Hadn't been back since last season, and my has this place changed. The interior is completely different now and they actually have it built out now, and beautifully done. Whereas before it was more like a popup spot in the middle of the open floor in Hong Kong City Mall, now it is a fully decked out bar and restaurant with plenty of social media worthy picture opportunities at every corner. The food is still good (and still salty), and the crawfish were a good size and each bite takes you straight to Flavortown. There is plenty of seating now and even a nice structure outside to enjoy your meal overlooking the legendary waters outside Ocean Palace, if you are so inclined. I can see why this place is an even bigger draw than before.

First time coming since the new renovations. I love the liveliness that it brings. The wall art and decorations. Also, really enjoyed having sports playing on the TVs gives it more of a sports bar feel. The food remains the same good quality. Best crawfish in Houston by far. I always get the signature flavor which is the blend. Don't bother getting the individual seasonings because the Signature is AMAZING! The Viet Cajun that is only special to the Bellaire location is not good. I had friends try that and when they compared it to the signature everyone loved the signature way more. Service is quick and efficient. They are constantly checking in on you and going out of their way to make sure you're enjoying your food. They seem to also be knowledgeable on fan favorites especially with the new food items from pho prime which was much appreciated.

Crawfish Cafe lived up to the hype. I have heard about it over the years but never went to try, now I know I will have to come back. The boils are timed to perfection, the shrimp was crisp and the crawfish tender. What really made this spot hit was the seasoning! It seeps into the food and the garlic is so good. I tried the garlic and thai basil, what a unique combo. I have not had thai basil boils before and it was a HITTT! We had a couple of servers taking care of us, it felt a little like we were a forgotten sheep but they communicated clearly to us and were very friendly. The restaurant can get busy but that makes the food taste better in a way, there is a lively buzz to the place. There is also more seating than we expected + ask for crayons for the table activities!

I went on a Saturday evening at 6. But we didn't get seated till after 7. It was worth the hour wait though. Everything I had there was very good. From the oyster sampler to the crawfish beignets, micheladas and their special seasoned crawfish. I definitely recommend their house special blend signature. And I would get the reg chargrilled and the viet style grilled oysters again. They were great. It was a full house and it was full but not stupid crowded which was nice. The volume level of the crowd and room was nice, not too much echo like some places I've been. Our waiter Ethan was amazing. He was very helpful and friendly. Hopefully we will have him again next time.

I love their space after the remodel. Huge cafe with plenty of seating! They have a full bar. We were immediately seated at 6 PM on a Tuesday evening. Great service from Anh! They even have robots delivering food to the tables! On 4/7 - the live crawfish were good sizes, mainly large at $9.99/lb. We got the lemon pepper, medium spice level. It arrived in 15 minutes. It was so flavorful, so good! We found out later that the Viet Cajun flavor is available only at this location so we will be back to try. The combination pho from Pho Prime was surprisingly really good, plenty of meat and noodles were cooked perfect. The boudin eggrolls were also good! We had a really good dining experience here and find the flavors are better than their other locations. I can't wait to go back for more crawfish and seafood!

Crawfish Cafe never fails. Is Crawfish season over?... Not here!! With their newly renovated and redesigned Restaurant, this place Tran sent you to a whole New World of deliciousness. Incredible staff that takes care of you, like Kevin and the friendly host. Staff makes the experience even much better! Come check out their array of food items... I have not tried their collaboration with Pho Prime menu items, but I hope I get to try it next time! Chow Chow Time!!

I love beignet!!! It's really good and warm! I recommend the beignet and crawfish! They are tasty with Louisiana style. There's a Vietnamese decoration inside. The service always makes sure to check if we are okay with the food.

my friend who used to live in texas told me about this spot and i'm so glad she did! visiting from california, this might be the best crawfish i've ever had. i ordered 1 pound of crawfish, head on shrimp, and green mussels, a total of 3 pounds of seafood. everything tasted so fresh and the signature sauce was delicious. maybe i'm so used to getting frozen crawfish from the places in california that im blown away by the taste and texture of fresh crawfish. my boyfriend was intrigued by the crawfish beignets so we got an order of those which were pleasantly good, but i didn't eat much of it so i could save room for the seafood. the restaurant is pretty big, they had plenty of tables and was kid friendly. they also offer pho which is interesting. a friend ordered pho and he seemed to enjoy it. our server was kind and patient with our large party. next time i want to try the thai basil flavor !

