BBQ combo pork belly and duck
    Amy L.

Several folks at the MSU music school recommended this place during our recent campus visit, and we were glad we checked it out! It's nothing fancy decor-wise, you're greeted by tanks of fish and lobster when you walk in. We were seated quickly. Service is brisk to the point that we felt a little rushed -- they are busy! That said, our order came out fairly quickly. Two of us shared a plate of Chinese broccoli with Chinese sausage, fresh and crunchy with a delicious sauce. Then we got a BBQ combo platter of duck and pork belly with white rice. The duck wasn't my favorite, to be honest, but the pork belly was really good with a nicely crispy skin. Servings were huge and we took enough food for another serving with us. Coming here with a group would be a great way to share and sample more dishes. Just be aware if you're hoping for a beer or a glass of wine -- Everyday doesn't have a liquor license.

Approved by Asian parents, so you know it's legit! My go to is always the Dry Hotpot. You have to pick 7 meats/veggies minimum, and it can get pricey, so it's recommended that you get it for the whole table to share (or, don't, if you want leftovers). I love mala anything, so this is the perfect dish for me! No recommendations on which meats and veggies to get, it's all based on personal preference! We also like to get the fried rice rolls that have shrimp on the inside. The outside is so crunchy, and the shrimp is juicy! Crab fried rice is also a crowd favorite. The restaurant is mostly clean, but I will note that at the end of the day, it is a place that uses a lot of oil for cooking, so IYKYK... Service is good; the waitresses have always been very nice and polite to us!

Everything we've had so far has been amazing! There's plenty of seating to cater to large groups. If you're in a big party I'd recommend getting there right when they open just to get a table and not have to wait so long. The seafood is FRESH! When you walk in there are tanks on the side where there's clams, crab, fish, etc. Clams in the black bean sauce is a favorite. The salt and pepper crab is also a must when dining here, the fried garlic that it's topped with is so good! The peaking duck is delicious! It came out fairly quickly because knowing that dish it usually takes awhile for it to come out. It's served with thin tortillas rather than a bun which imo was better because you could eat more of it without getting so full. It also comes with some cucumbers, pickled carrots and radish, green onion and a sweet plum sauce.

Still good! Tried something new and pictures for your review below. My seafood chow fun(?) with curry was different but oh so tasty!

This is my favorite place for authentic Chinese food in Lansing. The Peking duck is my favorite here. The service is very efficient and friendly. The restaurant is casual - good for groups. Will definitely be back!

This is a no frills Chinese restaurant. True to its name, I would say it's pretty authentic! My family and I got: - Peking duck: comes with soup, pancakes, and fried rice. We chose to add salted fish to the duck friend rice and it added the perfect amount on saltiness to it - stir fried pea sprout: I love any green vegetable in a garlic sauce I would definitely come back. It really hit the spot.

Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisines - I love it when most of what I need to say is already in the name of the restaurant. This place is unassuming from the outside - a sign among many signs in a strip mall. Man is that deceiving though.... When we walked in, we were treated to fish tanks with all kinds of live sea food (lobster, crab, flounder, tilapia, etc) and hanging cooked ducks. I have a friend who studied abroad in China for 5 years who recommended this as the local place that reminded him most of the village where he taught. We're big duck fans, so we opted for the Peking duck 3-course meal which included pancakes, duck-bone-broth soup, Peking duck with skin, and a mountain of mushroom fried rice. As many of you know, we've been to over 300 restaurants in the Lansing area, and many more around the world, so it takes a bit for a place to really blow our minds. Consider our minds blown. The duck was so crisp, tender, and balanced, that I swear if I just had let it sit on my tongue and not chewed, it would have melted away. The soup was deep and full of umami flavor. The fried rice was perfect, and the pancakes made great backup "silverware" to our chopsticks. The place was packed, and I could see why. This hidden gem won't remain hidden for long, I suspect.

