MUSHY SEAFOOD ALERT GARBAGE I have patronized this restaurant several times and the service is usually good. However, tonight I ordered takeout and my shrimp and broccoli were extremely overcooked. I called to see if I could bring it back, and the waitress said she needed to check with the manager first. After speaking with the manager, she told me I needed to send an email with a photo of the food to "prove" I was telling the truth. I agreed, but then she refused to give me the email address to send the photo. I offered to bring the food back in person, and she refused to allow that as well. Needless to say .... The quality of the seafood has gone down drastically since I started coming here years ago. I have pictures of beautiful, delicious looking seafood from past experiences. But recently they have become so inconsistent and uncaring about the quality of the food that they give. My potatoes and corn were mushy, my crabs were blackish looking and very small. And while I use to get at least 8-10 crawfish in my boil I recently got 4. The manager was unconcerned with my complaints and walked away stating that the food was fine. Although she did bring me a few more crawfish, I can clearly tell she was complaining about me to another staff member. The food is too expensive to not get what I paid for. It's my second time at Juicy Seafood. It was tasty...The first time (2/26/21) I ordered the "Get Your Hands Dirty" clams and white rice. I liked that they were very seasoned. I asked for "not spicy" and received a mildly spiced order. I noticed that I received more clam shells than the actual clam fillings -- the order is 1 lb. I wonder if the added corn and potatoes make up the lbs. difference? I also ordered crab cakes -- not my favorite thing on the menu. It came with a sweet sauce on top. Today (3/5/21) I ordered take-out again because my family and I wanted to try other things on their menu. I ordered 1 lbs. of "Get Your Hands Ready" shrimp with buttery garlic seasoning, a side of corn, a side of potatoes, and a side of broccoli, a fried shrimp basket, and a "create your own combo -- 1/2 lb of headless shrimp and 1/2 lb of snow crab. The additional sides I ordered were 3 potatoes, 3 corns (about 1/2 the size of a regular cob) and 12 broccoli (the get your hands dirty & the combo also come with potatoes and corn). All of the orders today had a garlic butter flavor - which was tasty and the spices weren't too overpowering. The fried shrimp was a little too well done. The shrimp basket came with fries -- they tasted fresh and crispy. The 1/2 lb of snow crab only had 1 claw - again, I'm wondering if it's all weighed with the corn and potatoes. I had to try this place two times... just to make sure. The prices seem decent considering it's a seafood place, but the portions seem to vary. The hostess or waitress at the register seems like a young lady/late teens. She's friendly, but not as attentive. When I called in the order it was hard to speak a little bit -- Peter took my order over the phone. He was super helpful and friendly, I just had a hard time placing my order because I kept getting interrupted mid sentence by Peter; then I also had to keep repeating myself to make sure my order was being submitted correctly. As I was walking in, I did notice that they had items they were probably specials and not listed in the menu -- salads and po boys. Overall, I'd order from Juicy Seafood again if I'm craving seafood for takeout ... but will definitely order online for accuracy and for a speedy order. read more

Upon entering the restaurant, I first noticed all of the disclaimers and warnings to the customer. It is a shame that a business must post these type of notices due to bad customers. This is my preferred seafood boil place. I love the variety of side options and being able to have broccoli instead of corn and potatoes is great to be able to reduce carbs. After eating, they had have hand wash stations, so there's no need to go to the bathroom to clean up. read more

The crawfish was 1000% spoiled. 3 of us got crawfish and couldn't eat them at all. However, I didn't enjoy my food, and I was not interested in ordering any alternates from the menu. The juicy sauce was thick like gravy, and it was spicy. It tasted like the store bought Zataran's crab boil. Nothing tasted authentic! Plus, the shrimp were small, already peeled, and tasted pre-cooked. The corn was tough, and the potatoes were hard. I paid for my meal because the restaurant needed more business. Back again! 2nd visit and the oysters did not disappoint. They were fresh, big, and delicious. The only thing about this restaurant is the staff bringing out the entree before the appetizer. This is so weird to me. The server was Madi today. I specifically asked to please bring the oysters out as an appetizer. Yet my entree came out before the oysters which meant my food had to go sit under the heat lamp which made the corn mushy. They lose a star from me for this. This is not a complaint against the sever by any means. Just weird twice in a row with different servers this happened. When I told her I didn't want the drink her response was, there's no refund or exchange. She told our waiter to bring us our ticket when he had just bought out our food. Alright I'm not sure if it's just me being hungry or their food was pretty good. Lol. The place itself is very clean, great customer service, and food was pretty good! We ordered the fried catfish plate, crawfish boil, and fried shrimp plate. I also ordered a cocktail that was pretty good I just forgot the name of it lol but it was pretty heavy on the alcohol which I very much appreciated. Lol. The crawfish was pretty good, though they were small pieces they were not too bad, the all of the above sauce mild was a little bland but still good (I'm from California, and we have quite a lot of seafood boil options here and I'm pretty picky when it comes to the flavor so yeah.) catfish was okay, I've had better. Great food, the prices are reasonable, service is excellent and and the atmosphere is so relaxing for a great outing.

We tried this place on a whim - and boy am I glad we did! We shared a Combo Special D (garlic butter and cajun seasoning, spice level medium) and an order of hushpuppies. The crab and shrimp were cooked perfectly and we loved the seasoning/spice choices we made. The dining room was clean and very comfortable. Service was fast and very friendly. I only have two minor issues - the hushpuppies were delicious, but a bit small for the price we paid. I expected them to be larger at 10/$4.50. The other thing is that they have "bottled beer, spirits and wine" on the menu, but only have hard seltzers and beer. I am hoping that is COVID related and that they will have a larger selection soon. a glass of wine would have been perfect with the food.
