The billing practices of this office are shady as all get out. And the fact that allergy tests are so expensive and they don't warn you is insane. 30 second test where they "don't find anything" but your kid is obviously reacting to something, and then their hands pop right out for that $400 on the spot is the reason we haven't been back in a year. My son's inhaler broke and his main provider's office is closed this week for "training" and we desperately need a new one, so I called this office in a last ditch effort to get a prescription sent over and they refused unless they saw him first and I paid some outstanding balance of $14. From what?? Where did that charge come from? Then they can't get us in till Wednesday, and my kid is struggling and needs an inhaler. I was informed "too bad. We're not sending one until his appt." So the compassion in this office is completely lacking, and I was reminded rather violently why I refuse to do business with them. I can't understand why there are so many positive reviews for this place. Honestly, I'd rather spend $150 at urgent care to get a new one than continue playing this office's sick games. read more

*****BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES**** My son went to an initial consult with Dr Tracy which is super sweet (this is the reason we didn't give 1 star). They performed the standard check up and went through the motions or so we thought. They conducted testing which as parents never going to a pulmonologist were under the impression was standard. They fail to advise you prior to conducting the testing that it was going to cost upwards of 900.00 just for an allergy test yes 900.00 is what they billed for a 30 second alergy test in addition to other minor test our bill was in excess of 1800-1900.00 for services provided in what was less than 20 mins mostly with a medical assistant. Were they even necessary? I called Dawn and asked because we are now receiving bills from a third party for a nebulizer (which is fine) she indicated we signed a docuement advising fees may apply perfect. However, the offering of a nebulizer is also deceptive in the sense that the way it is offered is " Do you have a nebulizer at home or would you like one?" Where we have an issue is the following: We as patients should be given the courtesy when testing is conducted that these are going to be a large out of pocket expense. I asked why we were not advised prior to conducting these outragous costly tests that we were going to be responsible for a subtantial portion of the bill. Dawn's response was "we deal with too many insurances to know what exactly you would be responsible for." PERFECT, I get it, but if these services are conducted at inital consult (for most new paients) then they should be contacting our insurance prior to performing these fairly regular test to advise;hey these test are going to be xxxx amout of out of pocket. Dawn seems to believe that their office is absolved of any patient responsibility to provide their patients the opportunity to make an informed decision. By hiding behind the fact that we agreed via signed documents that we are responsible for knowing the coverage of our benefits. However, how is the patient supposed to know that certain services performed during the appointment may result in other costs outside of your Co/pay deductible and that they arent standard or covered during the appointment. Dawn even went as far as stating that we "should stop the provider during services" and call our insurance to confirm costs as many of their other patients do during the appointment (I find that very unlikely). Oh, almost forgot to mention they had our insurance information weeks prior to his visit as well as the reason we scheduled the appoinment so, for them to not know these test would be a part of the visit is a complete lie. They don't inform you because its a money maker for the office and most would opt out if they new the cost. I'm sure a vast majority of new patients are getting these same test leading us to belevie this is a deliberate breakdown and unethical business pactice. Again, doctors seem to care but office seems to be out for every money grab possible and will not take any responsibility for proper disclosure by hiding behind blanketed legal jargon designed to protect THEM not you. Expect the surprise bills to keep rolling in after choosing this provider. Lets wait for the genaric response from Dawn. Let me guess they care so much for every patient and do the absolute best they can to provide exceptional service. BS they know exactly what they are doing. Its the reason when you call the first thing out of thier mouths are "who is your insurance". Failed healthcare by not so compasionate front office staff. The Dr's i'm sure are unaware of these little tricks to bill the insurance and subsequently the patients for services they are not aware are being completed until they have already been preformed. Make sure prior to your appointment you are informed of any and ALL services that will be performed during your expensive initial consult. read more

