Rib combo plate with pulled pork, cole slaw, potato salad, piping hot beans and a warm bun.

Crazy Larry himself introduced me to his wife and sister; it's a 25-year-old family business. The food is stellar!! Served piping hot and fast, no wait at all. They had a condiment bar with pickles, onions, apricot jam, etc and warm BBQ sauce! I had the rib combo with pulled pork and made a sandwich with the warm bun, coleslaw and pork - perfect! The potato salad had a lot of flavor, not your grandma's wimpy salad. The beans were great but I have a full day ahead of me and didn't want to eat too many...iykyk When I told Larry it was my first time in, he asked how I heard about the joint. "On Yelp!! You have amazing reviews!" He was both happy and humbled, he had no idea. He even gave me a free sticker for my car.

Frito pie- Red plate Ribs, Brisket, Sausage, Potato Salad, Beans- Green plate

I am from Amarillo but moved a few years ago. I make it a priority to always stop at Crazy Larry's to eat before I leave. Great Frito pie!

Crazy Larry's is a gem of a locally run BBQ joint. This was my first time in and it was great. The service was absolutely fantastic. I got to meet Larry himself who was warm friendly and made me feel right at home. I asked what was good and they suggest the chopped brisket (because you know you've got to have brisket in TX). It did not disappoint. I will absolutely be returning. I suggest checking it out when you get a chance.

    Got me a sticker!

Closed June 22-July 8th for vacation. Nothing posted onto their website. We came from out of state for the bbq here what a ridiculous waste.

Driving around Texas eating great BBQ and Tyler's Bbq in Amarillo TX is always on my list…read more Tyler's has the charm that is true Texas BBQ. They welcome people here as if everyone is family. They have a large parking lot. They have indoor and outside sitting areas. So the process here is you go through the line and place your order they start with the proteins first then the sides with bread pickles and onions last. They cut and weigh the meats in front of you so you see what you are getting on your tray. You pay at the end and you get your tray of food after a short wait. Saturday is $16.00 a lb Beef Ribs. No hold on the ribs so get there early as the beef ribs are delicious and worth getting in line early for. We got brisket which was a 10/10. We got the beef ribs some to eat there and 1 to bring home to Houston 10/10. We also got the sausage 11/10 it was spicy as we got jalapeño cheddar and the black peppercorn. We also got PORK BELLY WITH BERRY CHIPOTLE which was 10/10. Everything here was delicious and so memorable. They make their own pickles so make sure you get some of the delicious homemade pickles! We tried the potato salad, coleslaw, jalapeño cream corn and the pinto beans. All the sides were good but the cream corn was the best. I highly recommend you make a trip to Tyler's BBQ.

We also had the moist brisket which was outstanding. Pork belly was a smash hit with the distinctive smoke flavor and just right sweetness. The sleeper surprise was the house-made black peppercorn and jalapeno cheese sausage. The staff and service is so friendly and patient with our order. The first time we went to Tyler's was in 2018 when they hit the Texas Monthly To 50 BBQ list. We were pleasantly surprised on this second visit. Tyler moved locations in 2019 to a much larger location with ample parking and good seating capacity. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the wonderful memorabilia on the walls. Bonus is the restrooms were very clean. The coolest part of the trip was meeting up with Tyler Frazer again. In 2018, my wife and I finished visting all 50 TM BBQ joints at Tyler's. When Tyler learned that he was so gracious to invite me for a pit tour. He commemorated that trip with a TM BBQ pin that featured several other pit masters from that issue that I proudly still have. This trip, we got there around 9:00am as we drove in from a BBQ run in Lubbock and were worried that we may be fighting the Route 66 100 year anniversary crowd that had taken over Amarillo. Luckily, we beat the crowd. Though Tyler's doesn't open until 11am, Tyler opened the gate for me to rest at the picnic area and we talked for 5+ minutes even though he had a lot of prep work to do before opening. Later on, he came to our table and talked with us and told stories for another 15 minutes. That alone made the whole experience unforgettable. Bottom line, Tyler Frazer is the GOAT, a Texas BBQ rockstar in my book. He is the epitome of Texas BBQ hospitality and a pioneering voice of celebrating Texas BBQ and small businesses. We always look forward to his reels on Instagram as he welcomes the day with a weather report thoughts for the day from Amarillo. My hats off to you Tyler! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing next time.

You order food at the register and then sit down, so when you order a dessert, they can put a little note to serve it to you at the end. Speaking of dessert, that pecan cobbler ala mode smacks! The perfect ending to a delicious meal. The meat is so tender and falls off the bone. You don't need a knife to cut anything. A plastic knife will do the job easily. They say the brisket is the star of the show and I can attest to that. However, the turkey is the runner up. I don't know what they do to that Turkey, but my husband and I might have to grab more to take home with us tomorrow. They were so nice too because we ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and they ran out, so we got the last of the ribs. The also doubled all our meats! We wound up getting 1/2 a lb of turkey and 1 lb of brisket! We are going to be eating some good sandwiches for the next few days. We definitely plan on coming back the next time we are in Amarillo. If you're in the area, definitely come in and grab a bite! They also have plenty of choices in beer too.

It's just my favorite food!(after Maine lobster, of course ) She said Wesley's had the best bbq in town. Of course, we had to try it. It was quite a way from our hotel. 9 miles, but well worth it! I had the small rib plate. 3 meaty smokey ribs so tender the meat came right off the bone. With the sweet hickory bbq sauce adding just the right flavor, I was sold. The pinto beans were cooked just right. The cole slaw is the type I like, not over mayonnaised and not too sweet. Crunchy cabbage. There were 7 of us, and everyone cleaned their plate! The bonus was a young singer, Nelson mckinney entertained us with his wonderful voice and guitar playing. This is a don't miss place to eat if you are in Amarillo.
