As soon as she rinsed off the color, I said, "Oh no! it's red! I told you, I am a blonde& if you don't mix the color right it will turn red." "That's not red, it's your scalp that's pink." Then, they won't style your hair, but have you leave with it wet. "If we style it, it will frizz." Then use product! "No, I can't style it, it's frizzing." Of course, it's frizzy, you didn't use any product & you just barely dried it!! Then when you go to check out, thoroughly disgusted, they will charge you DOUBLE what they quoted when you came in. I am a blonde, not a red head. After she rinsed it, I could see that it was RED. She said, "No, it's just your scalp is red." Come on woman, I can see it with my own eyes!! Afterward I went to another salon & asked them, is this auburn? They all agreed it was. If you look at a horse, but tell everyone it's a butterfly, it's still going to be a horse. Then I go to pay & it's bait & switch. Instead of the $65 color quoted, suddenly it's $110. Then when you talk to the owner Angela and ask her to fix it, she will make it obvious that she DOES NOT CARE!!! "You didn't make clear what you wanted.". Lies, deception, rip off !!!! Now I have to go to my mother's funeral with dark auburn hair Level 5 when I am a blonde Level 8!!! I will have to have color correction & that is another $200. There are two bathrooms, a wash room and an employee area. It's decor is a mixture of vintage style hangings and modern music being played on Google speakers throughout the location. I have had various persons crochet my dreads and well they were a mess. Ms. D first gave me a proper ACV wash and "interlocked" my "white" dreads (a process new to me) and totally fixed some Congo dreads which I didn't like. Not only is she a pleasure to speak with but her confidence while she explained to me what needed to be done was impressive to me. I have had many dreads break off and I have never had a professional complete my whole head before. I was so happy with her confidence, and absolute knowledge in making my dreads look neat, so I made 2 additional appointments for my Nephews to experience a proper shave and treatment as needed. I arrived at the shop the shop was nice and everyone was friendly, I had stop by before my appointment to meet the person who was going to do my hair and I also sent a picture of what I wanted. The hairdresser said she could make it happen, well that did not happen I was at the salon all day and I to the evening and still did not get the grey color that I wanted, then the owner of the shop comes and talks to me and explains that my hair wouldn't be able to be dyed Grey, well if that was the case why not tell me that when I first came in the door instead of 8 or more hours of the hairdresser trying to do it. So then the owner said I needed to go, with blonde's red's or brown. So I ended up getting a red color in my hair. While doing my hair the hairdresser started to cry, I told her no need to cry it's only hair and I'm not dead so stop crying. Heck I should have been the one crying because I had been there all day without food( the owner was nice and bought me some Burger King) and I didn't get the color I came in there for. So after she blow dried my hair and did a silk press while she was pressing it out I asked if her flat iron could get any hotter and she said no and I said will that's not making my hair straight enough then I said well just forget it because by that time I'm just fed up with this getting my hair done. So when she was done straighten it out she didn't numb it curl the ends or anything just left my hair straight and looking crazy. So when the hairdresser finished she said I didn't have to pay but I paid any way because she did try and she had spent all day trying. Am I happy with my hair no, will I be going back no would I recommend anyone to go there no. If I could give a zero star I would but I had to pick one, so I picked one star.
