I've been taking boxing classes and I have nothing to complain about that, although the staff sucks, they never help me when I have a problem, it takes days or even a week for them to answer your messages. One random Saturday The girl at the front desk told me to wear something 'bigger' for the classes, and a week later another girl was using EXACTLY the same shorts as me, and I don't want to forget to mention the gym shorts are normal size, I just feel comfortable to use shorts working out but apparently you cant do that at crazy mma. Great place. Wrestled all my life and this place is a good place to learn and workout different forms of combat. They Give you a one week trial to see if you like it, then give you two plans based off your interests. They make it clear that if you cancel, you will be charged a cancellation fee; so if you don't think you will be staying for at least 6 months not the place for you. Great trainers, good facility, offer gear as well for sale at the gym which is very convenient. They have athletes compete as well and there's good support in the room for those that do. I have been training jiu jitsu for almost 5 years. For me jiu jitsu has been truly life changing. In my first year of training I lost 60lbs. I had never done anything athletic before and the atmosphere created by the instructors really made me feel comfortable. They pushed me just hard enough so that I achieved my goals without feeling like I was being yelled at. I started jiu jitsu at Crazy 88 in Elkridge and have recently started training and helping out with classes at the Owings Mills location. The atmosphere in OM is great. It is friendly and inviting while still maintaining the solid teaching ethic that made the Elkridge school so successful. I spend my days plowing the cubicle fields right down the street from Crazy 88 OM which makes it very convenient for me to come in after work. The coaching staff is super passionate about teaching and cultivating the students and school. I am really happy to be training here and have made many new friends. Since this is a new school with a couple of us old timers mixed in, there is a really good variety of skill levels in the room. New people coming in have many other new people to train with and several more experienced people to receive guidance from. And they ask for ridiculous proofs which you cant get and what you give is never enough. I've been a member of 5 different Gym's before and never had such a bad experience. They tell you to sign a contract without explaining to you the cancelation or options for putting it on hold. When i asked couch Jon during the contract signing he assured me its a standard contract and should be not problem if i need to put the membership on hold, they will work with me and not to worry. BIG MISTAKE, Should have never signed!!! My dad passed away and i contacted the billing company they use to explain to them that i won't be attending for the remainder of my contract which was 3 month. They gave me a runaround but i was under the impression everything was fine and they put my membership on hold just like i was promised. After a year i get a collection notice from a lawyer saying i owe a bunch of money to them plus lawyer fees. Tried to contact the owner couch Julius of Crazy 88 to resolve this situation but never got a call or email back. Ended up paying $400 for nothing, i rather have spent that money on toys and books for my daughter. Get something straight they don't care about you as a customer, its a business and their main priority is to make money first. I will be leaving the same review for the Elkridge location since i've attended both. read more

I wish I knew before I signed a contact that there would be favoritism when moving up in rank. I have been here 7 months and seen people come in after me and moved up in rank. And to add insult to injury they are not perfect and still mess up. Of all the money I pay the mats and bathrooms could be cleaner. Overall, I do get a good work out and have lost so far 20 lbs. I always get good compliments about how I am improving and doing a good job but I am bored at level 1 and want to learn something new. Im just counting down until the end of my contract and research another martial arts school that sees me and is willing to help me advance.
