I've suffered from chronic back pain for nearly two decades and have gone through three mattresses in that time--none of which worked out. So this time around, I was determined to make the right choice. When I first called Mancini's, Troy was the one who picked up--and I'm so glad he did. From that first conversation, I could tell he genuinely cared about helping me find the best mattress for my needs. He encouraged me to come in and test different models, and when I did, he spent hours walking me through options, asking thoughtful questions, and--most importantly--listening. The first mattress he recommended was the Aireloom Riviera Firm. At first, I thought it might be a little too soft, so I kept looking. I narrowed it down to two others--a Beautyrest Black and a Stearns & Foster. I even brought my wife in to help make the decision. But after nearly three hours in the store, I found myself thinking about that very first bed Troy had suggested. I ended up going back to the Aireloom because I trusted Troy. Really want to like this place. Troy was the best guy who work there and he helped us to purchase the mattress and everything was great and smooth. Deliver on time and everything was perfect! However after one week of sleep in with the mattress and it does not work for my back so we decide to do the exchange and that's when everything starts to fall apart. We went in another day and looking for Troy and the guy name Alex told us Troy is no longer working in that location and he is the only one who can help us. We told him what we want and this guy just the opposite of Troy. Bad attitude. Switch and bait. We call another location and we did the exchange there. On the second delivery date. They suppose to take the old mattress and deliver the new mattress to us but instead. They pick up the old mattress without giving us the new one we purchase. I called the store and the salesperson told me "someone" changed the delivery date. So we had no mattress to sleep in that night and had to sleep on the couch. My suggestion is go to their show room and try out the mattress you like and go online and purchase your mattress. You don't want to deal with this guys unless you get Troy! read more

I visited the Burlingame store a few days ago and was helped by Erica. She was helpful and showed me mattresses of all levels of firmness and costs. Then she mentioned the foundation part of the bed and gave me some ideas of how I can have a foundation setup to fit inside my existing bed frame without a box spring, I thought that was great - more sales for them and a compatible bed set for me. She relayed my question to a male coworker about having a foundation placed inside my existing bed frame to see if that would fit. The other male employee lounging back in a his lounge chair said, "Real people don't do that." I replied, I'm not "real people." I guess I was too difficult for him to work with so I left. I put a (cancellable) deposit down on a gorgeous Kluft Regalia mattress for delivery in 6 months so that I could reserve the price. Then I realized my lower back pain when I woke up the next morning on my old Sleep Number. So I called the store back and had it delivered within the week. And negotiated a little discount since I was not expecting this expense this month :) Alex helped us out, and he had just the right amount of contact, occasionally even leaving us alone *gasp* Haha! I can't stand pushy salespeople, and they did great here. They also have Aireloom, Sterns and Foster, Tempurpedic, Avocado, and many other brands. And the adjustable bases are SUPER affordable.
