Still great in 2025!…read more Had the jamming burger specials with the yummy jammified onions and they satisfied the burger craving without fault. The pretzel bites were also salty and bready nuggets of deliciousness. Service was great and friendly! It doesn't have a particularly great look outside or inside (mostly a bar with some tall tables and several large screen tvs) but they are consistently good with their flavorful offerings, which is what matters most.

The restaurant wasn't busy so we sat at the bar to watch football. We ordered wings and the special tacos of the day which were eye of the round tomatillo tacos with pico. We get the buffalo sauce and cajun dry rub on our wings which were 5 stars. The tacos not so much. For $15 the three tacos were tiny, 3 pieces of eye of the round on two tacos, 4 on third. The pico was tomatoes with a tiny piece of jalapeno and onion in water, weird. The tomatillo sauce was ok, but not the best. We LOVE this place but these tacos missed the mark. Service was good. At the end, Lauren took over. She was friendly and introduced herself to us and others at the bar. She mostly cashed us out, but we liked her friendliness. Go with confidence, it's a great local bar/restaurant with good, friendly service.

I originally thought this was going to be a shot and a beer type of bar, but I was pleasantly surprised with the craft beer offering. The day I was there they had Lawsons Sip of Sunshine on tap. Also, I give them credit for correctly pouring Guinness. It was done to perfection. This will not be the type of bar where you will get high end craft cocktails with freshly squeezed juices and house made simple syrups. However, they do have a full liquor offering for your basic cocktails. The bar is also very charitable as well and does numerous charity drives throughout the year. One of the things to note is it is a cash only bar and does not accept credit cards. The true ratings is a 4.5 and the only reason it loses a half a star is because credit cards are not accepted.

Extremely festive with tasteful Christmas decorations. We decided to sit at the bar to get a better feel. Caley first welcomed us. Very professional and friendly. We ordered a drink and looked over the menu, which is limited, but she recommended the mac n cheese, so we tried it. It was a 4 out of 5. Very nice, creamy and good. We also had the privilege of meeting Brittany (one of owners) and Mike (bartender). All were very helpful In recommending other restaurants to try and just genuine conversation. The bar is decorated so well for Christmas, offers true darts, and table shuffle board. On our very first visit we were treated like long term regulars. Go with complete confidence. We will gladly be back.

The menu is on the smaller size, but has great offerings and is suitable for the space the building holds. Our order: -We took advantage of the half off wings special for Sundays. The wings were a good size and we enjoyed the blue cheese. -Brussel sprouts: piping hot! And a HUGE portion size. These are a saucier style (loved the maple flavor) as opposed to crispy. Definitely recommend. -Buffalo Cauliflower: Just the right amount of kick and perfectly roasted. We loved the ranch dipping sauce. Also definitely recommend. -We had to try the O.G. Chicken sandwich as it appears to be the menu staple. The edges could have used some more sauce, but the middle bites of the sandwich were juicy! Loved the pickles, bacon, ranch, and American cheese flavor combo. -Side of onion rings, was served with honey mustard. Not overly greasy, had great flavor. Service was great, we loved the music but wish we could have heard more commentating from the basketball games. We were frustrated at times with the use of their plastic utensils... we often were fighting with our veggies as they slid off of our forks, but understand how the plastic utensils aligns with their popular food truck. We left feeling VERY full and took some wings to go. There were quite a few parties for a Sunday night, and their take out business seemed steady. Liberty Rock Tavern appears to be a hidden gem of a sports bar in the Milford area. We definitely plan to go back!

"In the clearing stands a boxer And a fighter by his trade…read moreAnd he carries the reminders Of every glove that laid him down" (Paul Simon) Nope. The namesake of the Archie Moore's chain IS NOT the famous boxer, Archie Moore. Instead, this Archie Moore was a restauranteur from 1890's New Haven. Today, there are five Archie Moore's restaurants named after THAT Archie Moore. Now that we cleared that up, let me tell you about the lunch three of us had at the Milford Archie Moore's. Quite simply, we had a blast! We were looking for a place that had a sports bar feel and would be televising the NY Giants-Green Bay Packers game. Well, that wasn't really an issue because most of the TVs at Archie's were broadcasting the game. Our dining room had one outlier of a TV that showed the Buffalo Bills- Tampa Bay Bucs game. I walked in at 12:30 and the dining room was not very crowded, but 45 minutes later every table was taken -a mix of small groups, couples, and families with children. That seems understandable when you take a look at Archie's menu, which is as broad and varied as one could possibly want. A visit to Archie's starts with the chicken wings they are famous for. There are nine flavors in six sizes of "with or without" bone varieties. After that, you'll be challenged to decide among their appetizers, nachos, sandwiches, grilled cheese, wraps, pizzas, burgers, salads, entrees, etc. Seriously, their menu would seem at home in a New Jersey or Long Island diner. We started off with a shared platter of ten boneless Garlic Parmesan wings ($14.99) and I have to say....they were amazing. Big meaty chunks of white meat with a crunchy coating and a delicious parmesan cheese dusted sauce. The three of us went with three burgers.... Well, sort of. My brother had a traditional burger with sweet potato French fries ($18.49), my nephew went with a special of the day- a double Smash Burger with fries ($17.50), and I had a Garden Salad ($10.50) with an added burger patty ($7.99). I have to point out that the burger added to my salad was a monster burger of "over a half pound of ground 100% premium beef". It was outstanding. Drinks were $6.95 for an Athletic NA beer and $5.75 for a Coors Light. Our server was a cheerful and helpful young lady named Sam who did a great job checking on us and filling the water glasses. There were plenty of leftovers at our table, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Archie's. Lunch for three with two beers ran $88.21 after tax and before tip.
