My 1 yr old goes here (she's been here a couple months now) and we love it. The infant room teachers are great and she reaches for Mrs.Toto now. It took a bit of time for her to get comfy but she seems to enjoy it now. Mrs Melissa at the front office is so friendly and answers any questions or thoughts we have. The daycare also provides diapers and wipes which is so convenient! We bring in bottles and food but they also offer solid food from the kitchen that is safe for her to eat. We're also looking into getting our school aged daughter in for a week or two in the summer program. Overall this has been a great experience for us. read more

My six-year-old son absolutely loves it here. He calls it "fun school." His favorite teacher is Miss Sam, Who is so sweet and great with the kids. In fact anytime he has her, he asked to be picked up late so he can enjoy her company in the class. He's made a lot of friends here as well and comes home with a really interesting projects that I have taught him a thing or two. Well they aren't academic, I greatly appreciate the use of explorative learning they apply. I also like how they do themes each week so there is a bit of immersion in their learning experiences. For example they'll have a slime week or a zoology week. My son really gets into this and brings the topics home with him. He will asked to watch videos about things he learned during the day, & loves sharing interesting new facts. I also really appreciate the app they use to update parents throughout the day. I can see what my son has had some for lunch, and pictures of him participating in activities throughout the day. if there are any problems or concerns, or any need for news updates, the staff are quick to send messages through this app as well. I find this very useful and convenient. my son is about to go back to school at Vassiliadis. I do wish they had transportation from there for after school care, but unfortunately there are very few other students attending from the school. :( The reason I may have to look for another after school option. I also wish my son could have Miss. Sam every day. I wish it was an option to choose which teacher they had. My son comes home in the best mood after having her all day. This is our 3rd Creative Kids location my son attends. We love this daycare center from our first location on Wigwam. Left due to location too far from home. Then Rainbow location was not that great about cleanliness and the director didn't seem to care much when I would bring it up. Now I am very grateful that we were able to get our son into the Summerlin location. So far on our 2nd week there and he is loving it. He's made new friends and always happy when I pick him up. My child is very naughty! He can not speak, sometimes angry, because can not express, will shout, the teacher thinks he is a problem child, no patience to teach him, comfort him! Not happy with customer service (the lady who assists Miss Jamie (green hair) needs to work on this), not very welcoming on the very FIRST day of school, not pleased with student/teacher ratio, lag on healthy eating habits.... My child is 3 and we opened his lunch pal and his sandwich was uneaten, this happened frequently - very very upsetting. reiterating "I used to be happy with the school but the place has gone downhill since they were bought out." - I am NOT happy this time around. Our son has been going here for about 7-8 months now and just loves it. He is in the pre-K class. Ms. Aleea is wonderful! Our son is learning so much and has made some great friends. He will definitely be ready for kindergarten. The staff have all been professional and communicate well. Classroom communications are sent through the Brightwheel app. There are weekly newsletters that explain what the class will be working on for the week, the star student of the week, etc. Overall we are very happy with the school. read more

My kiddo has been at Creative Kids (at Alta) for 2 years. We came from Creative Kids on Torrey Pines - also excellent - and have loved seeing our daughter blossom under Ms. Kelly's direction. The staff really care about the kids, and my only complaint would be that turnover is fairly high. I love the app they use to communicate with parents, as I get regular updates and photos throughout my workday. I am amazed at how much my kiddo has grown intellectually and emotionally. The curriculum is robust, but feels like play. I know when she goes to Kindergarten she will be way ahead of her classmates. read more

