Phil responded and gave me a couple quotes based on photos I sent but gave a realistic expectation that he would need to see the piece in person due to the damage being against the grain to see if an in-home touch up could be done or if the entire surface would need to be refinished (no one else I contacted even mentioned this and some charged for an in person evaluation which Adam's Furniture Repair doesn't). He came and evaluated the piece and we decided to do an in home touch up which I'm really pleased with! I've had this piece since I was a child so it has sentimental value as well as being a quality piece. He also did a couple smaller fixes on two other pieces of furniture I had.