OVERVIEW: Arrived around 12:15pm on a Friday and only waited 10-15 mins. to be seated. Super busy but so good. Service was very casual and a little slow, but everything we ordered was great. Coming from Austin where we don't have a ton of Viet Cajun crawfish, this was great crawfish and I was excited to get to try it during crawfish season. The crawfish were a great size and pricing was reasonable. Would definitely revisit if I was in Houston again! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, huge shopping center with plenty of parking. - Reservations? No, but I think you can call ahead to join the waitlist. - Happy hour? No. FOOD RATING: Everything was super flavorful and tasty. We came for the crawfish and were satisfied with what we ordered! Would definitely revisit.

Great service, food, and ambiance (as you can see the interior was also quite pretty)! I came alone on a Monday evening and got seated immediately. I've been to other Crawfish Cafe locations so I knew what to expect as far as flavor and menu options but I was blown away by the fact that this location also offers pho and banh mi Drink: their mango margarita is my go to drink from them because it always hits the spot and worth all the bang for your buck (only $7.50 and you only need 1) Entree: got 2 pounds of crawfish & 1 pound of (headless) shrimp in medium Viet Cajun & Thai basil sauce. I usually get their signature sauce but my waitress (Thi) convinced me to try something new and it did not disappoint! This sauce combo had a nice kick and really blended the Asian flavor influences very well. I also added a corn on the cob that did not live up to the hype of the rest of my meal Needless to say, I will be returning to try their pho and other menu items!

Nut allergy friendly: I had no issues with anything here! Parking: Plenty in the big Hong Kong mall lot. We came with a group of 8 and had about a 10 minute wait on a Monday at 7PM. Time to Order: ~15 minutes for the Garlic Noodles, ~20 minutes for appetizers like wings and beignets, ~40 minutes for crawfish I shared a #1 combo with one other person. I would add another pound of crawfish ($11/lb) if you have any appetite. The amount of shrimp, corn, and potato is appropriate (maybe double potato or corn if you especially like that). I also had one beignet and a chicken wing as part of the shared group order. Crawfish Beignet (5/5): Wow, how unique is this. Incredibly rich and flavorful with an excellent crispy bite. Definitely would order again, not sure if I could handle more than 1-2 myself. Wings (3.5/5): Overall surprisingly good and decent valued wings. Crawfish (4.5/5): A solid mix of larger crawfish (big enough to even get some meat from the claws) and smaller ones, and we got the Viet Cajun style and it was delicious. The spice really mixed in well with the corn. Clams (which one person at my table ordered separately) really pick up the spice. I got to try the Extra Spicy and would definitely get that next time. The regular spicy was good. Garlic Noodles (4.5/5): Excellent palate cleanser and good portions to be sharable if the entree size is ordered. Vincent was a great waiter and kept our drinks topped off. Their renovations look very modern and although it took a while for our crawfish to come out, apps were great to keep us satiated. Looking forward to coming back again.

The new updated crawfish cafe is so nice! Despite all the changes they still remain consistent in flavor and quality! Their crawfish is always cooked perfectly and my favorite flavor to get is their signature. We had Kendall as our server, and she was so quick and attentive despite how busy it was. The new updated venue looks so much nicer, they have more room for large parties and I love their pandan cocktail! I Can't wait to come Back and to try more. I would also like to recommend their fried okra!! Their okra tasted so fresh, it still had a good bite to it and wasn't mushy at all!

