My couch took 4 months to arrive after many frustrating attempts to reach the company for updates. Turns out the company was in the process of selling to a new owner, Steve, and perhaps other issues like being under staffed. It seems the company was running well before summer, as my sister purchased a couch and was pretty happy with the process. Steve reached out to me even before Oct 1 when he took over as the new owner. Steve was wonderful to work with and I felt taken care of with his multiple weekly updates. No pressure, lots of support and guidance, and very good overall customer service. After I purchased the couch they were responsive to all my inquiries on delivery timelines and the couch came sooner than expected. (This review is a little overdue; I got my sofa during the summer.) I wanted to get a sofa for my in-home office, but a loveseat was going to be too small, and a regular sofa was going to be too large. I didn't want a futon, either. So I wound up going the custom route. I had driven past Cre8ACouch many times, so I decided to stop in. I was very impressed with the quality of the furniture that they had on display. The sofas and chairs were well-made, and the staff explained that they could do anything that I wanted. Of course, that was a bit overwhelming at first -- it took a few weeks for me to figure out exactly what I wanted. But once I did, the process to get it made was fast and easy. Because my home office is upstairs, and the doorway to the upstairs is not standard, I had Patrick, the owner, come to my house to take some measurements. He was able to tell me how long the sofa's legs should be, and other considerations, so that I could be assured that the sofa would be able to fit through the door and up the stairs (a very important point!!) My sofa came 3 weeks after I ordered it. I love, love, love it! It is absolutely perfect and I enjoy it very much. In a couple of years, I plan on getting two sectionals made for other parts of my house. When it's time for that, I will definitely go back to Cre8ACouch. Their prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the furniture is very good. You really can get exactly what you want, in terms of fabric, stuffing, details, firmness, etc. I had a great experience with this company, and I don't hesitate to recommend them highly! read more

Well we went to this place to try and choose a couch to order. At first Patrick was very nice and accommodating and even offered to order in a special swatch of leather for us to look at because we really liked one of the couches that was on their floor but they didn't have this type of leather there. He told us it would take about 10 days to get the swatch in. After about two weeks I called and he told me it should be in the following week. I then called him back a few days later and asked him to confirm that, and see if he could call the factory to just make sure that it was on the way. A few days went by and I never got a response. A few days later I tried calling two or three more times and left messages and still never got a return call. The following weekend my husband called and spoke to David and he was going to figure out what was going on and expedite getting the swatch and give us a call back. We never got a call back. Another week went by and I have left several messages for one of them to call us back. Still no calls. I finally got through to David on the phone a few days ago and he was going to call me right back after he talked to Patrick and let me know what was going on. Well now it's three days later and I still have not got a phone call. So while reading the other reviews here about how great this place is, all I can say is the customer service has been absolutely horrible. No reply no updates no nothing. I guess we are going to have to buy our couch from the Burlingame location at this point. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

Got a custom couch and loveseat about 6 months ago. - Email and in store service is great, up until you've paid in full. After that, it takes a while to get a response. Our delivery was a month late (totally understandable given covid) but we had to call to follow up. - Couch had missing floor protector and the bottom flap was missing a staple. Protector was replaced, and someone said they'd come "saturday morning" to fix the flap, but never showed. Not big deal, but let us know you're not coming, we were waiting. - Went with a custom design b/c we wanted the back higher than what we could find. On delivery, it was off by almost an inch but was told the measurements are by hand and within margin of error. They did take the back cushions to try to stuff them more to make them higher, but when we said that didn't work, there was no follow up. After many unreturned emails/phone calls over several months, we finally got an answer that there was nothing to be done. - We then asked for upholster recommendations, or possibly even replacing the back cushions. Got one recommendation, but have yet to hear about about redoing the back cushions (which we understand would be additional cost). Tired of calling and emailing for update. read more

Patrick was my contact person and I felt he went over and above to help me make a decision of style, and the choice of cushion material (they have different firmness choices). Both couches we have had for over 6 years and they don't show any wear (and they have lived through 2 young kids). Their pricing can't be beat, the customer service is warm and they are accurate in their delivery times and price. Bonus! Support small business. You can get a replica of any "name brand" couch through them with the same quality, but lower Price. Also, my family has bought many custom couches and chairs. My aunt has an amazing leather couch (7years old) and many dogs later still looks new! 5 Stars! You won't be disappointed! read more

We needed an affordable mobile couch because it's in a garage studio and needs to be moved around. I asked Patrick, the owner, if it would be possible to use casters instead of traditional sofa legs and he assured me that it would be. He offered to source the casters but I found them on my own, gave them to him, and he had the couch built accordingly. It's perfect! I've never been a recliner person but we needed one for a particular room and I couldn't be happier with our Omnia recliner. It's not a huge chair and the line was selected by Patrick because he knows many people are looking for a more modern, less bulky recliner. From start to finish--customer service, product selection and customization, price, awesome delivery crew--I give Cre8ACouch 5 stars. I had very specific needs for this room and didn't have to settle because I was able to customize everything. One note: The San Carlos store is very basic and not high on decor. I'm a repeat customer having first purchased a sectional back in 2011 when the store operated under the name Homeplate Furnishings. Patrick, owner, is a busy man so there might be some back and forth calls or emails to get a job done. Don't let this discourage you from getting an excellent custom couch solution for any space configuration. We had a problem with our original fabric selection and Patrick noted this was not unique to our situation but related to the fabric itself (which they have since discontinued). This summer he quickly came up with a solution that solved all of our problems at no cost to us. I love our couch and was so disapointed at the thought of having to start over with a new purchase. He worked with us shortly after our purchase to repair splitting seams. Several years later when normal wear and tear resulted in splitting seams again, he recognized this was just not right.
