    So I was supposed to be getting a couch tomorrow, booked 18 days in advance, I was very excited…read moresince I currently have no couch at all...except I realized that the delivery guys were supposed to have called me, so I called them and guess what? They had no delivery scheduled for me. I contacted the Coquitlam location where I purchased it and was told the salesperson I'd bought it from would call me after her break. That did not happen, instead I got a text from a bot asking if I would now like to schedule my delivery? So I called again and finally got to talk to the salesperson I'd purchased from who said she'd look into it and get back to me. Then received a text asking about another date to schedule it. I said have a manager contact me. After talking with the manager I explained that I live in a high rise with a concierge desk and the elevator must be booked and paid for here in ADVANCE, and on top of that the concierge is only available until 4pm. So now I have to get up tomorrow morning just to explain this last second cancellation and hope that they have elevator availability for the new date. Now I have to hope I'm even allowed to use the elevator that day AND hope that the couch will actually come this time because apparently booking a delivery with Ashley doesn't actually mean anything. What was done to make up for this bs runaround and complete inconvenience? Absolutely nothing. 0 f's given. Do yourself a favour and just go to the brick or somewhere else where they actually know how to keep customers and stay in business. In this economy with places going under and locations closing every time you blink you'd think they would do better. I have a whole place to furnish but I can promise no further furniture will be coming from Ashley.

After the couch arrives we very quickly started to experience some problems. We are not very happy with the couch quality or the customer service. The first issue we noticed was the cushion stuffing. The two corner cushions were clearly much less filled than the rest. They were saggy and deflated from day 1. Within a couple days of receipt we called the store and the rep IMMEDIATELY went into a rehearsed reply that this is not covered by warranty because feather couches need regular maintenance such as weekly flipping. Excuse me, but did you not hear us that we got the couch two days ago? The next issue we experience within the first week or two were the constant feathers poking through the fabric. The feathers they use are very small and the points are really pointy and scratchy, making the couch very uncomfortable. If we don't pick and pull the feathers out every time we sit against one, it's really an unpleasant seat. We started resorting to putting thick blankets under us, defeating the purpose of our beautiful new couch. A tech finally came to look at things and they restuffed our cushions, but he said he couldn't do anything about the feathers because we had already done the right thing and selected a premium fabric with a backing that was designed to prevent feathers from poking through. His advice was to just pick out the feathers that do poke through. We're unsure how that will affect the fabric and the full long term but I suppose we will have to live with it.

I sent the store an email with pictures. I had not heard back so I called the sales clerk. She said yes this is normal did you look at the floor model? WTF..... I asked if I can get some of the pillows refilled as they are flat now. She said we would have to see. As you can see the feathers are all over the floor. I won't go back to have them refilled I will take it some where else.

Value: Competitive prices and intelligent design for the majority of the furniture items. Things get a bit annoying after you order, because of the poor follow up. It takes longtime to get an item from overseas, and even tough there is a promise at ordering that you would be informed about each stage of the delivery, that only happens when you call the store. Once my item was ready for delivery, it came wrapped in a clear plastic, (no box, provided it comes overseas and I wonder how it made it thrugh ships), with no label, in the wrong color. Noticing this, I first told the delivery team, who insured me that the color looked different because the showroom had different lighting. Fair enough, but when you order a white thing, getting black is not about lighting. The clear plastic wrap did not have any label to be presented to me. When I called the store, the "solutions" were not at the table - I got offered to go get the samples and take hole (to what with them, not sure). When I asked if anyone can come with the samples and compare the color, they explained that they are short staffed and no one drives to work (?), interesting, where is the manager, really? So, still waiting for a solution as to how to get the item I ordered, paid for, and waited for over 4 moths just to find out that what they delivered is not what I ordered. Their "make believe" is falling apart, this is not how you attract customers, in fact, the whole way this order has been handled, is not acceptable.

Didnt check the stock, didn't ask for any details. We got home and they have 3 in a colour we like in stock! Phoned a different branch. Asked about time and delivery. Said they would check. Hours later nothing. Phoned back and told it could take a few days! Handed a potential sale and does nothing to give any confidence or set any expectations. I am assuming it's only the products keeping these places alive.
