Well, I finally grew it out and... it's been an experience. I went as long as I could stand and finally had to get it cut. My hair curls when it gets long and it was getting ridiculous. So I got on Yelp and saw what I could find. Hello, non-manly-sounding Perfect Hair Stylist with great reviews. But lots of reviews came from guys, so hey, let's give it a shot. I had no idea what I was asking for other than, "Please clean it up a little and thin things out, because I have no idea what to do with this mess." Lynn was great about it and took things in steps, not over-killing it the first time. It looked great afterward, and I waited until the day after to write this review to make sure it still looked good the day after. (That's always the test, right?) Yep, super easy to work with this morning and still looked great. Perfect experience. And yes, still only $12. It's easy to tip big when a haircut only costs $12 and service is top notch. I made an appt ahead of time and got there a few min early - so she started a few min early as I was the first appt of the day. I was probably in the chair for 30 min as we talked through managing the rats' nest on top of my head. I'd say that's a long time for a guy's haircut. Only $12 for 30 min of quality haircut? I'll be back for sure. Oh, and even if you're only spending $12, credit card is still accepted (with a line to tip if desired). Last note - the place is actually called Perfect Hair Styles (not Stylist). So that's what you'll find on Googlemaps and the sign for the actual shop.

Rylie was the first stylist in years that I actually saw exclusively. I was looking for a new look a couple years ago and she completely transformed my appearance with her eye for hair, to the extent that numerous people at work began commenting on how good it looked (and I was going to The Gents Place before that, so it's not like I wasn't already spending good money on haircuts.) Her haircutting aside, Rylie always provides a good overall experience. From the moment you walk in when she offers a soda or beer, to her generally chill attitude and pleasant conversation, to the relaxing arm/neck massage and steamed towel on your face, and even the wax-dip for your hands, I always leave feeling relaxed and recharged. I was driving around and saw this big clear Sign said Lucky's Barber Shop. I thought lemme try it. Christine came to the rescue and really spent a lot of time messing with my hair and actually styling it. After I got home I noticed it should have been much shorter on the sides. I called her and went right back in the next day and she peeled it the way I wanted it. She's very nice, great conversationalist, professional, skilled and all was good. Just went back for my second cut the other day and she was even more tuned in this time. They also wash your hair if you like and that is a very nice touch. I'm growing my hair out to donate it and only needed to cut the split ends. My hairdresser did exactly what i wanted! She saved my length and cut the dry pieces!!! My hairdresser was fun, talkative, and dancy! I was there for such a short time, but had a great experience. The only negative i would say is that the place has so many hair clippings stuck everywhere! When i was logging in the screen had a ton of hair clippings. The desk in front of my seat had a ton of clippings covering it. I don't mind it, and it seems obvious that it would happen. This is just for someone who would care about something like this. The location is great because it's in the hot spot in Addison, and there is plenty of free parking! My experience was great!