We are very happy with the school! Our toddler loves to go and runs in as soon as we arrive. I love that we get to both watch the class on the streaming app and we get regular updates on another app an all meals and quantity of food eaten, diaper changes, activities and photos of the day (this is a big job for the teachers for sure). With the other changes due to COVID, I feel that the apps gave us a great overview of the activities and progress of our child. Our toddler comes out of school clearly engaged, happy and very often holding art creations and crafts for us. Since we have been there, there have been initiatives and various activities and updated meal plans with healthy food for the kids, which is really important to me and a huge help not having to prep and send the child in with pack lunch. Our son has attended since April, when we adopted him. We toured EVERY other place in and near Summerlin. Ms. Amber sat with, listened at great length to our fears, concerns and desires for our new son. She gave us an extensive tour, even of classrooms our son wouldn't be in just so we saw how everything works! She went over their curriculum, standards for employees and clients and even told us to stop by at random times and days without notice so we could see first-hand the excellence ALWAYS maintained. She brought me to tears! Other facilities are simply glorified babysitters, think they are better because they provide a lunch or have fancier activities. Summerlin Creative Kids Learning Center is so much more! They taught our son so much in 6 months. He had never been to school, or a learning environment at all. At 4 years old, he knew so little. It was heartbreaking! He knows the entire alphabet, counts to 30, writes his name and a few other words, knows traditional kid songs, learned the days of the week, recites his home address, KNOWS THE SOLAR SYSTEM/PLANETS!!!! He loves school. He goes 4 days per week and begs to go more. The teachers and Mrs. Amber give us updates about every 2 hours, hug him, make him feel safe, taught him how important school is and, most importantly, he knows EVERY STAFF MEMBER LOVES HIM!! I'm sorry if you go elsewhere. The bells and whistles don't provide heart. I only wish his teachers could follow him all the way through high school. I rarely write reviews but I felt this one was needed to warn future users. The center itself it spotless and conveys a great sense of safety and learning for our kids. Unfortunately due to a series of unpleasant experiences with customer service and employee behaviors, we canceled our kids membership after just a few weeks in. Miss communication one after another, overcharging (during closed holidays), disdainful employees, discourteous to kids etc... I hope future members will have a better experience with this great center, however be warned about the unpleasant customer service. read more

I used to be happy with the school but the place has gone downhill since they were bought out. - I constantly witness ridiculous student - "teacher" ratios. They need more teachers for a actual learning instead of letting children run around and do whatever they want. - The teacher turnover rate is too high and provides absolutely no consistency. - I was also just informed that they are no longer providing vacation days to be credited on the next billing cycle. Their new policy is to only credit 50% off one full week vacation. Newsflash: this is a daycare, not a private school. People take vacations and don't enjoy paying for time they don't use. - Don't even get me started on the ridiculous "no suncreen unless you have a prescription" policy. I'm sure it's easier that way but let's pretend we live in Las Vegas and sunscreen here is a necessity. read more

My grandson has been attending the Alta location for nearly 2 1/2 years under the extremely capable director Kelly Reynolds and has thrived beyond all expectations.. All of his teachers have been amazing and a heartfelt shout out to his last pre-K teacher Miss Amber who we will sincerely miss. He will be going to full time Kindergarten in a few days but is staying enrolled as a drop in camper when the schools are closed during spring and summer breaks. He's pretty happy about that because he loved his time there very much! Do not hesitate to leave your kids in their care...they will have a great experience academically and socially. read more

My toddlers first time in day care coming from a stay at home with mom environment. First impression, wow I love this place, it's a big campus, it's clean, great security. Toddler 18 mos-(i forgot what age) was in a classroom that had access to their own playground. The classroom had various toys and activities, it was pretty clean. The room only has 1 teacher most of the time. Here's why it's only 2 stars for me. My son was still stuck on the bottle (for water, milk, juice) he hated sippy cups. I have brought that up to the assistant director Jenny while I was doing the tour. She assured me that's no problem, they'll help wean him off the bottle, that he'll learn from other kids, however they won't accept his bottle and I needed to get the cup with the straw. I was hopeful she was right that he would learn lots of things while in their hands. So we enrolled him. Day 1 pick up time ------ the first thing I see as I open the door was my son, dirty looking, crying all day type of face, begging 1 of the teachers (at this time around 5pm, the main teacher is gone, so they have substitutes) to hold him and she was just brushing him off. I understand she also needed to take care of the other kids and that's why she couldn't just hold my son. My son was exhausted, almost dehydrated and so uncomfortable!!!! That's exactly why he was begging her to hold him because he wanted to feel loved and safe and he was basically asking for help. That picture is still stuck in my mind and it breaks my heart every time!! They didn't try hard enough to give my son something to drink, I know how? As soon as we got into our car, I happened to have a bottle with water in it and boy he chugged it down faster than he normally will, with that said imagine for 8 hours, who knows how much he got to drink!! And!!!! They had them playing outside in the heat. We still took him back 2 days after that cz we had no choice, they found a new method to give him something to drink, spray water in his mouth. I was like okay at least they're trying. Jenny had adv because of having to spray water in his mouth, the teacher changed his shirt. Clearly he was still wearing the same clothes so she lied. from the outcome of his first day, he was already traumatized. The teacher sucks in updating brightwheel, and when I call to check up on my son, the assistant director gives some type of attitude. Oh and to top it off, their handbook states we can bring small pillow (my son has a security pillow) yet they don't accept it. It's a security pillow that he needs for comfort. I questioned why it says on the handbook yet they're saying the opposite, their answer was well we are a statewide facility so it varies. Then don't put it on your handbook because that's misinformation. Speaking of misinformation, when I was touring the campus with the assistant director we went over pricing and my job had some type of discount with them that's why I chose them, she acknowledged it and adv they accept the discount.. when I picked up my son from day 1, we were making a payment and another lady was charging us the regular price. I asked her why when the assistant director and I have spoken about the price, she stated my son needed to be 2 years old for us to apply the discount. I had no choice but to pay the price I didn't agree on. We decided to take him out after day 3, it was not the place for him. If your toddler can drink in the cup already and no attachment issues then this place might be perfect for you. If your kid is like mine, look elsewhere or you will just regret it like me. read more