However, I do believe that, with so much big competition in this area, some of their dishes can be better. 1. Ha Kao - Pretty nice and plump dumplings with a good wrapper to filling ratio, though the wrapper kept falling apart on us and sticking to the container and didn't complement the shrimp on the inside. 2. Siu Mai - I'm so mad I didn't enjoy this, despite it being one of my favorite things to get at dim sum. The ones we got were just really meaty with none of the other flavors coming through. 3. Shrimp Rice Rolls - I adore these, and Crown thankfully makes it really good. Perfectly bouncy, and unlike the Ha Kao, the texture of this is right for the inside to complement it. I do wish their sauce was a little more complex, though. 4. Fried Shrimp Balls - This is one of the dishes that seems to be pretty uniform across all the restaurants. You're either going to like it or not. I enjoyed it though. 5. Soup Dumplings - Yummy, light broth and not overly medicinal. The wrapper texture was a little inconsistent from bite to bite overall. 6. Egg Tart - I usually don't really like this, but this one was made well. Nice crumbly texture and a very light eggy taste in the filling. Other than that, there were no major flaws in either the service nor the albeit bare interior and exterior of the building. Overall a really good experience that holds up well compared to the other dim sum places in the area.

Michael, the owner, greeted us and took care of us! We started with the Jumbo Crab Fingers which were really good - I'm honestly not huge on seafood, so I enjoyed these a lot more than I thought I would. Ironically, I'm not big on oysters either, so I ordered the Jumbo Golden Fried Shrimp which hit the spot real good. Large shrimp, well fried, flavored, and the tartar sauce was addicting. The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, carrying a bit more of a cajun flavor rather than just regularly salted. My parents definitely enjoy oysters, so they ordered the Charbroiled Oysters and really enjoyed it, as well as the Uni Oyster with Quail Egg. They also got the Cowboy Lobster Shrimp Roll that was gone before I even took a second look their way. We finished the meal with a yummy, dense basque cheesecake! As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

I believe the crawfish is seasonal, so go during crawfish season because this pho was delicious. The crawfish were so tender and the pho was so flavorful. The beef dish was also so good to eat and balanced. The fried beef balanced so well with the fresh salad and rice. I will say that when we went the parking lot was a little deserted at night. I would definitely lock your doors and take all your valuables. But that's all or Houston, so just stay safe!

I loved the street vendor feel that hits you from the moment you walk up with the casual outdoor seating. However, the interior, with its regal decor and trendy feel was what caught my attention. Our waiter was very kind and took time to explain the items on the menu, and his recommendation of the egg coffee drink was perfect for what I was looking for! The egg rolls, skewers, fried rice and clams were all delicious. Everything was rich in flavor and unique compared to other Asian cuisines I had tried before. Can't wait to return to try the rest of the menu!

The food is consistently great, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the wide range of seafood options. I've tried the razor clams, and the grilled pompano, and I highly recommend both! They also have a solid lunch menu, which makes it an even better value. Service is always good, and the seating areas, inside and out, are very inviting. Definitely worth checking out!

Came here with family to celebrate Father's Day so we splurged on the Tamarind Dungeness Crab (MP was $38 at the time in Jun 2026) and it was the most memorable dish I've had in a long time. The coating on the crab is super light and was fried perfectly so that the juices were all sealed inside. Since it was fresh, the crab meat is super sweet and soft. The tamarind sauce is also SO addicting that I ate 2 bowls of rice with it. One crab was enough to feed 3 of us. Another must order dish is their snow pea leaves. I don't know why but it tastes 10x better than when I make it at home myself. Skip the chef's special chicken - the sauce doesn't contain the green onions, only the ginger, making it not as fragrant and missing the mark on this iconic HK dish.

Instant disappointment with the gai-lan or any Choi (green veggies). They steam cook and put the oyster sauce on it. No wok-hay. This is not Cantonese/Guangzhou/Hong Kong type of way of cooking. Not even Chinese. Looks good, but doesn't taste good. Lack of flavors in the dishes. During Lunch Saturday, very empty. Annoyed they like to stare at you across. Can't compete Cantonese-Chinese cooking. No offense, stick with Vietnamese cooking if you can't compete. I had Viet-Chinese food at a place called Boston Lobster in San Gabriel Valley, CA and it was good.
