1 bad thing that's it but I love this place and they did really well with my kids . My daughter has autism and at the time I got custody of my kids and had to work full time to support us . Due to an emergency custody battle . Anyway I was granted immediate custody and brought them here and they did amazing . 1 thing that I don't like which isn't the teachers fault ... after my temp custody was up . I had told them I wasn't going to be coming anymore and as you know you can only attend if you pay . So when I told them I don't have my kids . I still got billed 750$ a week even though they were not even there ... which now I am in debt over this and don't understand why I am being billed for a service I'm not using whatsoever... so I feel like they are getting over on me on that aspect .. aside from that my kids loved it . Also if you work there please fix that payment thing because I shouldn't be getting billed when my kids aren't even in the state of Nevada .. thank you read more

My son has been going here for 5 months now and we love this day care so much. The staff is so very caring and experienced and loving. We took our 2 year old to a different daycare that charges much less and they couldn't help our son. He's highly sensitive and he's only 2 so his whole remembered life experience is during quarantine. It was hard for him to adjust. But they laid with him until he got used to napping there and he adjusted really well They keep the kids busy with projects all the time. We get pictures of him drawing and playing outside and learning with interactive toys. Like "fishing" or "milking a cow" or figuring out fun puzzles. In the spring they gardened!!! I can't show him gardening at home. I don't have a yard or the space or time to do that. He gets to play with dirt at school!!! He loves it. He really really loves it. And I was afraid he wouldn't be able to go to daycare yet. I didn't know what we were going to do. And because of the teachers here he's thriving. And he already knows his colors! These people do not understand the laws! I have been on a wait list since May for my son to come to this school. Turned in all the paper work weeks ago and paid over 1k (for 1 child) and today after my son has been dropped off snd said they don't accept religious exemptions even though we talked extensively about it with the past director who did our walkthrough. Apparently the new director thinks she's above the LAW and can make up her own rules. On top of that why did no one look through my sons paperwork before his first day? They are disorganized and if they are breaking the law here what else are they doing wrong? Have reported them to the health district and will be hiring an attorney. Our baby girl's name is Emerald. She has been at Summerlin KinderCare part time for about a year. We've had experience in the nursery room, and now the pre-toddler room. WELCOMING... We visited a few daycares. Another daycare had the vibe of "We are full & you must beg us to have a chance at coming here" lol. They wouldn't even do a tour until the end of the year. In contrast, KinderCare let us know they are fairly full & but they would love for us to apply and be a part of their community. SECURITY... They have a locked front door with an entry code. In the past year, they've changed it 4 times. And always have someone up front watching who comes in & out. HEALTH... Emerald got pink eye from a family friend (not from KinderCare). The front office was empathetic and felt bad for Emerald, while also kindly let us know that we needed a doctor's clearance before returning. Was inconvenient, but grateful that have high standards to protect the kids. INTEGRITY... A couple of times, the teacher gave me a form to say Emerald had a boo-boo. My first reaction was worried, but after looking at her, I couldn't even tell. They could have just not mentioned anything. It speaks to their integrity & professionalism. FLEXIBLE... In the nursery, we had some unique requests that the teachers were accommodating with. Food preferences, time between feedings, trying to ween off of thumb sucking. They were helpful with everything, and never made us feel crazy lol. FUN & LEARNING... They have a schedule of reading times, play times, mealtimes, interactive learning. Emerald loves it all, especially because she gets bored easily at home with the same toys. Emerald learned how to walk within 1-2 weeks of entering the pre-toddler room. My guess is seeing all the other kids walking, gave her the confidence. CLEANLINESS... Emerald sometimes has dirty clothes, or snotty nose. All normal stuff. If Emerald had a blow-out diaper or unusually large drooling, they would change her to new clothes. If we forgot to leave a spare outfit, they happen to have some spare fresh clothes. Since I'm OCD, I notice everything. And the whole team does a phenomenal job keeping the rooms clean. COMMUNITY... There are diverse kids (and teachers) of all backgrounds & beliefs. I like that for Emerald. There are fun spirit weeks (sports attire, appreciation week), and KinderCare hosts quarterly parties for the families with activities & free food :D SPECIAL THANK YOU... We have a long history with KinderCare. We've been going to KinderCare since 2015 when our daughter was about 9 months old at the (now closed) location at The Lakes, all the way to present day, now at the Summerlin location with our son. Kashmir as the Director of The Lakes transformed that center dramatically. She ensures that all policies are adhered to by the staff and she had created such a loving environment for the children. Kashmir is kind, patient, accommodating, and most of all, HONEST! When the Lakes location closed, a part of me panicked because I didn't feel comfortable starting a new location without Kashmir as the Director. During the closure, Kashmir kept in contact and updated me on her whereabouts and I couldn't be more appreciative of that. Thankfully, Kashmir and most of the Lakes staff was able to relocate to the Summerlin location and we have had nothing but a great experience there as well! They follow all procedures to ensure the safety and well being of the children and staff as we are still very much fighting this COVID pandemic. Ms. Andrea, Ms. Judy, Ms. Heather, and Ms. Neshan are ALL outstanding and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my kids. To have a consistent staff of teachers is rare and one that we are thankful for, as this group continues to watch my children grow and have helped create a love of learning that I see in my daughter as she starts the 1st grade this year! We toured a few different daycares for our daughter (18 mos) and this was far and away the brightest, friendliest, and most aligned with our expectations. Our daughter loves her teachers and it puts my mind at ease to know that she is in such good hands. In the toddler room especially, the teachers are patient, fun-loving, communicative with the parents, really try to get to know the kiddo as an individual, and have the kids' safety as a priority. (Shout out to Ms Linda, Ms Shelly, Ms Dania, and Ms Cynthia in the toddler room - we love you guys!) We've also had a positive experience with the administrative staff, Ms Carleigh and the new director, Ms Michele. You get the feeling that they love their jobs and like to connect with the parents and kiddos. The KinderCare app is a recent improvement and it's nice to be able to check in on what my daughter is doing throughout the day. We are big fans of summerlin kindercare, but there are a couple of things to suggest for improvement. First, It would be nice if the breakfast provided were a hot breakfast. Even though they provide it (cereal and milk), we usually feed her something more substantial at home before drop off. Secondly, I'd appreciate a more thorough check in/check out procedure. There's a code at the main door and the teachers check the kids in and out via the app, but I'd like to see some sort of electronic check in/out at the front desk or in the room that the parent or guardian has to complete (eg parent types in a code specific to their family in order to sign their kid in and out as well as a teacher check in). We had this at our daycare back in California and it was top notch security having multiple points of check in/out. read more

