Steve had guided us through the process faultlessly. Of their thousands of rugs, Steve found just the right one. The experience was delightful, fun and the rug was perfect for the area. We wanted to sand and restain the upstairs and have the master carpet taken out and hardwoods put in. Downstairs we wanted all LVP. They were great with the hardwoods and stain. Some of our newly painted walls were scuffed more than I would have expected though and they said that was "normal." So be mindful if you're doing floors and walls which one you want to do first. We were aware the downstairs floor is uneven (they did point this out prior too), but suggested flooring shingles to help level as a cheaper option since self leveling solution would cost a fortune. They came in and did the work and did a great job, even installed our baseboards too. They were communicative and cleaned up well. We were very happy with it. After couple of weeks after we found a couple of spots that were hollow. They came back out and glued them down for us. It was amazing! Now, we are several months later and we are having issues where some of the LVP boards un-clicking and it's spreading more. Here I thought we would have a couple of years before this started. We have reached out to them for help or direction/recommendations for companies that can assist (even if we have to pay again) as they had previously mentioned someone could come out and spray foam under to make it level. Unfortunately, with several emails and follow up we still have yet to receive a response. I fear we've been ghosted.

The materials are superior quality and it brought the space to life.

However, after cleaning, over the next several weeks, the fringe on one side of my rug deteriorated badly and fell apart. I called the company, not necessarily to get reimbursement or a "fix" from the, but to find companies, etc. that could replace the fringe. After all it was an older rug and possibly UV light effected the condition of the fringe. They were concerned and asked various specific questions saying they'd chat with the owner. They say this type of thing doesn't happen often. My main complaint is that it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything back from them. You decide.

Despite having in writing that items like the bookshelf, handrail, and stair landing were included, the contractor abandoned the project before completing any of those elements. Their communication was sporadic at best, and I was often left waiting with no notice or explanation. When I finally insisted they meet the extended timeline I had allowed, they responded by filing a mechanic's lien against my home--a retaliatory and questionable move considering the state they left the project in. I have hired legal counsel and am actively pursuing a resolution. I would strongly recommend anyone considering this business document everything, and proceed with caution. I regret trusting this team with my home.

But I'm going to make an exception with Dan and Floor Coverings International of Raleigh. It cost us almost $12,000 to have 1,200 sq ft of new wood flooring installed in our home. Within 1 week of the installation the floor started to bulge and floor boards started "cupping up". The issue continued to get worse over the next several months throughout our home. We asked Dan to explain why the floor was "cupping", a term for the boards bulging and pulling away. He said we had a moisture problem. and there was nothing he could do. We had to replace the floor because our guests were tripping over the floor boards. Prior to having a replacement floor installed, we had the concrete subfloor tested for moisture and the test proved the floor was extremely dry. Moisture could not have been the problem with Dan's installation. Since then Dan refuses to return our calls or emails. We didn't receive any reimbursement of our $12,000, and were unable to save any of the wood that he installed (an additional $9,000). We received no value for our money and experienced poor quality workmanship and terrible customer service. Fortunately, when we replaced the floor, we used a different company called FootPrints Floors. Shawna and her team were extraordinary! Our new floor looks fantastic after FootPrints installed it.

I had 3 conversations; one conversation as soon as the job was "complete" expressing my dissatisfaction with the 2 inch gap left between the tile and the window; second conversation on the phone and the third again at the job site. He adamantly refused to complete the job and make it right and offered no resolution except recommending that I fill the 2 inch gap with caulk or drywall mud. I had a general contractor look at this and that is not a solution that would make this right. The tile on the floor looks great. Steve made a choice to have an dissatisfied customer versus simply adding a few pieces of tile to the side matching the top.
