There's a help-yourself fixing' station next to the burgers with sliced onions, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. I shied away from the fries because they looked old. I grabbed a bag of BBQ chips and a bottled Dr. Pepper with a glass of ice. As a heads-up, they do NOT take cash just credit/debit cards. Everyone was friendly and the area was clean,,, as you might expect from a hospital setting. Surprisingly, the total only came to a little over $7.

A large cup was $3. Just don't get too attached to any of the food items because they change every day. Service isn't bad as long as the lines aren't too long. Plenty of places to sit and eat. You can also take it back to your room, wherever that is, if needed. I spent some time in the ICU and the waiting room there was nice and spacious on the sixth floor. I also enjoy going to Wright's Gourmet which is a little further down the hall depending on where you are coming from. The sandwiches can be big enough to split. The prices are fairly reasonable and the food is decent enough. This menu stays pretty consistent.

For lunch there's a bigger selection: a sandwich counter, a burger/hotdog counter and a general meal-of-the-day counter. I've had the hot dogs and they were pretty good: big and beefy. Today I had a pulled pork Sammich and it was actually really good. In fact, the fries were great too: crinkle cut and hot. Service has been fine. Prices are pretty good: cheaper than fast food. Dining room is small, but pretty clean and quiet. They have TVs but they're not turned on. If you have to come here for medical appointment the Patriot Cafe is a fine place to eat at. Not as exciting as a real restaurant but food and value are satisfactory.
