After ordering from Crazy Tomato at least a half dozen times total, I'm going for the full Monty. The pizza here is really, really good. Maybe it's not "true" New York, Chicago, or anywhere pizza, but it's seriously good. I love the "South of the Border" pizza, and their pepperoni rolls are just divine. The only thing that has been uneven is chicken wings; sometimes the skin is a little "flabby", as if they weren't cooked at a high enough temperature or something. They've been fine on the inside, though; no chicken tartare or anything like that. :) To top it off, their prices are reasonable, and they'll let you use up to two coupons per order. read more

Can't find a better spot for calzones. From the average pepperoni and buffalo chicken to the creative California with walnuts (it totally works) you cannot go wrong. My favorite is the Florentine. Also they are massive so consider splitting them or saving for later. read more

Visited this place last month with my little one and a friend thinking it was a sit down restaurant! Although it was lunch time and they were busy with phone calls, the staff was quiet pleasant and friendly, plus service was fast. They gave us a free soda bottle with our order! We then decided to head to a nearby park. Found out that the pizza I ordered had pepperoni (We are vegetarians and I messed up by ordering Margarita Pizza instead of Mediterranean!). Staff was patient when I called and said they will keep a new one ready to be picked up at NO extra charge. Food was great and a LOT. We had enough leftover for another meal. This is the best pizza I've had in some time! Excellent customer service, very pleasant people that answer the phone. I have picky eaters at home and they ate it all up. First time! We placed an order to go and ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo and baked spaghetti x 2. The food was delicious and they give a ton of food. Someone Tell Me Please. Exactly how have I lived around the corner from this place for nearly two years and never knew it was there? Based on Elizabeth & Brian's reviews, I decided to try Crazy Tomato tonight. I put on some clothes (yes, it was 930 and I had been in my pajamas for 4 hours) and went to the location because I I heard they weren't delivering any more. I walked in and was greated by a very nice guy, who might have been the owner? I said I wanted something besides my typical pizza order (hamburger, black olive, green olive & mushroom - thin crust - no sauce) and he suggested the Mediterranean Pizza. It was Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Black Olives, Green Olives, Onions, Feta, Parmesan, Romano and Mozzarella Cheese. The # 1 reason I am giving this pizza 5 stars is because I messed up. I forgot to tell him thin crust. I forgot to tell him "light on the sauce." I was slightly disappointed when I got home and realized my mistake. But I said what the heck and took a bite. Seriously? That entire pizza is now gone. Crust and everything. I don't even like crust. I also ordered a Personal Size Chocolate Dessert Pizza - Oven baked bread topped with chocolate filling, chocolate syrup and icing. I have only had one slice of the dessert because I am too full after eating an entire small Mediterranean Pizza. I don't know what came over me, except the wave my taste buds were doing over this delicious pizza. I'm so disappointed. I don't have any pizza leftover to eat for breakfast, cold, with a Dr. Pepper. :-( And oh yeah, I asked.... THEY DO STILL DELIVER, at least to my part of Allen. It's bachelor party time and what else would you eat at a bachelor party, but pizza?! So we get on the internet and look for something close by: Crazy Tomato. I jump on Yelp, since I'm the elitist of us all and see that it has a 4.5 star rating. That's practically a "can't lose" place. Seriously, there are a TON of 5 star ratings and very few others. We were all hungry and wanted to just go in and scarf pizza, but Crazy Tomato is take out or delivery only. Booo. So we're listening to our friend, Andy, on the phone with Crazy Tomato. Of course we can only hear his side of the conversation, it goes something like this: Hi, can we order some pies? I would like to order some pies. Pizza pies. Do you have any specials for pies? Do you have any pup pies? (Just kidding, he didn't say this line) Okay, we'd like two large pies. Half pepperoni, half sausage and a sausage and mushroom. Will that be enough for 5 guys? Let's get some cheesy bread. We shouldn't get the cheesy bread? This whole conversation went on for what seemed like forever. Somehow we settled on 3 pizzas, 20 wings (they ran out of hot wings, so we had to get barbecue) and cheesy bread. Apparently, the guy on the line was trying to talk us out of the cheesy bread because he thought it was too much and he wanted us to order there again. The doorbell rings and the delivery guy has arrived. He's a nice kid, talkative, but not too talkative. I ask him, "Okay, how does this pizza compare to other places?" Andy says, "I'm from New York!" He replies with, "For Texas, this is really good pizza!" Alright, I'm psyched. So we're going to feast like kings tonight. Kings of Italy. We spread out our food, Jordan prays for it and we start scarfing like we're Adolescent Deformed Samurai Tortoises. Our first impression: the pizza looked a little over baked. The crust was darker than you'd expect, but it wasn't burnt, it was just dark. No biggie, just a perception problem here. Second off, I'm disappointed that we had to get barbecue wings. I'm not big fan of barbecue flavoring. Thirdly, Andy spilled a good splash of sierra mist on the cheesy bread. So the pizza. It's pretty ordinary. One of the reviews said Gatti's pizza is better than Crazy Tomato pizza. That's just crazy talk. I'll agree that this wasn't the best pizza I've ever had and it's also not the worst. It was rather unremarkable. It sated me and the other guys said about the same. When we opened one of the pizzas, there was a piece of foil on the pizza. Kind of a mistake that shouldn't have gotten passed QC, but it did. Thumbs down. The wings. As I said before, I'm not a fan of barbecue flavoring, however, these wings were particularly good. The wing itself was big and it was cooked to a good tenderness. The meat was not dry and neither was the skin and there was enough barbecue sauce without overpowering or having so much that it was dripping off. You know, when you get those wings that are so dry, you could remove a plantar wart? These were nothing like those. The cheesy bread was also passable. It lacked any flavor and the marinara that came with it was equally plain. I did use the garlic dipping sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it as it provided some semblance of taste to the otherwise average pizza experience. Conclusions: Pizza - Average Delivery - Above average Cost - Above average, but one special was 2 large pizzas, cheesy bread and 1.5 liter of coke for $22. Pizza taste - Below average Wing size and taste - Excellent! Quality Control - Slightly below average Garlic Dipping Sauce - Above average Craziness - Below average Full experience - Just a little below average. read more