    Everyday BBQ Platter

My family and I stopped by for dinner this past Sunday and they were able to fit a party of 12. We ordered so much food here and most of what we ordered were quite good. I was impressed to find this quality of food here. The peking duck came with some wrappers and garnish along with hoisin sauce for dipping. The duck skin was crispy and the duck itself was tender. However, on it's own it's a bit bland, so definitely dip it in hoisin sauce! This also came with a duck soup (contained veggies and beancurd, I think) but I thought it was on the blander side. It's a good palette cleanser I guess, but could use a tad more seasoning. We also got the fish maw and crab meat soup. Similarly, good amount of seafood "fresh" flavors, but could use more seasoning. The EVERYDAY BBQ PLATTER was a fan favorite at our table. This comes with Hainanese chicken, crispy roasted pork belly and char siu. I personally really liked the strong sesame flavor that's been coated on the chicken and the pork belly was delicious with its super crunchy skin. My favorite was definitely the lobster with ginger & scallion sauce. The lobster shell had been nicely pan-fried and super flavorful ("wok hay") after being cooked in the sauce. There wasn't a whole lot of lobster meat, but the sauce and flavors made up for it. This was a solid option and I would highly recommend it if you are a fan. We also got the mayo shrimp with mango which was pretty standard. We also got the steamed bass which had a nice soy sauce that went with it. The fish was overcooked in some parts but the sweetness of the soy sauce complemented it well. There were a few other dishes (like peashoots and braised lamb in clay pot) that we also enjoyed. Overall, the whole meal was almost $400 after tax and tip, which is a fair price for the amount of food and quality of food we got.

Dinner food is better than dim sum here. Food is delicious and fresh, perfect spot for authentic Chinese food in East Lansing area. Big portions and great variety.

We came here so that my cousin could try the roasted duck and pork so that he may order it from here for his upcoming wedding. We got here at noon on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy, but since we were a party of 7 we were seated in the back area. Our waitress was helpful with how to order. My mom also was able to speak Chinese with her and add other items. We mainly ordered dim sum items consisting of hargow (shrimp dumplings), fried chive and pork dumplings, sui mai, chicken feet, shrimp rolls, pineapple buns, egg, custard, tarts, and durian pastry tarts. We also added Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce, roasted pork, roasted duck, eggplant with meat and garlic sauce, and beef chow fun. Everything was very delicious. I would have been here a lot if they were around while I went to school at that time.

Peking Duck Three Course, BBQ Platter, Spicy Salt and Pepper Seafood, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce (No Meat)

The food is amazing and the service is good. The atmosphere is nice too when we went there it wasn't that crowded. We got the Peking duck, lobsters, seafood trio, bbq mix, eggplant, and some dim sum on the side. All the food was delicious.

I looked at the menu and for the dry pot, you need to select a min. of seven items from the menu. If doing dry pot, let the staff know, as there's a separate menu for it. I went with med. spice, added: squid x 2, rice noodles x 2, shrimp x 2, beef brisket x 2, pork belly x 2, baby bokchoy x 1, chinese cabbage x 1, egg plant x 1, dry tofu x 2, & enoki mushroom x 1 Yes, added a lot and it's because the menu was not helpful. Lot of the items are singular, couldn't tell if "Squid" meant 1 or 1 serving. If it was 1 serving, how many squids came in a serving? As I wasn't sure, some of them I ended up ordering two. IE: Shrimp, I got 2 orders, there were 9 or 10 shrimps... had I know 1 order was equal to 5 shrimps, I would have ordered just 1. I wish they would update their menu to reflect the topping items so the customers know how many comes in a order. My bill came out to $70, yeah, it can get expensive! It took some time to get the food... but because I ordered lot of items, the food that came out was good for 5 people :) It was good, loved the medium spice and definitely hit the spot. Oh and yes, had leftover and took it home. I thought I was going a good job of eating, but barely made dent in the plate. I brought the leftovers home and had two more meals out of it. If you are in EL area, definitely visit the place and if you go, go with friends to try other offerings. If you are solo diner and ordering dry pot, only order one item of each from the list and 7 items from the list will be plenty for one person. Three stars for now.

And they had Sichuan dishes plus the "American" Chinese dishes you'd expect. I see they also do dim sum but we didn't try that. They have a ton of vegetarian options! The server told us that they have been open since about 2011 and they used to only have traditional Sichuan food. Their primary customer base was international students who wanted authentic Chinese food like they had at home. But after Covid there were few international students from China in town and their business was struggling, so they expanded the menu to appeal to American tastes. As a result, the menu is huge!
