I sent photos to the office, but they denied that their technician removed them and simply suggested that I buy replacement bulbs because they are inexpensive. The cost of the bulbs is not the issue. The bulbs were working before the visit, and now the fixtures are left without bulbs. I am disappointed that no explanation was provided and no responsibility was taken.

That's just the kind of thing that massively shows up on your water bill so I was really worried about it. I received a call within hours and was scheduled in for the repair on Tuesday. Chuck Barnes contacted me 30 minutes in advance of the arrival time and rolled up to the curb exactly as scheduled. My repair was a difficult one as the company that originally installed the system used some oddball parts, routed lines on top of each other, and used several tees and reducers in hard to work with locations. Where other irrigation companies would probably have taken one look in the hole and left me high and dry, Chuck stayed with me the whole time that day. I got to see the before and after. Chuck fixed the broken part (cracked tee in the worst possible place) and left that section of my system in much better condition that when it was installed. Barnes Irrigation knows their stuff. Chuck and I moved to Central Texas the same year (1994) and he has been doing irrigation work for clients here for over 27 years. I can tell he's seen it all, more than once, and views tough repair problems as a challenge instead of a burden. Barnes Irrigation service fees are extremely good and for that you get a top professional working on your system. The fault in my system reduced pressure to other zones which now irrigate much better than they have in the past. I'll probably be seeing a big drop in my summer water bill now that the leak isn't putting a lot of water where it doesn't belong. That's another big problem solved by Barnes Irrigation. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. Barnes Irrigation is a great addition to my home repair call book.

The people who do the work have to be smart to be able to troubleshoot very complex problems that arise when plastic plumbing and lots of electronic controls are all underground! But they also have to be able to work with their hands to build things, both out of plumbing and electrical hookups. And they have to understand the ever-changing product offerings. Typically I'll work with a sprinkler company as long as they have a very smart guy to do my work; then when they fall off, I start the search for another. I had a problem when I installed a Rachio controller myself; I didn't follow the advice to take a picture of the wiring of the old controller. Then I found that my old controller hadn't been wired conventionally, and I had a devil of a time trying to get it working. So I called my sprinkler guy, who worked all day on it and finally got one zone working. Just one, after working all day! I found Capital, and Dave Fullerton, from Angie's List. He came out, and in four hours had the whole thing working, found a troublesome leak in the system, and made a couple of repairs also. Compared with the average person in this business, he's a true Superman. I recommend that you call Capital for your irrigation system needs. Without reservation. You'll agree with me that this is the best irrigation system work you'll ever have done.