We dropped off my daughter around 10am on March 3, 2021. This is her second week in daycare. She is exactly 13 months old. She is already crying when my husband handed her to one of the staff. I turned on the Watch Me Grow app that lets me view the classroom and see what's happening inside. I saw the female staff member who is carrying my crying child enter the room. She puts down my child still unconsolable and left. From the video, the room is chaotic, no adult in sight. Within seconds of my child getting in the classroom, a boy with light hair wearing a black shirt that says queen, jeans and black and white shoes pushed my baby to the ground. I was shocked. I looked at my husband and tried to understand if this is normal. I was mortified. While my child is crying for help, the boy now starts hitting her on the head, one, two, three, four, five, six, it went on and on. As a mother I was watching my worst nightmare. Where is the teacher? Why is this happening? My husband is by the front door ringing the door bell to get to somebody to let them know what's happening inside the classroom. I'm sitting in the car watching my child get beat up on the ground. Blow after blow to the head, my heart breaks into pieces. The boy repeatedly hit my child and pulled her hair. My baby is hunched over on the ground helpless. She did not stand a chance. All she can do is cry for help. But no help came. There is no audio on the video but I can zoom in to my child and saw her face, she was in pain, she was scared, she was abused, she was neglected by the Child care providers that I entrusted her to. The video cut off on my end for a little bit, and when it resumed it's the same exact situation. No adult in sight. My child still getting beat up on the ground and now the boy has a block on both his hands and started hitting my daughter with it. I was shivering, my whole body got cold and clammy watching my baby get physically abused and I cannot do anything. My husband eventually was able to talk to somebody and I saw someone go inside the room and grab my baby from the violent child who was bullying and physically hurting her. We talked to the administration to get an explanation why children were left unattended for such a long period of time. The beating went on for more than 5 minutes, the longest and slowest time of my life. If my husband didn't get somebody it would probably have gone longer. The excuse we got is that "children that age cannot communicate" not an apology for the lack of supervision. We were told that the teacher is in the classroom but was occupied changing a diaper, really? It does not take that long to change a diaper. So every time the teacher has to change a diaper something like this can happen? The room was chaotic and my child was getting beat up with no adult in sight. How is that safe? There is clearly lack of supervision, lack of support and neglect that lead to my child getting physically abused. I understand that the boy cannot be blamed, he is merely a child. But he is also a child who does not seem appropriate to be in a group setting like that. And an adult should have intervened if they saw happening. I am a first time mom. For the first 12 months of my child's life, I took care of her, protected her with all my being. And when it was time for me to go back to work, I thought I entrusted her to child care professionals who will keep her safe. But that is not what happened. The week before that my child attended daycare too. My child came home with a bruise and red mark on her forehead. I was told it was because she fell. I wonder if she was bullied that day too. As a healthcare professional myself, I saw the effects of this incident on my child. She was traumatized. She used to love to go to the park but now the sight of other children scares her. She cries the moment another child approaches her. She is fearful. This place is not safe for children. They need to do something about the staff and the administration. After what happened, I don't know how I can trust other people to take care of my child again. But please if your child cannot talk yet and tell you what happened with their day, do not bring them here. They might get abused and have no way of telling you. read more