This office is great, the staff is always so friendly and helpful with all phone calls and inquiries. Each visit consists of a pulmonary function test to check the kids. If your kiddos is sick, they always have sick visit availability for quick appointments. Dr Panesar has a great bedside manner, he is very thorough and extremely smart. I wholeheartedly entrust my girls health in him. Dr Panesar is well respected in the medical community and loved by his patients and families. He was recommended by my daughters Home Health RN. My daughter has a rare chronic illness and he has her best interest at heart and is working his magic to help her. My son has been seeing Mrs. Tracy for a couple years now and loves when we get to see her. My son will be 4 and has never felt scared when we go. He gets very excited when we go so does my 5 year old daughter who doesn't need to be seen. The treatment and care he receives is amazing. Her proactive treatment has kept him out of the ER for RSV. We no longer take our son to the pedi for cold type illness we go straight to see her and willing to pay the higher copay to get personalized care. The office staff is amazing as well. The ER Dr referred us to Crazy about Kids Pulmonary after my son had to be rushed to the emergency room with a serious asthma attack (his 2nd trip to the ER in his first 8 years of life). Dr Panasear has had asthma his entire life and he is compassionate, caring and takes the time to listen and understand what your kid is going through because he has gone through it himself. Dr P put my son on a plan and 10 years later he has never had another ER visit. We have returned for annual visits and see his wife Traci. Traci is equally awesome - Super knowledgeable and caring. She is down to earth and fun and makes every visit enjoyable. Most importantly, she does a great job at assessing the situation and prescribing an effective action plan. This year my son went to college and we visited Traci and she was so great about getting him set up for life away from home and told him to call her if anything comes up and he needs help on his asthma. Let me start by saying I rarely leave reviews but I feel CAKP deserves one. My son who is almost 4 and autistic has been having consistent health issues since February. He has a difficult time telling me what is bothering him so it's pretty much a guessing game. I have taken him to his pediatrician, multiple urgent cares and even the ER a couple times. Every single time I get brushed off and told he's fine and to let the illness run its course. This has led to many sleepless nights and constant worry. His last go around in the ER it was suggested I take him to a pulmonologist, which is why I scheduled the appointment with CAKP and saw Traci. I was very skeptical that she was going to offer anything new to help my son but we were going to give it a try. Let me say, I was blown away by the time we left. Her MA Kelsey was absolutely fantastic with my son and so super sweet. Traci thoroughly checked my son and took the time to ask me everything about his medical past and what my concerns were. She offered solutions and made me feel at ease that my concerns were valid. We have now been there two more times, once for a follow up and today for a sick visit (they got me in the same day mind you). Traci is no nonsense and does not take chances with the health of my child which is more than I can say for some of the other facilities that let my son suffer with a 104 degree fever for 5 days before they were willing to do anything. If I could I would take my son to Traci for everything health related! I am absolutely so grateful I found Traci and the CAKP office, they are the best of the best. read more

My 2 year old son loves him and it makes for an easy appointment (not easy for a toddler) but 2) And most important, I can tell him and his office care. Called to renew my son's inhaler 1 year and 1 month past my last visit. We were leaving town that day and only 1 puff left on the inhaler he uses every day to avoid asthma attacks. The office REFUSED to refill it until he was seen there!! I begged and even asked for a sample to get us through the weekend- but they said no. I was more than happy to schedule an appointment first thing Monday but that was not good enough for them. I can't believe there are pediatric physicians out there who are willing and knowingly depriving a 7 year old child of his daily inhaler- a right to breath!!!!!! I have been taking my angel to see Dr. Penasar and NP Arney since she was about 4 years old. She will be 8 in 2 months and we couldn't be more pleased. Customer service from the ladies up front is just the beginning of a wonderful experience. When your child is sick, or dealing with chronic respiratory issues, you really want to be in the hands of people who genuinely care. These people care. I have so much trust in them, I couldn't imagine what life would have been like without their intervention. I hope NP Arney, nor Dr. Penasar choose to retire at least for another 10 years. This office has the most amazing staff! Dr. Panesar and Tracy take the time to understand your concerns and they build a relationship with your child. We are thankful to have them as our provider for our allergic kiddo. The only non 5 Star review on here is from a parent who was irresponsible and didn't prepare properly so that their child had enough medicine for a trip. It is ridiculous to blame a situation like that on the office. It is not the providers fault that you wait until the last minute to take care of your child's needs. The office has always been very accommodating to our family and they go above and beyond to make their patients lives better. We think you will love them too!! read more
