked up. These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won't be returning. read more

The new bakery is absolutely PERFECT! The vibe, the design, the displays- gorgeous! Highly recommend the half moon cookies or raspberry linzer cookies- killer! Maybe I'm odd but I prefer baked goods to not have a painfully sweetened taste, this bakery has mastered the art of less is more! Drove by this yesterday and decided to stop in as it looked so cute. Walked inside to a beautiful, light, airy wonderland with smiling, helpful people waiting to share their baked goods with us. It was hard to choose as there were an extraordinary number of choices that all looked fabulous. So many we had never heard of before. My husband who loves pistachio ice cream and chocolate chip cookies got the pistachio chocolate chip cookie like an answer to a dream! I got the oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip cookie the size of a large burger. Unbelievably delicious. And like a full meal in itself. I still have half of it left! If you want to treat yourself or take your party to the next level with really special cookies and cupcakes, this is the place. And love to see people investing in Gloversville. read more

Very over priced and dry cupcakes. Having a huge glob of fudge on top of a very dry cupcake is not good.

Good things are worth paying the price for and the quality of cookies and cupcakes produced here can't be excelled. A little better organization would speed customer service but the goods are worth waiting for. read more

I stopped yesterday to grab some goodies for after a hike. Had the Harry Potter butterbeer cupcakes..... dare I say they were magical? Light and fluffy cake with an absolutely to die for buttercream frosting. I also got the chocolate chip cookie dough sandwich cookies... I swear those things are 1/2 a lb each and half the size of your head. They're absolutely delicious. Can't wait to pair one with some vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, but they're just as heavenly with a glass of cold milk!! Stopped by for some hot tea on Thanksgiving eve. We were delighted to discover such wonderful baked goods. Cakes,cookies and beautiful delicious cup cakes. For a special event or just a snack we highly recommend this little treasure. We left with a dozen cupcakes and few cookies along with our hot tea.