I went there for a tour today and I wasn't even greeted by the director, who I actually saw. She asked another employee to tour me. She never once greeted me or welcomed me. To me, that's a sign they don't care very much. I hope whomever owns the place reads this. With directors like that, you'll only lose business. I had been given the biggest blessing of my life to be able to watch my grandson for the first year and a half of his life. As a grandmother it was my biggest worry putting my grandson in daycare but knew it was time. I went to several facilities and fell in love with this center. The director, Kelly was the first person we met when visiting. She showed us around and made us feel very comfortable. For two years my grandson attended this daycare and he loved going there every day. All of the teachers knew his name and he had many friends and loved going there. They worked with him on potty training and was so patient! We hated to leave Creative Kids but the location became too difficult. I would absolutely recommend this location to everyone! It's seems to me that you either have a great experience or a horrible experience with your child attending this so called Learning Center which is really a day care facility, that has ( very high student to teacher ratio ) 30 students to 1 teacher with an occasional teachers aid that floats back and forth. With so many kids how can my child get the proper attention he needs especially being so young ? ***Parents please don't make the same mistake that I did for for my child, judging this school based on all the beautiful amenities, location of neighborhood & not doing any Research first. Sending your little ones here is like rolling the dice and we the parents and little ones are the ones who Lose. This over rated day care wins by earning our money without providing value for it, no piece of mind and a half ass early childhood start for our little ones. Not worth it. The people in charge of enrollment do a great job selling the so called Learning Center when it is a day care with much needed Staff improvement. I assumed that this would be a great fit. Shame on me for only seeing this school for its appearance and assuming that my son would be in the best hands. I was so wrong they sure fooled me. My son going into Kindergarten fell behind after attending this so called school for 9 months. We had to hire a tutor for 7 months to get him up to grade level. I'm responsible for assuming that this Learning Center which really is a daycare would have helped prep him somewhat for Kindergarten like they said they would. *Their pre-k prep program is a Joke!! This day care feels very much like your child is a very profitable number to their business. I seems that they are more concerned about the bottom line / Enrollment than your child's education. Some of the teachers seem to care which is a handful and the majority of other teachers could care less. Not consistent which should raise a Red flag. Parents please do your Research. This place has changed drastically since I wrote my previous review. This place is downright awful! My son has been here 4 months & he has been misplaced, bitten, and the last straw is he was left in a pull up for 10.5 hours. Nobody changed his diaper from the time I dropped him off at 7am. I picked him up at 5pm same pull up on. He was soaked with urine. Complete neglect! Words can not express how upset I am. Needless to say he will not be returning for more neglect. I however, will be addressing my concerns with this daycare and their neglect of my son with the proper authority. Beware this place is horrible! My little boy attended Creative Kids for a year from the age of three to four and loved every day of it from the first day he stepped through the door. It was the first time he had been to any childcare so I was anxious about it to start with but the staff at Creative kids went out of their way to make me feel comfortable about it saying I could call in to see him anytime I wanted. But the way he happily went everyday was all the proof I needed. He even asked to go at weekends! The hours are flexible which suited us with a new baby in the house when sticking to an exact schedule was tricky some days. It's fantastic value for money and the staff are all really friendly and helpful. They made us all feel very welcome. read more

From my first visit to my first drop off, the staff was courteous and kind. I was kind of anxious to drop off my 2 year old at day care since she has never been in one, but i later found out i was worried for nothing. She had an amazing first day and actually enjoyed it! My two daughters have been going here since 2010. My youngest is moving on from Pre-K to Kindergarten this year. We used Creative Kids for both pre-school and after-school care and have been very happy with the quality of care and teaching our daughters have received. My oldest daughter did full-day kindergarten this year and Creative Kids had her prepped well for Givens Elementary full-day kindergarten. I recommend this Creative Kids to all my friends and co-workers looking for childcare. We will probably try Safe-Key this year as our daughters are older now and we have family in-town often that watches them, but if it is not a fit then we will go back to Creative Kids. (Safe-Key allows you to pay by the day, and if Creative Kids had that option then we would be staying put, but for our family paying by the day is a significant savings due to all the days we do not need childcare.) read more

