So good. We just dropped in and they were so accommodating. I would recommend making a reservation because it is a small place. The staff was accommodating and really went out of their way to find us comfortable seating. The food was so good, my husband who is not a chicken lover was so happy with his chicken sandwich (I wish I had gotten the actual name of the sandwich) he said he would order it again. My FIL loved his Shrimp Arugula salad. He couldn't stop eating it. My quiche was excellent so delicious , a blend of the ham, cheese and eggs with a flaky crust, and the soup was also delicious and creamy. I wish I had tried one of their lattes they looked so good. Amazing find for brunch, lunch and high tea! I was so pleased with their bahn mi sandwiches, fresh baked sticky buns, jam, leek soup etc. I wish they hadn't run out of French toast otherwise I could have added it to my list of favorites! Everything was made just right. The sandwich wasn't spicy which I liked yet still have lots of flavor and was light. The pastries were all not too overly sweet and paired well the cappuccino. My. Partner and I were passing through town, and were recommended this place for lunch. Definitely worth it. Everybody we dealt with was beyond friendly and helpful. we each had a slice of the diced ham and cheddar quiche. Rich, delicious, a decent sized slice, and the crust was very flaky. I also had the quinoa salad. The quinoa was perfectly done, and I loved the pistachios that were in it. They added flavor and crunch. My friend had the orange pekoe iced tea, and I had the Arnold Palmer. They were obviously done with a good quality tea, because they did not need any sugar. They were perfect. for dessert, we had the ginger cake with cherries on top. My partner also had whipped cream on top of hers, and she loved it. The cake was moist, delicious, and the cherries just had the right amount of tartness. again, a very generous sloce. The price was extremely reasonable, and we would definitely come back again. Today we stopped at the Brimstone Bakery after a visit to the Beekman 1802 shop in Sharon Springs. What a wonderful gem of a cafe and BAKERY! We had a slice of lump crabmeat quiche, a spinach mushroom quiche, a side of quinoa fig salad and a cold potato leek soup accompanied by a fabulous blueberry blended iced tea. The quiches were light and airy and loaded with flavor-- and fresh ingredients! The hand pies and scones in the front case looked equally as appetizing, and the cakes and cookies-- oh my! Prices are extremely reasonable, and you can place orders for the Brimstone goodies, especially yummy cakes like carrot, old fashioned vanilla and red velvet. Our charming host and owner of Brimstone, Anthony Leberto, is also the chef and is sure to welcome you if you come by. He also provides a catering business for the area, and, Brimstone still serves food until FOUR PM most days and has ample outdoor seating!! There is no boundaries with flavor here! Well this mainly a bakery, they offer an incredible menu of quiche, sandwiches, soup, and have many artisan jams. Who comes up with Caramelized Apple, Fennel, Sweet Potato soup? Let me tell you the flavors were spot on! Nothing was over powering and it was incredible. Paired with a BLT starting with a fresh baked roll (incredibly light) fresh locally grown tomatoes, bacon done perfectly, on a bed of spring lettuce. The deserts were just as tasty. Mixed berry crumble made with fresh berries, ginger snaps, lemon/blueberry scone all were delicious. Can hardly wait to try the jams we purchased. The young ladies at the counter were incredibly nice and patient with us, even offered a taste of the soup before ordering. We were approached a few times at the table (I'm sure it was the owners) asking how our meal was and offered advice on deserts and the jam they offered. Delicious food with perfect service at a great price. We've been back 3 times since discovering this lunch spot. We started with drip coffee and mushroom quiche slices. The Quiche is amazing!! The next time we came for lunch and had a chicken salad sandwich and a BLT on brioche. All was delicious. We came on Saturday for the special sticky buns and they're totally worth it. This bakery has such amazing baked goods that when eating any of them, I'm nearly bought to tears. I'm not even exaggerating. They're that good. Currently, as I write, I am eating the s'mores brownies and I'm choking back tears so that I can swallow this beautiful, delicious, magnificent piece of heaven. I've had many a "s'more" themed baked good but none are as finely executed as this. Truly this is a work of edible art that engages all your senses and transcends you to a dimension above nirvana. Some other goods I tried were: Riesling Caraway jelly. A. May. Zing. It takes all of me not to eat all the jelly and the jar so as to not waste any of it. It is the star of any charcuterie plate. Pumpkin Bread. Soft. Fluffy. Perfectly sweet. A moist, delectable bread. Ginger biscotti. Candied ginger in this biscotti is my soulmate because I adore ginger. I never even thought of putting ginger in biscotti but it's the edible therapy I need on a shi**y day. I 100% blew my budget on this place but I have no regrets. Now, you may be thinking... well, I'm not going to Sharon Springs to try this! Lucky for you, they deliver! They are worth every penny and more.
