Place looks so run down and gross from the outside. Can't even update their tethered sign falling apart over the old business sign. The quality of food matches the appearance. My family got food poisoning after eating here.

Food: got the seafood boil in Cajun sauce and garlic butter. The flavor is really potent, but it makes the entire experience so much more enjoyable. We both got mild and the flavors were very much like garlic spice. It's not overly too salty and you get a good amount of size seafood. The potatoes and corn were cooked perfectly. It wasn't too dry or too soggy. Overall, I would come here again for their seafood boil, but they also have other options like sushi and Ramen that I would like to try Service: the service was quick and easy to get everything we needed. Ambiance: it was pretty empty on a Sunday night. It's pretty bright inside but very clean. Location accommodation: there is a few parking spots at the front side of the restaurant, but it's also interesting angle where is right in front of the main road

Love coming here for the poke bowls. Even though this place re-opened and rebranded to be more seafood-centric I still haven't grabbed any of their seafood boils. I use to always come here to grab sushi and other entrees but now I just stick to the poke bowls and occasionally a bubble tea as my regular items. On the appetizer side, I like to grab the mini pork bun if I'm feeling extra hungry. Very good! The fried shrimp dumpling tastes a bit off though. I think it uses too much black pepper or something because every bite has a strong after-taste. And I've ordered it on two different occasions so I don't think it's a fluke. I hope to try their seafood boil someday, once I convince myself to try something new.

10/10 the poke bowl melted in my mouth. So delicious. The seafood boil was so well seasoned and the perfect amount of savory and salty. I forgot to take a picture then just as I remembered it was scarfed down! The service was so quick. The bubble tea was huge and so cheap. Don't read those bad reviews. I want to go back right now even though I am stuffed.

This place never fails. I've gotten the tuna, salmon, shrimp & egg poke bowls. They're all amazing! They also have an array of fresh sides to put in it. Avocado, Jalapeños, Masago, Sesame Seeds & Pineapple just to name a few. I have yet to try the crawfish. My only complaint is the crab is imitation crab but I still have to give it 5 stars!

A seafood boil finally near by us! The place looks nice with bright red walls. There was nobody there but maybe cause it's a Monday night. I would go there on the weekend and see how live it is. You can also bring your own bottle! We ordered to go, fried calamaris, spicy dumpling and shrimp seafood boil with crazy sauce. They were all yummy! Maybe to make it more official, they should also have a menu board for those ordering to instead of just giving us paper menu. Only reason they're not getting a five star, is because they don't serve garlic noodles. Overall, I liked it and will return to try other things.

great local seafood wholesaler!…read more Living in Fitchburg my entire life, I have been blind to many local offerings that my quaint town provides. It was only a couple of years ago that a coworker of mine was raving about this place and couldn't believe I had never gone. The parking spots in front of the building fill up very quickly. However, if you drive towards the back where the trucks pull in, you can actually drive up the slope for several more spots. I believe there's another adjacent bunch of spots to park on the ground level, but I'm not confident. As soon as you step inside, there are 2 lines you can wait in. Towards the left you can order food from their kitchen and enjoy the typical assortment of fried seafoods that you've probably already familiar with from many other joints. In fact, this place has a sister location called Kay's Dairy Bar in Westminster. Towards the right, you stand in line for the wholesale products. Today I came in the some big ol lobsters. The staff here are all super friendly, as well as all of the customers. I had pleasant conversations with everyone. I was able to get my three 4-pound behemoths steamed here, and you can eat ask for a cup of drawn butter from the restaurant side. Since I was feeling hungry, I grabbed a plate of fried scallops too. Lobsters - I follow their FB page and I was drawn in by a couple of the posts showcasing some behemoths. I was slightly disappointed that they maxed out at about 4-pounds on the day I showed up, but everyone in line said that it was better that way anyway. My lobsters took about 30min to steam and when I got home and cracked them open, the meat was perfection. Fried Scallops - I love love love scallops. This place does it just as well as Kimball's and I think I'm just going to come here from now on to support a local business instead.

The sign says Fish Market & Chowder Company, but what you walk into is 95% restaurant, 5% "technicality fish market," and that last 5% is doing the kind of work that would make a union rep cry. Let's be clear: The Angler is no longer selling fresh seafood. Not in any meaningful, market‑based, "take this home and cook it" way. What they are selling is the idea of a fish market -- the ghost of one -- while running a packed dining room full of people slurping oysters like it's a Cape Cod tourist trap in July. And speaking of tourist traps: They've got a tour bus parked outside. A tour bus. For a "local fish market." That's like seeing a stretch limo outside a Dollar Tree -- you immediately know something is off. As a chef, my time is valuable. As a food reviewer with an actual show, my time is documented. And nothing ticks me off faster than false advertising dressed up as nostalgia. If you've abandoned the fresh fish counter because the restaurant side makes more money? Fine. But update your signage. Update your branding. Stop wasting people's gas and goodwill. I walked in looking for fresh haddock. What I got was wall‑to‑wall oyster eaters and not a single square foot dedicated to what the sign promised. You can get oysters anywhere. You cannot get a proper local fish counter everywhere -- and certainly not in a space this cramped. If ownership wants to reach out and explain the pivot, I'm open to it. I'll even give them a redemption arc on one of my platforms. But right now? This new direction is the wrong fit for the location, the footprint, and the legacy they're trading on. Call me when you're ready to rebuild. I'll help. But today? Today was a misstep -- and an avoidable one.

I ordered the Swordfish Special, which was served with shrimp, risotto, and a light sauce that was a beautiful blend of Provençal and scampi influences. One of our friends had never tried swordfish before and ordered the same dish. Needless to say, they are now officially "hooked!" The Korean Short Rib entrée was also excellent, with just the right amount of spice and tremendous flavor. My wife ordered the Fried Whole Belly Clams, which she absolutely loved. My review is no reflection on the atmosphere or waitstaff... strictly the food. Our appetizers were pretty good... calamari and escargot... nothing special, but, acceptable. After that.. things went way downhill. Two of us, ordered the veal parm. It was served on a piping hot plate, however, I can assure you, this was not made to order. The veal cutlet was clearly cooked hours before as it was barely lukewarm warm in Temperature and the breading was not one bit, crispy. It was soggy. Not made to order! It was served over a bed of "angel hair." The angel hair was cut up in multiple small pieces... the way you would serve it to a baby experiencing pasta for the first time. I asked our waitress "why is the pasta all cut up like this?" She responded: "I don't know." Not only was it cut up into pieces...(who does that? ) it was also soggy and way overcooked. The meal was a huge disappointment. My other dining companion ordered the fried pork chop which was a special. It wasn't too bad... he reported it was tender... it came with mash and a side of corn that looked like it came straight out of a can of Delmonte. No frills there. It was clearly canned corn. My sister got the cavatappi pasta that came with shrimp ; cannellini beans and a veg mixed in and it was swimming in a sub-par sauce that was lacking in any seasoning. All the entrees lacked basic seasoning. I want to go to a restaurant where my dish is made to order. Hot and crispy cutlets; Al Dente pasta; corn that's not poured out of a tin can and entrees that are served hot! This place has gone way downhill. I was there several years ago my experience was very different. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant and it certainly wasn't worth the $300 dollars (including tip) that we paid. Entrees were 30 + dollars each! What a joke to be charging those prices for the sub-standard food we were served. We will never go back. On a Positive note, my sister was given a lovely birthday dessert plate of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.
