Love the office and the staff. We love how straight forward Dr. Doucet was about our baby boy…read more We're needing a TPLO procedure and he was very informative and explained it so well to us where we could understand. I love how he is also the doctor performing the surgery. Sometimes, vet offices refer clients to another place for surgeries and there's nothing wrong with that at all, but it is very convenient when the veterinarian that is explaining the recommendations is also the doctor performing everything because it's less appointments and consultations and less imaging. We have been going to a wonderful veterinarian but their referral office is very expensive. We feel that Alvin Friendswood Veterinary Center offers very fair pricing. It was easy to feel at home here with everyone being so personable and welcoming. Our experience so far has been completely positive and we're incredibly optimistic in our baby's recovery! Thank you all so much! Dr. Doucet, thank you for offering such a positive experience and welcoming atmosphere at your office during a stressful time while we explore options in treatment for Bane's injured leg. We truly are grateful! Thank you to the receptionist/office manager for being so pleasant and informative. The chemistry here between staff and doctor is amazing and it is noticed. It's always refreshing to walk into a positive environment. Having a doctor we feel we can trust is so important to us and that was what we felt during our appointment. Thank you!

Took me a while to finally write a review after I made the difficult decision to put my sweet Bella down. This clinic made this difficult day so peaceful for me and my girl. Throughout the entire process the doc and his assistant were very patient and empathetic. This clinic has always been thorough with the information they have provided, professional, and just wonderful to work with. If you live in the area I would highly recommend taking your pets here. Thank you, guys, for taking care of my sweet girl all the way to the end and for taking care of my Poppi through his tracheal collapse stages and his dental surgery and Tony through his dental surgery and Kiki through her ear issues. Just thank you for everything!!!

I have been taking my 40lb goldendoodle to Pearland barkway for grooming since 2021. They are now…read moreunder new management and they have decided to make some changes. Upon making my appointment I was not made aware of the new adjustments in price and charging an extra % to use credit. If I was aware I could have brought my debit card with me but I never use it so I don't carry it. Aside from that I picked up my sweet pup with a hefty price tag of $177.00! That is a bit more than a "small adjustment" to their rates! I absolutely will not be going back.

I want to start off by saying, I would still recommend Pearland Barkway and am still going to…read morecontinue grooming with them. We have taken are puppy to Pearland Barkway since his first cut and have gone quite a few times since. The front desk employees are always great and detailed, and today was no different. The reason I am leaving this review is just provide feedback about my experience and how I left feeling. When dropping off Lio, my boyfriend and I are super specific about how we cut his hair, because he's a poodle a mix and the cut usually defines that. When I was asked about the cut for today, I asked if we can just do the same as last time. The woman up front even went to find the sheet from a filing cabinet and called the groomer to the front to discuss it with me. She asked if I wanted a "4" all around and I said if that's what he got last time then yes. She copied a few notes from his last sheet to today's sheet. When I picked him up, I was very surprised and didn't even recognize Lio to be honest. I didn't say anything other greet him and give him some love, up until I asked if everything looked good. I said it was muncher shorter than what I expected and again she was kind enough to bring out the sheets and call the groomer out. I showed a video of what Lio looked like when he got his haircut a month ago to the groomer. She said this is what a "4" all around is and I replied I don't know all the terminology about grooming but this is not what he looked like last time. A second receptionist pointed out that his last sheet had notes on there that indicated to keep his hair long in a particular style that obviously were not taken into consideration. I told them, well his hair is gone and I asked well what can I ask for next time so that we can get what we wanted. They pulled out the sheet and made notes with me to ensure next cut would be better. Throughout this conversation, they weren't at all rude but I felt like the groomer realized she had made a mistake. She didn't apologize but said the last sheet had a lot of notes and made it confusing. I also felt it was odd to charge a customer before seeing how the grooming went. I wasn't expecting anything but offering some sort of refund or discount on my next cut seemed fitting due to how much hair they cut off of my puppy. I know in the future to provide photos and be EXTREMELY descriptive. I'm also going to request a different groomer next time we come in. I went ahead and uploaded two photos. One is from a month ago from his last cut and today's; I'm sure you'll see the difference.