My son started going here when he was 18 months old, and he is now 2 months shy of turning 5 years old and he still attends. I couldn't be happier with this Creative Kids. He has learned so much and from DAY ONE has impressed me beyond my expectations. The school director, Ms. Kelly, is one of the best. She's welcoming, caring, knows us by name and my son just loves her. The teachers; Ms. Juanita, Ms. Vicki, Ms. Violeta, Ms. Maria...they are all fantastic people and great at what they do. Every day my son was happy, full of excitement, eager to tell me about his day and loved showing me what he created that day. Sure, there were times where jackets went missing, there were bumps and bruises, some rough days...but guess what? They're kids, it happens! And no matter what happened, be it a cut or a fever, the staff here always notified me right away and I was very appreciative. I would recommend this school to anyone. My son adores his teachers and all of the staff so much that we had to switch schools because they were the only place he wanted to go. They welcome you with a smile and are always asking how you and your child are so they can know anything that might effect your child thru the day. I toured tons of preschools And chose this location bc it was clean and had the friendliest staff. The only reason I'm giving a 3 Star is because of how a certain incident was handled by the staff while the director was gone and also wasn't a fan of how often my daughter got a new teacher. She had Mrs Amber for pre-k and I couldn't have been happier. Amber taught her SO much and really prepared her for kindergarten. She truly cares about the kids and caters to individual needs! My daughter has been going to this location for almost 2 years now. Both her and I LOVE it. Everyone that works there is wonderful, friendly, helpful and great with kids. Each staff member enjoys their work and this shows with the great attitude they all have and the smiles on their faces everyday. I also love how they incorporate teaching into everyday lessons. My daughters vocabulary and understanding is incredible and I attribute that to the hands on that each child receives. I honestly have felt he is very safe there. He likes going and doesn't complain about it at all and he would tell me (he is 5). They are doing their best and at times - yes - the teachers were a bit stressed and didn't know how to handle 6 boys running around. Some are trying their best for sure, it's stressful to be with kids all day - which is why we drop them off so we can go to work right? ;) My boy is high energy and does need to have structure and free time to run around, which I feel is happening at his school (based on how well he sleeps at night even though he also naps there). I like that I get to pack his lunch every day - we make it fun to do it in the morning together and I feel I am with him at school in a way. Now some minor cons: His teacher did leave after just 2 months so now he is in a new class with another teacher who may or may not stay - I find that to be very hard as I am trying to give him some sort of consistency but I guess you can't make a teacher stay if they can't. They go around different classrooms all day, at 8 am is in one class then he moves to another at 9 am and then in the afternoon when there are fewer kids they all group into yet another class (and yet another teacher). This can be good in a way: new environment, new toys, different friends and so far my son hasn't complained and he adapts well - the good thing is it's always the same 3 classes and they are all next to each other. The afternoon evening teacher I love. She talks to kids in a way you can tell she really cares (Ms. Nikki) and you can also tell the kids love her. There's also the element of energy / karma - if you go about having fear / bad energy - the school and your experience will have that for sure - wherever you go. My son has had very strict and pretty mean teachers in Europe where he goes full time usually and trust me - teachers here are very nice. Now when it comes to learning - they aren't set up to learn it seems but maybe they do? I personally feel I am responsible for what my son learns or not - I'm still his mother. So we count in the car together, we do the alphabet, he writes out his letters, I take him to the library, we read a ton of books. Learnings should be at home and school yes you can learn a lot but I believe school should give them the desire to learn, not force them to know everything out of context. So for our needs, which is to provide part time care while I work and the other days I home school him, this is a great school for my son. There was an incident where a little girl got sick and had a fever and ended up very unfortunately passing, when I asked about the incident, they told me it was an accident - and not due to illness. I was concerned as my son also had a fever that week - I gave him natural remedies (peppermint tea with honey and colloidal silver and other natural things instead of tylenol so his body healed itself) but stillI would have preferred to have known the truth... which probably would have just freaked me out even more. Other than than, the Director has been uber nice, she's had to be very flexible with us - I have had to change days a lot and always she and they all have been very gracious. I got to also meet the owner who looks very friendly and approachable in the short time I got to spend with her - not corporate at all. Looking forward to learning more about her. Thank you! read more
