I asked for a basic pedicure, but she upsold me. It was one of the only times I have been happy with the upgrade. Updating my review! I went somewhere else for a natural ombré dip set and it turned out HORRIBLE (see pink/purple dip slash gel mess). I showed up 15 min before they closed and they were kind enough to let me see Cara. Cara used an acrylic nail to show me what she would do with the dip powder and made sure I liked it first. She did an AMAZING job giving me the natural ombré dip full set that I originally wanted. His mani came out amazing (done by Cara) but i was very disappointed with the way that my pedicure came out. I used to see lady at aeon named Julie regularly and she was the absolute best. The week before I had my baby I went in to get my dip redone on my fairly long natural nails. First they told me julie didn't work there anymore but set me with another tech. He proceeded to DESTROY my natural nails. I didnt see the damage until he had finished with one hand (Im short and was a billion and ten months pregnant so I was sitting funny in the chair). I stopped him, the manager saw me get up, he came over and was shocked. I left with my nails like this and found somewhere else that dis what they could to salvage my nails. Came here for a girls day with my friend. Staff is super nice, it's a good atmosphere, and of the course the beverages were a plus. But outside of that, I am by no means impressed. Way overpriced for the quality. It's only been a week and my nail broke off in my sleep 4 days after getting them done. I don't know if the acrylic was too thin or something happened during the application, but it literally just broke off. Maybe I'll give them another shot in the future and have a better experience. The attention you get once you walk in is soo welcoming. Everyone there was happy to see you and ready to help you anyway they could. The family environment was so nice. The front desk said because of COVID we had to wait longer (25 mins) than usual bc limited people can be in there at a time (understandable) so we waited over an hour and saw multiple people waiting longer than us. We asked how much longer and the owner said that we will be much longer bc employees are not showing up. It's the grand opening, they over booked and under staffed. It is beautiful inside, they have alcohol and wasn't overly priced but for the lack of customer service, we will not return. I went in on Chinese new years (sunday) and was I was told a 30 minute wait for a full set. I was given no prices or options for anything. There were several people who came in after me that got seated and serviced before I did. When I finally got seated with someone over an hour had passed since the original 30 minute wait time. I was trying to be understanding since the holiday too most of their workers off the schedule. However I was already upset and frustrated and this extra long wait messed up my whole schedule for the day. When the tech finally got to me he didn't give me a service menu or the color swatches, he proceeded to take out two pink nude colors from his cart and show them to me (they looked identical) and then showed me one and said that one was better and then proceeded to use it. (My anxiety was already through the roof and i was extremely frustrated and wiping tears away at this point so I said nothing and just did whatever he wanted) The work was sloppy and rushed. I paid the $51 and left, as soon as I got into my car in the parking lot, I called my husband bawling my eyes out. Because not only did I not get what I wanted, it was done sloppily and rushed because of how busy the only few techs they had were with everyone coming in. My husband called them and told them the dilemma and they said they would fix it on monday at 2pm, I show up, they put me with the same guy from last time (who I didn't want) I express that I don't want him to do them again, and then the manager comes to speak to me and asks me why I didn't say anything and I explain I had anxiety and that I just wanted to pay and leave because I was so upset and didn't feel like arguing. He then explains that he doesnt mind getting it fixed for me and that i'll have to come back on Thursday at 2pm but he made it a point to let me know that when I just paid and left that the person who did my nails still benefited and got paid from my ticked but the new person who gets me won't get paid. I come back on thursday and they put me with a new lady who does a good job and I get to pick what I want and I went with purple dip (what i wanted in the first place) so they have to soak off my old colored acrylic, It goes fine and I am happy with my nails, and I take the ticket up to the front desk. I was under the assumption that It was going to be an even exchange since the first time I was pressured into getting something i didn't even want and they said they would fix it. NOT THE CASE AT ALL. I was made to pay AGAIN for the set that I originally wanted. I was given a "40% discount" so it went from $61 somehow to now 36, and i tipped the lady 20% so as to not be rude since she did a good job. (which doesn't make sense since i got a short set, so $41 for dip +$10 for soak off +$5 for the tips on my nails = 56 not sure where the other $5 came from? to make the $61) But paying for my nails 2 times in lass than a week is poor business practice, especially when the issues was made known to the shop the day of. I would've happily came back in and let them soak it off and get my money back or make the appointment to have them fix it with what I actually wanted. This is the last time I set foot in here and give them anymore of my money. That's over 100 in the same week on my nails. Literally 4 days apart. I'm so disappointed as I was excited to try this place since I always see it on my FB feed and I loved some of the work I've seen in the pictures but that was not my experience at all. Just moved to the area two months ago and I've been on a hunt for a pedicure place. I came here as soon as they opened (11am) to get a pedicure. I was welcomed by two nice young ladies that asked what service I wanted, I told them a walk-in for a pedicure. I filled out the prompt on the screen and was guided to my chair to be seated right away, with a lady already setting up for my pedicure. The lady was very nice she made me feel welcomed, the whole process was amazing. I didn't feel rushed, she fixed the places that she messed up or wasn't to her liking and she was patient. She was very gentle when it came to cutting off my cuticles. Throughout the process a one young lady asked me if I wanted anything to drink and I said no thank you until I saw what another lady was having and then another young lady asked me if I wanted anything and I said "I'll have what she's having (margarita)". The place was so relaxing, open and CLEAN most importantly. It's very organized, the employees are working hard. And they deep sanitize between each customers. First appointment went well and thankfully they still had my spot open with my 5 year old. 2nd appointment, they had me wait 20 minutes and said to wait in car and they would call me when chairs open up. I never got the call and went in after 20 minutes to find a walk in couple had gotten 2 chairs before us. Don't think they should schedule appointments when they are busy on the weekends. Or at least notify customers that appointments are not only based on the flow of walk ins. Maybe it's just my high "customer service" expectations being from Hawai'i but I am will not be going back.