Hands down my new favorite pizza place in North Texas!!! I live in McKinney so unfortunately I'm outside of their delivery zone, but I will always make the drive to come pick up my order. This place is well worth the drive. The place is a small family run joint. There are no tables at all, just a counter where you can order and some chairs to sit and wait. When I arrived to pick up my order, Tony the owner greeted me right away. Tony is a kind and amazing gentlemen who loves what he does and you can tell by the quality of the food. My order consisted of a x-large half south of the border other half meat crazy, an order of Parmesan garlic bread sticks, Italian cheesy bread and two 16 oz sodas. Since it was my first time ordering Tony gave me a 2 liter Pepsi on the house. The pizza was extremely tasty and full of flavor. Overall I was very impressed with the quality and taste of the food the outstanding friendly service. Crazy Tomato will be getting my business from here on out. read more

The first time I ordered food from here, I thought I was being overcharged. We ordered a medium pizza and 2 calzones, thinking we'd probably have some leftovers, but we wanted to try multiple things. Calzones were like $8 each?? We were NOT overcharged. Their calzones are enough to STUFF 2 people. They are huge. They also have really good flavor combinations. Highly recommended! We've gotten food twice more since then (we order less now) and haven't yet been disappointed. EDIT: Somone told me they no longer deliver but he was new and didn't know! Also, my boyfriend and I get them ALL the time now. Their Mediterranean pizza is our favorite!! The feta is SO good. I was looking for a good pizza spot - not your everyday Domino's or Pizza Hut and found Crazy Tomato on Yelp. After reading several reviews I decided to make the short 20 minute drive from McKinney to Allen to give it a try. When I called in my order I spoke with the owner Tony...great guy! He was extremely accommodating in helping me to select a pizza that my fiance would like. Very customer service oriented - felt like the family owned neighborhood pizzerias from back home in New York. The pizza was very tasty. I ordered the Santa Fe specialty pizza which was very good - but I'm really the type of person who likes a lot of "stuff" on my pizza so next time I'm going to try the Combo (supreme) and my fiance wants to try the Chicken BBQ Bacon pizza. The most impressive part of the pizza is the crust - not too thin not too thick - perfect texture. I recommend trying Crazy Tomato...but just remember it's a delivery/takeout spot.
