I wish they stayed open later- I visited on a Thursday and they closed at 9 pm. There were lots of people still there when I got there (around 8:45p) and I'm appreciative that they still served me. My selections of beer were all only ok, but maybe I just got ones that aren't their best (?), although I heard several people order the honey bear. I would go back and try other options to see if they have beers that I really like. read more

Looking for breweries in TN and came upon this place. We had had a couple of their beers at some of the local restaurants so knew it was good beer. But the place was awesome inside. Very large inside the overflow room did not feel at all like an overflow room, but more like an extension of the main area. And the outside was pretty big as well. The bartenders were very fast and very nice. We got a full poor and a flight so I could taste multiple beers. All were great. All were cold fresh and clean. Speaking of clean, the restrooms here or some of the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen in a brewery. We did not try the food, but some multiple plates coming out to multiple tables and it looked and smelled amazing. Next time we're coming for lunch. We will definitely be back. read more

I was only able to stay for a few minutes and one beer, but I'm sold on this place and can't wait to get back. The silo stage area, trough planters, fences, live music, and school bus pizza food truck gave me a ton to enjoy before I even found the beer. The music was great and the patio is dog friendly. I wish I could have sat there all night. As for the beer I only had time to try one so I went for a coconut porter on a fall day. It was very well done! The coconut smoothed the porter out nicely. I'd buy these to go to share back home! I did notice the beer menu was extensive so it's definitely a place to allow some time to explore. read more

Tried this place last weekend and loved it! Nicely decorated. Employees welcoming and friendly. Beer was served cold in 20 oz pours! That was nice. My wife had a blonde ale and I enjoyed a red ale. Both were delicious. Free, fresh popcorn. Highly recommended! read more

Found Red Silo on a trip to explore Cookeville area waterfalls. Where to start? The beer was absolutely some of the best I've had. Sampled the lagers and ales. One was better than the other. The Big Mexican (Mexican Lager) was out of this world. Great flavor and body. Didn't need the lime, but it was a Mexican beer. Also had the Cech Pilsner, a couple of IPA's, a pale ale, cream ale and even the light beer (this was over the course of three days as we visited each evening we were there). The staff was awesome, friendly and helpful with samples (there were over 24 beers on tap!). The brewery its self was awesome. Can't say enough about this place, when traveling this way again, we will stop again. read more

We were in Cookeville for a night when I discovered Red Silo beer at a local liquor store. When I learned they had a taproom, I decided to check it out. Glad I did! The place is very cool. Nice building with lots of seating options. They had several beers on tap - all their own brews. I opted for a flight since I had not tried any of their beers. All were very good. I even picked up a couple of bottles to take home. At dinner that night the restaurant had a Red Silo brew I had not tried at the taproom, so I tried it. I'll definitely hit this place up again next time I have an opportunity to be in town! read more

There was a dark haired girl bartending around 3pm this afternoon that was really efficient, nice, helpful & attentive. We had some nice drinks & a good time. There was a dude that was also behind the bar that was less than friendly that could take some lessons in customer service from her, but over all we're still leaving 5 stars. read more

This is a cool place! They make a wide range of beers and you can sample whatever you think you'd enjoy before making your decision. There's a popcorn machine where you can help yourself to and a big variety of games and cards to sit and enjoy drinking your beer and playing a game or two. Very big place with outdoor area as well. This was cool brewery. The staff was super friendly and made good recommendations. They had a little stage with live music also a great outdoor area with the Red Silo henceforth the name. Also it's in neat area with a cool looking restaurant across the street that was packed as well. I will have to try it out the next Im in the area. Only drawback is parking is limited. read more

Fantastic service from people that know their beer. The place is clean with lots of seating but the beer fell flat. After one flight and a full size we were not impressed. Half had good nose, all lacked body, and taste was decent. It is great to have some good microbrewery options in Cookeville (at last)! It took awhile, mainly due to antiquated state laws. The beer at Red Silo is like no other. It is a unique flavor, and everything on tap is of excellent quality (which means infinitely better than Budweiser). As a matter of fact, don't come in asking for a Bud, Miller or Coors -- you'll get what's on the tap labeled "water". Their best beer (so far) is the P-Nit Butter Porter. This beer is to die for! Peanut better taste! Smooth porter! Excellent! The Sassy Abbott is also an excellent, high gravity brew. They also have some good IPAs (Dadbod), and the Home Run Red is excellent in the Irish Red category. Overall, there are 20 beers on tap, so there is a flavor for everybody. Everything they serve is brewed on-site. They also make an excellent root beer and a variety of flavored creme sodas, in the non-alcoholic category. Join the "cup club" and you get a discount and your own cup. There is no food served, other than free popcorn. But the Indian restaurant next door and World Foods down the street both deliver to Red Silo. A World Foods pizza goes GREAT with Red Silo beer! read more

I love trying out new breweries and I really loved coming here. My fiancée and I came here in September to try it out and we were very pleased with the selection of beer and the taste of the beer. They didn't have flights when we went, but they let us try as many as we wanted for free, which was just as good! You can bring food into the tasting area (you can order from World Foods nearby) since they don't have a cafe and it's just a really nice place to grab a brew and hang out. We had such a great time at Red Silo Brewery. There were 24 different beers on tap and two sodas! You could get glasses of beer at the brewery and they even had growlers to take home. We had Skinny Bikini and Verry Berry Sour. Can't wait to try the homemade Red Silo Rootbeer! Owners are in-house and on top of everything! We love the tables and seating. I love the beer here and the staff; especially, Elijah. He's very friendly and accommodating, which is what brings me back here. I have never had a beer at Red Silo that was bad. I've had some that I didn't like (just two and a matter of taste really) but it was still good beer.