My son has been in this school for almost two years now and I am happy with it so far. Great quiet location and atmosphere feels like home. It's very small school which I love. Every teacher and stuff member knows each student and patents. My son loves his teachers in his class and I can see improvements in his education every day. Miss Alicia, miss Aleks are so wonderful. Special shout out to the new school director Kashmir. This women works and knows how to make everything better. My grandson attended their preschool program 2017-18. I was so impressed with not only his program, but I would look into the classrooms of other ages and the see the staff actively engaging with children of all ages. Their preschool program readied my grandson for reading, science, art, and self discipline. I would be amazed to walk in a room of 20 or so 4-5 year olds and watch them independently working on a project. I don't even know where to start. If I could give this center 10 stars I would. My family and I had moved to Nevada, and have no family or support system here. I had previously had to quit my job due to my son experiencing health issues. He was doing better and it was time for me to start working again. I had done a google search of childcare centers in the area. It felt overwhelming.I heavily put importance on reviews or centers, some yes I take with a grain of salt. Overall it helps me in making a well rounded decision. I had made an appt with KinderCare to come tour and see the location. The location I toured originally was "the lakes" center.. Kashmir was the director there. I sat there with my son hardly a year old, in my lap. I had started crying at the thought of putting him in someone else's care, and it was overwhelming. Kashmir offered me a tissue and was just so so patient, and kind to us. Still crying...I took a tour of the facility and met teachers. I knew without a doubt this was the perfect center for my son. Kashmir took her time with me, didn't rush or pressure me, and CARED. My son attended and the center ended up closing due to covid. I kept in contact with Kashmir, and heard she ended up at this location here on Marigold. I immediately got on the wait list and enrolled my son as soon as I got work again (was out of work due to covid)I cannot say enough about Kashmir, the teachers, and staff at this center. My son has many food allergies, his allergies are taken seriously. I pack all his meals, they are always on top of feeding him on schedule. Every time I call the center I am greeted and I ask for what I need etc, and always asked if there is anything else. My son is autistic and originally struggled with settling down for naps. Kashmir and her teachers worked with him and now he naps daily! My son had a speech delay as well, this was a huge concern for me. Many teachers have spent 1-1 time with him and given me updates on his interactions/how he is doing. When my husband or myself pick up/drop off, all teachers and staff are so friendly and tell my son goodbye by name. The assistant director Anastasia is amazing as well. My son recently started pre k at an elementary school. My son goes to daycare in the morning and evenings and school In between.Anastasia is amazing and always helps me with any needs, his bus schedule, scheduling on non school days, assisting with his feeding schedule. A beloved stuffed animal was lost, as well as a sippy/sweatshirt, all replaced by KinderCare. Between his school, the drop off and pick up of the bus, it can happen. Just an amazing and heartfelt gesture. I went from not wanting to place my son into a childcare center, to both of us smiling at drop off and pick up.. I feel everyone loves my son here and truly cares about his well being. I love getting photo updates when I'm working during the day, and knowing he is cared for. If you are hesitant, I understand, but trust me-this will be the best decision you can make to place your child (children) at this facility. My son is a handful, having so much energy, and I was worried about putting him in school where he might not be supervised as well as at home. The first few weeks at KinderCare have cured me of my fear. I receive several pictures of him having fun in class, playing with other kids, doing arts & crafts, and of course eating (his favorite)! My son he been attending this daycare for about a year now. His teachers are all amazing but Ms. Lorraine is one of the best. I've watched her handle the kids with such patience yet great control... as much as you can with a bunch of 3-4 yr olds. I absolutely love the curriculum my son is getting as they really try to prepare them for PreK and K and they have cooking classes and other great activities or extra help you can sign them up for each week. To begin, I was surprised by the comment of Kindercare, what child would be a good fit for a preschool with poor supervision that is able to get attack by another child and to be able to continually bite 6 times with out anyone seeing it. Only to later learn that after reporting the incident the child bit someone else 2 hours later. So, if your child is attacked and bitten many times and no actions are taken to stop another, and solely offered an we're sorry. Then this would be a good fit for you. read more

This is the second KinderCare location my daughter has attended and I couldn't be happier with the growth we've seen in her! Everyone at this location has been more than helpful and welcoming, changing schools mid year can be tough on kids and both the teachers and staff here has been great! The curriculum is spot on for Pre-K and they do a great job of making learning activities engaging for the kids. Overall would definitely recommend this school for anyone looking! read more
