    Crawfish, J3, Olive Branch.
    James L.

Came here for one simple reason.....Crawfish!!!! Visiting from out of town, a good crawfish boil is always appreciated! J3 is pretty hidden away in Olive Branch, but having a local with me meant I was able to enjoy this restaurant, which I may not have found otherwise. There's multiple options when ordering your boil as you can select the type of seasoning, the level of heat and additional ingredients such as corn, potato, sausage and the like. I added some corn and potatoes which went perfectly with my crawfish; the flavor and spice was absolutely perfect and I finished the entire 3lbs easily! Staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Highly satisfied!!!

Now after leaving New Orleans my wife wanted crab legs and she really enjoyed them. Me and the kid had fried chicken, shrimp and fish and we both left full. Really busy place too for a Sunday...

Tried this restaurant today after reading my friends review. Learned I shouldn't get anything fried probably. Boiled bags sounded good. It's hard to find good seafood not being close to the sea shore. All in all it was a nice boiled bag of seafood with plenty of food, just wasn't my style you could say. Very very messy, I know most seafood is hands on. Crab was delicious, sausage, corn, and potatoes were good as well. The grainy seasoning wasn't as appetizing as well as the shrimp in Lemon pepper. Thought it'd be good but wasn't my cup of tea. I'm sure those who are up for the mess and hassle of seafood will get their fill.

Don't do it! It looks way better than it tastes!

Still wondering where the rave reviews came from because hubby and I found nothing to rave about at this place. While it wasn't our first choice, it seemed to be half way in between our place and half way for meeting up with one of hubby's friends for a quick dinner. Location: Do not do what we did and drive right past it and then get to the other end of the plaza and still wonder where it is. Google maps shows it's located next to the Irish pub. It is NOT. If you're coming off Goodman Road, drive toward the shopping center but, whoa Betsy, it's on the FAR LEFT end, near the end of the parking lot. I don't recall what was next door but it doesn't matter because I'm not planning on going back. Service: It wasn't busy at all for a week night and only 2 other tables were filled. I felt our service was almost "rushed" never were asked if we wanted anything else. We were just brought a check. I mean no, no thank you, we really didn't want anything else! Food: If it wasn't for Adam H's "platter report" I for sure would have ordered it... Because looks can be deceiving! Don't let that picture on there fool you! Trust me. He was so right because Hubby didn't listen and ordered the fried catfish platter (6pcs) and fries $15.99 Wholly...yikes! I did not like the breading or the way it was cooked. Maybe I have no clue about it but he knows catfish and said the same thing and only ate one piece and most of the fries. I took Adam's advice and went with the shrimp bag (12-15 PCs) for $15.99 it came with 1-potato, 1-sausage, and 1-corn. There's a variety of sauces and heat levels. I went J3/Medium. Which was not spicy/hot at all. I did let hubby mooch off my food because after I tried his fish, I still felt bad for him... Even though he didn't listen to me! Lol! Drink: Apparently I took the last Yuengling in the house. Thankfully, I only wanted one beer. Sorry for our friend who was stuck drinking their "light" version. Keeping his girly figure! Price: For 2 platters, 3 beers and no appetizers the check came to $42... But in reality those fries were nearly $15 when the fish is nasty! Overall: I'd skip past this this place!

I was staying at the Holiday Inn on Marathon Way and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the Red Maine bag with J3 special sauce/ medium online and had it delivered to the hotel. They use City-Spree for delivery. I really enjoyed the flavor, although the medium was not hot at all. I will most definitely try this place again next time I'm in town. The boom-boom sauce has a nice kick to it..give it a try. Fyi.. I mixed the boom boom sauce with the butter

Awesome new addition for the Southaven area for seafood. This is the same JJs that was near Hacks Crossing Rd in Memphis. I like this location alot better since its smaller and cozier. The food is pretty much just as good as the previous location. We come here for the crawfish of course and the J3's seasoning is on point with the owners special sauce. We usually have the J3 + Hot which is very flavorful and has a bit of a heat to it. I got the J3 Cajun Seafood bag which consisted of lobster, snow crab, king crab, and shrimp, It comes with corn, potato and sausage as well. Everything was seasoned just right. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was on top of everything. He changed out our trays we had for our shells like 3 times so it wouldn't overflow. I was very pleased with the service. Come and try J3 for yourself. If you love seafood and crawfish you won't be disappointed as they are the best seafood restaurant in MS!

The food is always cooked fresh. The only issue is the boiled seafood bags can be a bit salty. Everything else is good.

This place is gross. They have a roach problem. And it's all frozen sea food. I would not recommend any person to eat here.

This is…read morenot fine dining although it appeared to be, this is my opinion based on restaurant and travel experiences. Our waiter, Max, Mac (???) was 18 and therefore could not help with any adult beverage recommendations. Ordered the Butchers Bacon Rack (similar to Porch &Parlor but NOT), when asked, he could not tell us the difference in flavors, not a good experience to even know which we liked or did not. Perhaps this is a learning opportunity/retraining for the restaurant. He was not knowledgeable of the many things. It offers 1st job or owner's son type of job. The entree's were basic at best, the 20% gratuity for the service received did not align and restaurants do that on purpose. There isn't an incentive for waitstaff to offer above and beyond experiences. I had the Crab Stuffed Shrimp, I cannot recall anything memorable (see photo). One of the guest had Fried Green Tomatoes, those were yummy and the Calamari was tasty. The saxophonist was AMAZING, he brings a great background atmosphere unexpected than the food. Listening to him along with appetizers would have been enough for us!! That said, visit at your own risk. For me and my guests we will not be returning.

He helped with the menu, but I knew once I saw "Halibut" I was sold and oh my gosh, I am so glad I got it! The best halibut I've had in a long time. The lamb chops my husband got were so delicious. That blueberry balsamic drizzle, just topped it off. The kids menu is typical, but I'm glad they offered it. The place reminds me of a Long Horn Steakhouse. So was the price worth it all... possibly. I love when restaurants give you a great experience with great food to match. This is definitely a nice date night experience. Not a typical family dinner night.
