Color me surprised....as I'm not a Panera regular. Truthfully, I've always figured they were a bit pricey and I can find similar if not better tastes for better value elsewhere. So, when a dear friend invited me to try the one in Zephyrhills I was willing to taste the experience. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl salad. I was assuming it was a Greek-like salad or similar. You can add chicken, but I did not. What I got was a very pleasant surprise, indeed. It was a salad, but very very different. Not your usual 'you can get anywhere' salad, either. My salad consisted of Cilantro lime brown rice and quinoa, arugula, grape tomatoes, Kalamata olives, cucumbers, hummus, lemon tahini dressing, feta and Greek yogurt. All these ingredients blended into a wonderfully flavorful and savory mouth-watering meal. I was intrigued at the complexities of taste notes and how they interacted with each other. The aroma and taste were on point! I'm now willing to head back to Panera Bread to see if there's anything ELSE I've been missing?? Yum. read more

Had the Mac and cheese and it never fails. Got one adult portion and one kids meal. The kids meal comes with a yogurt tube. Asked for a a small piece of bread for the kids meals and the person removed the yogurt? Seriously? That 25 cent piece of bread for a kids meal hurt so much the cost you had to take the yogurt lol I asked the surprised lady how much was the bread and she said no charge. Stopped by for lunch today, i ordered chicken and wild rice soup, mac and cheese, my husband ordered a breadbowl with broccoli cheese soup and two cokes. The cashier had a really rough time taking the order and a even harder job entering the gift card number even when I read it to her. She finally got the manager after the 4th attempt. Manager entered it, went right through. We got our drink cups and proceeded to the soft-drink dispenser, they were out of ice, I informed the girl behind the counter and she said, that is not my department and went on about her job. The buzzer went off for our food and I went up to get it, and asked again about ice, no response. Manager finally brought ice. The chicken wild rice soup contained a minute amount of chicken and a minute amount of rice, the broth had no flavor at all, tasted like luke warm water with lots of carrots. It could be renamed boiled carrot soup. The mac and cheese was good and the broccoli cheddar soup was good, but luke warm. Our bill was 34.00 for mediocre food and service. My 80 year old mom spent a long exhausting day at the hospital. She hadn't eaten in over 24 hours and all she wanted was Panera's wild rice soup. They were out of 3 soups but had this one, or so they said. I made a special trip, got home with my mom and the soup and it's the wrong soup. I don't think that was a mistake considering I asked specifically and when handed the bag the clerk said "it's all there". My order is wrong at least half the time at this specific location. I called to ask a manager if my mom could get a credit. Tried twice. It rings and rings with no answer. The bottom of their receipt says "Accuracy matters. Taking minimal covid protections. Ordered food, got a text that it was ready. They got rid of curbside pickup, so had to go in to get it. Surprise, 15 minutes after the text, the food is still not ready. The whole idea of ordering was so we would NOT have to be in a restaurant where people are sitting without masks and the effin cashier is not even wearing a mask. I have gone to this location a few times and mostly through the drive thru. They are always fast and order is always correct. For some reason though, their soup is like 10x hotter than other Panera breads and it takes a long wait before can eat it. I know soup should be hot but be careful cause theirs is always over the top. The sandwiches are delicious and always taste fresh. I'm not fond of their salad and the pick two I think has gotten ridiculous. I know this isn't location specific because it's at every Panera but why am I pay $4.00 for half a grilled cheese? It's just insane and my soup is $4.00 as well yet just a very small bowl. I wish Panera would get combos with the items and make it more affordable as I might eat there more often if so. The portions are just so so so small for the price you're paying. It tastes so good tho! read more

Yes, overall the prices are too high, but the food is great, the restaurant is clean, & the ambiance is very nice. This particular restaurant has four separated dining rooms, along w/ the it w/ the delicious squash soup (sweet & low sodium). It's excellent here & at all sister locations! The $5 soup plus 1/2 sandwich specials are the best value. (The chicken & apple sandwich on wheat was superb-- see pic.) Although I didn't take advantage of it, adding a pastry/dessert to your meal for .99 is a good deal. The drink section w/ all its iced tea flavors is a nice addition-- the unsweetened black tea was superb. (See pic.) The drive thru is temporarily unavailable. It's nice to find a clean restaurant where there's a good selection of healthier foods & high quality ingredients. I'll definitely return for the five soup choices-- especially as winter approaches. If you don't mind paying more, this is a great place for a quick, simple meal. read more

The restaurant has a drive through which is great and the inside has plenty of room. The service how ever was awful. They are very slow and unfriendly as far as my experience with other paneras. I will chalk it up to new store needing to work out the kinks with staff but it already seams to be poorly managed. 15 minutes away in new Tampa Panera just opened a new location and the service there is first rate and they are 3 times more busy. read more

The free internet is what I come in for, but if I can't even get a latte I'm not sure what to order to use their internet! I've been ordering and not drinking it... On 2/5/19 placed a catering order via telephone call to Brooke. Was informed that the order would be delivered at 10:45 AM on 2/6/19. The order was delivered one hour late. While waiting I made three calls to Brooke and shift manager Kathleen neither of whom were responsive nor able to provide a salient explanation as to the delay. Although the person who eventually delivered the order apologized for the delay-the sandwiches were obviously prepared in a hurried manner and the bread was "soggy" upon receipt. Customer service skills greatly lacking at this store. Panera needs some customer service training and/or hire persons that are more customer centric. read more
