We came on a Saturday at dinner time and just had a short wait time for a booth. The vibe was fine; nothing really unique, but had good mood lighting. Our waitress seemed really unsure of herself. We wondered if she may have been new, which is fine, but she just seemed like she wasn't confident or fully present. We had two appetizers; the Rangoon purses, I think they were called; which were nothing extraordinary. We also had the Calamari. It was HUGE. I've never seen such big pieces, they looked like onion rings. The presentation was so bland. No color, no sauces. I know there were sauce options on the table, but I was surprised given that the serving dishes had a spot for sauce, that they couldn't have whipped up something unique for the apps. My friends got the Hibachi and were underwhelmed; they didn't love the miso soup or salads, either. I had ordered the Tiger sushi roll and some Nigiri, which the menu just refers to as "sushi", which was weird. I would say the sushi was a step above Meijer sushi, honestly. Pretty chewy, very basic presentation. Nigiri was okay. No real desire to go back when there are better options. read more

We finally come back after haven't gone here in over a year. The cost for all you can eat increase $3 per person but it is expected. Waiter is very attentive and keeps bringing food after we order shortly. We were all very hungry after skipping lunch on the way home from Silver Lakes so we ate quite a bit, especially my teens. Made the most out of it and will definitely come back some time soon. 2 things my son didnt like is pizza sushi & mango rolls. Just the flavor isn't his favorite. Solid ayce spot. Very unique how they give individual menus for each person so you don't need to stress about cramming everyone's order onto one sheet. Their hot foods were very tasty and we were already quite full from the appetizers before the sushi even came out. Their fish was definitely better quality than some other ayce sushi places I've tried. We checked off the food we wanted and it came out in waves. The jalapeño popper tuna was good and the seaweed salad had the perfect amount of sesame flavoring. The sushi rolls were mediocre and the ramen was terrible (meat tough and chewy plus noodles slimy). We ended up ordering about half of what we wanted cause the server scared us off the rip! Typical all you can eat sushi place that's been replicated all over the country. This place seems on par with the first ones I went to when they started popping up in the early 2010s. Service was quick and efficient, ordering was simple and the food was delivered in a timely manner. The food itself was good. Fish quality was typical for this area, my only gripe with these places is the fact they give you so much rice in their rolls and nigiri to fill you. Cmon guys we know. Arrived for dinner and was greeted immediately at the door. Great customer service in general-even our server Farris was awesome. She gave us a background of the menu and how to order. My husband liked the sushi and was a fan! I'm picky so I didn't try the platter in the photos. All you can eat is fun but besides the sushi, we weren't a fan of everything else which makes it hard to choose things when it's all you can eat. I still would go back but it's definitely not somewhere I can afford often as it's hard NOT to get the all you can eat when their prices are as high as they are for sushi by itself. We opted for the all you can eat, and it was amazing. They aren't crazy strict about waste (just don't be ridiculous) and the food comes out pretty fast. You can watch the sushi chefs make your food, and they are wicked fast. The sushi rolls are very creative, and there's always going to be something you don't like, but it's fun to try out a bunch of things. One of the owners was walking around serving water, so it shows that they are part of the business from top to bottom, which is always nice to see. read more

The fried rice was executed poorly. They gave us microwaved fried rice which is a big no no. I have made better fried rice at my own crib which should not be the case when I'm going out to eat. We got the AYCE after considering it was only a little bit more than the price of entrees. I was not expecting great things at first; how good could AYCE food be? The answer: VERY. The sushi rolls were AMAZING. Nothing tasted or looked like it had just been sitting out, waiting to be ordered. We tried gyoza, shumai, eel sushi, CCC roll, crazy salmon roll, Sakura roll, udon, fried rice, Japanese bbq beef, and chicken hibachi. All that for only $60. Always wonderful service, the servers always check up on us often and they are friendly and kind. This has been my brother and i's go to spot, we like to come here every month. The pricing for AYCE is decently priced and the menu offers a good variety of items. I wish they had more desserts options, as I'm lactose intolerant and they only have 3 ice cream flavors for the dessert. My husband and I decided to give this place a try despite some negative comments on yelp. They all had fantastic customer service. They had great knowledge of their menu items and gladly answered if we had any questions. Even though the place was packed, they were very attentive. My 7 month old son was lent a baby toy to keep him occupied while mom and dad ate. That was the sweetest gesture I've ever experienced at a restaurant. I was so grateful. We didn't expect this place to serve high quality food, but based off prior reviews the food shouldn't be terrible either. A lot of the 4-5 star reviews seem to rave about how good the food is, but it was all just meh. I liked the concept of serving the meal in smaller portions so you can try everything. But once again the food was just mediocre. My biggest criticism for Ohana is their sushi rolls. Almost all of their rolls use either spicy mayo, eel sauce, or both. I found the best part to be the sashimi and nigiri. The fish quality was about average. Overall, I'd compare the experience to eating at a decent college dining hall.
