Nice shop, nice people. Unfortunately the barber didn't listen to what I asked for a threw a 1.5 up the back of my head. "Growing out a wide hawk to perm in a couple months, only hit the sides please" is exactly what I said... I even outlined it with my fingers to make sure we had an understanding. Set me back at least 2-3 months... and to top it off, they charged me the full amount. Based on the reviews, this place is top notch... I guess it just wasn't my day. Excellent service, amazing vibe, Satisfactory results these three words come to my mind for EMG. I can vouch for their Haircut and beard service as I used these services multiple times. Staff is very good they always give personal attention. I had haircut with Freddy Palacios and he was amazing. He did great styling and suggested excellent products for my thin hairs. Front desk lady Cynthia was very attentive. It was very easy to book appointment using her help. Other staff Marco, Dre, Rafael are also very good as I used their services as well. They're fantastic at the hair cut aspect of the job. But for booking, appointments, professionalism, they do a poor job. They do NOT respect your time. Appointments are often canceled, pushed back, or given priority over when someone the barbers know personally walks in. There's usually only 2 barbers now, so you can wait anywhere from 15-45 minutes BEFORE starting, even if you have an appointment. I still have to recommend them because they're good at the haircut aspect of the job, but let me repeat: They are very disorganized and do NOT value your time read more

This spot was great. I was visiting from out of town and my usual barber was on vacation so I took my chances on randomly picking a place in North Dallas. I'm glad I chose here because Ernesto was excellent. I get a pretty simple undercut with a high fade. I've had previous barbers cut my hair in 15 minutes but Ernesto took his very diligent time with my fade. I was a bit worried since they cut your hair most of the time with you not facing the mirror but in the end the results were great and exactly what I wanted. I was also watching the others barber cut hair and I believe who was Freddy and the other barber, I did not catch his name but he was a black younger looking fella, all did great haircuts and took their time with their customers. So when we came in, Freddy was not there yet and we just waited for a few minutes. Before he cut my fiancé hair, he asked us what we wanted. Once he started, he made sure to know what we exactly wanted. He asked about the side, how short we wanted the sides and what length and what shape. He was extremely detailed and thorough with the haircut and understanding what we exactly wanted. I am very impress with the back hairline he made which is what we wanted, square roundish. I was scare at trying out new places but we had too because our previous guy did not do a good fade. We needed a good barber or hairstylist for the wedding also. There was another customer waiting for Freddy but he took his time with my fiancé hair and did not rush to finish. This time we did not wanted it too faded because of an interview. I hate leaving such a positive review because I know it will make it even harder to get in, but these guys are great. After several years of bad haircuts we finally found a good fit for all the boys in the family. We've been to both Nathan and Freddy and both have done a great job. Up on the latest styles, good communicators, and they spend a lot of time with each of us. Decor could use some work, and there is usually a wait even with an appointment, but worth the wait. Went there twice, first time was ok didnt get exactly what i wanted but it was decent, the second time it was a nightmare, the guy that was working on me didnt have very good english and i dont speak spanish, not only i didnt get what i wanted at all the guy who worked on my head said i didnt tell him what i wanted and he was arguing with me about it, and if that's not enough he also said to me that he didnt like customers like me because they complain a lot. Can you imagine? A worker in a business tells you they dont like customers like you? and his boss right next to him heard it and said nothing. Freddy is the real deal... perfect fade. Very detail oriented and made sure i was 100% satisfied before I left. In town for work and really needed to get a good cut before going back home for the holidays!! I am working out in Frisco Texas and had very bad experience with a few "barbers" out here. Found this shop on yelp and saw all the great cuts people were posting so text Freddy @9pm to get an appointment. He was able to get me in early the very next day before the shop even opened!! One word... Gahbage (don't even deserve the "r") Went in for a beard trim. Decided to support the small barbershops I grew up in by going here since my Art of Shaving appt was messed up and I felt like saving a few dollars. Worst decision I've made in a while... Should've walked out when I saw the main dude wanted nothing to do with walk-ins (don't accept them if u don't want em my guy). But I decided to be open minded. Gave the dude who was open (now I know why) every bit of detail to ensure he got my beard right (that's all I got done was a beard). Dude got to chopping, cut off 4 months worth of growth, didn't use a straight razor properly (just hacking at my skin like he chopping trees), didn't do the hot towel right, screwed up my line smh but I mean hey it was $25 cheaper than what I normally pay ‍ Man actually had the nerve to put on his card "Master Barber". Boy stoppp. Look if u a teenager in the neighborhood and need a cheap cut so u can be semi-fresh for school then go here. But if u a self respecting man or woman who's trying to get that USDA prime choice fade and lineup... GO ELSEWHERE. God Bless these brothers because everyone gotta make bread but y'all had one job on a beard that hadn't been touched in a month. There are some talented guys working in the shop, but it's been hit or miss for me. I visited three times and had issues twice. The two times I got my cut from the owner, he really didn't pay attention to what I was asking for and the outcome was very poor. What's worse is that I was overcharged by the owner every time (just like mentioned in some of the other Yelp reviews) - The price was never the same as what was posted on the display board. You'd expect that type of behavior from an employee, but it's really short-sighted if you're the owner. That's my story - I choose the shop because it had good Yelp but after giving them a few chances, I want to make sure that others hear both sides of the story. read more

Went in for a haircut on Tuesday, May 28th. My barber was named Mike. I asked for a low fade and he didn't even listen to me. Also asked him to just trim the top and he cut it extremely too short.... Been growing out the top for over 3 months for him to ruin it in seconds. Also, he was talking on the phone while cutting my hair. Extremely unprofessional and the whole experience felt rushed. Then he got better and I thought that I had found a barber only to find out that this guy can't even keep up with his clients..
