Amazing food!! This is the perfect spot in the summer to sit outside and enjoy the river. The service is always great!

Light and airy decor, excellent service and good food. My wife and I stopped for a light lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the views, service and food. I had the lobster bisque, it was very good with chunks of lobster. My wife had the outstanding new England clam chowder and a Cobb salad. The salad was fresh and big ! The restaurant has outdoor seating, a four season-type room and an indoor space, all with great views of the river. Btw, there's also a dock! I recommend the Housatonic House.

We absolutely loved lunch at this "new" place that is in the old "Stones Throw" building. They've done a fabulous renovation, it's much brighter and modern with extended parking which was a huge issue before. The staff was pleasant right from walking in the door and very attentive and helpful during service. We ordered a dish to take out as well as our lunch and they handled that well. We began with Bang Bang Shrimp which was perfect, 11 large shrimp with the perfect coating and sauce, I could make a meal if that with a side salad! Our mains were Housatonic Burger, modified without red onion plus bacon - perfect cook and juicy and delicious. The Special - Cavatelli with broccoli rabe and sausage was delicious, the sausage was sliced and sautéed, no bitterness in the rabe no oiliness, maybe the best I've ever had! The Arugula salad with goat cheese, caramelized walnuts and mango and grilled chicken was fabulous, just a light toss in vinaigrette finished it off perfectly! With the beautiful view of the river through the huge windows or a choice of outdoor seating with took me back to European outdoor dining, they've really made this a place to be! And yes, we'll be back!!

    Great water front view!

Wow! Amazing! Exceeded my expectations! I had my daughter's Jack & Jill bridal shower here and the staff, the setup, the food, and atmosphere did not disappoint. The owner & staff were extremely accommodating and provided outstanding service! The food was really good too! I highly recommend HH If you need a venue to host a party! Shout out Housatonic House!

How odd they change owners or part owners often. But its still a great place to have a lunch by the Housatonic River, Great summer location.

Sad to see the hummus plate (a vegan option) wasn't on the menu this year - hope it comes back later in the season. Used to love the Caesar wrap as well! Drinks seem a bit overpriced, especially for the size ($14 for a small hard lemonade) - but hoping they're part of happy hour. Look forward to coming back, best outdoor eating in the area!

After 20 minutes of no one bringing menus, I approached her (older bartender) at the bar for help. At first she ignored me, serving other guests, not making eye contact. Finally I said "excuse me", we followed your directions however no server has stopped by. It was obvious they were short staffed. Apx 5 minutes later our server arrived who said she just got there. After 2 pm so odd. Regardless she was apologetic, friendly and took our complete order. We have been here a lot so we know to tell them absolutely everything you will need. I mean order your food, ask for salt/pepper/extra napkins ketchup Tabasco extra plates if sharing an appetizer or you probably won't get it lol. For lunch we order wings with hot honey and a cheesesteak sub with fresh jalapeños and a side salad no fries. What we got was a cheesesteak with pickled jalapeños and cold fries and wings with no sauce . Our server fixed the issues. We finished eating asked for our bill gave our cc and received the receipt with no pen to complete it ‍. Asked the hostess for one and left. Sadly, my stomach has been so upset after eating. Normally service is iffy but food is good. Sadly today, something went terribly wrong. Walking out, they were having bathroom issues. Not their day

That said, it does seem like the owner could benefit from hiring a few additional staff members to better keep up with customer volume. My party waited a noticeable amount of time for food and drinks, even though it wasn't particularly busy compared to times I've seen in the past. The service itself was great, and the staff worked hard despite being stretched thin. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent, and with a little more staffing, the experience would be even better.

I just adjusted the chairs to make sure my guest and kids were comfortable and not annoying the adult customers in bar area etc. She yells "MAY I HELP YOU WITH **MY** FURNITURE". Im not interested in your 1975 chairs but I am INDEED moving a chair so my nephew can sit down. Im thinking Im being HELPFUL so I don't have to bug anyone but instead, she tried to sh*t on me in front of other patrons. After that, our vibe was not vibing and we did not order drinks as we had planned and left. I was really hoping this tanking restaurant would have been a winner as we have a LARGE circle of friends in the town & I we all love giving business to mom and pops hanging by a thread. Too bad.

Woodbury Brewing Company is a craft brewpub that opened in Woodbury, Connecticut in December 2017…read more It was founded by friends and business partners Allan Cetrone, Tim Budrewicz, T.J. D'Alexander and Ken Mair. After he found his previous employer's ethical standards unconscionable, Cetrone decided to quit and find a new line of work. He and his friends frequently got together at a backyard barn man-cave which was complete with a fridge and kegerator. Cetrone had also been experimenting with his own homebrewed beers. Once their man cave became a popular spot for family gatherings, the four friends decided to open their own brewery. The taproom has a rustic saloon aesthetic (a nod to the friends' backyard barn man-cave) complete with a stage for live musical acts to perform. In addition to the housemade beer, WBC also serves wine, cider, craft cocktails, and a large menu of delicious food from their in-house kitchen. I recently visited Woodbury Brewing Company for the first time. I had heard that they host a lot of live music acts and I purchased a ticket to see Hudson Valley-based Rush tribute band "Limelight". I'm a HUGE Rush fan, so I was really excited to see the group perform. I arrived over an hour before the show started. I had a reserved table right by the stage. There was a modest crowd when I first arrived, but the whole taproom was packed by the time the show started. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Nashville Hot GIANT Chicken Sandwich" (hot honey, cajun spice, pickles, mayo) with "Sweet Potato Fries" as well as an order of "Cheese Curds" (served w/ house-made marinara). I was totally shocked when the food finally came to the table. When they say "giant chicken sandwiches", they mean GIANT! I could barely fit the sandwich into my mouth, but it was so delicious! The sweet potato fries were equally big and delicious, and the cheese curds were really good too! Throughout my visit, I enjoyed pours of "Yummy Beers" (Double New England IPA), "Collusion" (New England IPA), and "Barrel-Aged Don't Go Romanov" (Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout). They were all surprisingly good! Limelight also gave an excellent performance to the very energetic crowd. Overall, I had quite an enjoyable evening and I'll definitely be back! I already have a ticket to another show!
