Creative Mind is the best choice we made! Our daughter has learned so much and made so many friends. The teachers and director are incredibly communicative and give updates and photos and are especially communicative about any scrapes/bumps or incidents (even when they're super minor) which really puts parents at ease. We have been so impressed with everything that they teach the kids as well as the variety of programs they offer (yoga and music are just two examples). The hours are incredible for working parents and the tuition is such an amazing value for all the love and attention they give the children. I think the greatest review, and why we opted for Creative Mind, is how happy the kids are when you visit. I think it shows how supported and safe the kids feel in the space that they are comfortable approaching any parent that shows up and playing or talking with them. Creative Minds has truly been a blessing to our family! Our last day there was quite emotional as the staff had become a large part of our family and a continued safe space for our kids outside of home. They pour an immense amount of love and kindness into our kids and ensure that they receive the love and care to help them thrive and grow physically, mentally, and socially! All the teachers there are so great and amazing, Ms Manik has been with my two little ones since they first started preschool to the end including when my eldest graduated from pre-k, and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for our two kids! My kiddos loved helping Ms Manik out and she was an amazing role model to my kiddos! Ms. Pamela became like a second mom to my eldest as she progressed through school and my daughter could chat to her about anything! Director Lupe is so hardworking, kind, sweet, loving, and really put her heart and soul into the school and to every single kid, she really changed the school around for the better, and is one of the reasons why my family and i love Creative Minds so much! When my kids first started school, they were extremely shy, but as time passed, they thrived so incredibly much, singing the songs that they learn in school, repeating their ABCs, became chatterboxes and more confident socially around others! My daughter just graduated from here and absolutely loved it. She had spent two amazing years and we really enjoy the new management. They created an entire graduation ceremony and so many fun activities throughout the school year including mother and father's day celebrations, music class, hula class, and their education is amazing. My daughter graduated with the ability to write her name and family members names clearly, can easily count to 100 and is able to read several 3 letter words. I assumed this was normal until we got to kindergarten and so many kids were still learning these things. Ms. Lupe runs such an amazing program and we love and miss all the teachers especially Ms Manik, Ms Pamela, Ms Whitney, Ms Irma and Ms. Maria. She still asks about them daily. read more

My son started at Creative Mind Preschool at 2.5 years old. He stayed there until he matriculated to kindergarten in Hancock Park. He absolutely loved it. The school is very focused on the emotional and social intelligence of the children. The children learn a lot about other cultures and also a bit about history (my son randomly started talking to me about MLK, and I know I hadn't yet introduced Civil Rights to him). Is it the cheapest school in the area? Nope. Is it the best? I believe so. These teachers are in tune with your child. Wonderful preschool centrally located to the east side of LA. Worked great for us as I commuted to my office in Hollywood and it was nice to have our daughter close by. Great hours for working parents. The school has an intentional focus on diversity & inclusion and social & emotional learning. Fantastic teachers and supportive environment overall. Really felt like the school was an extension of our home. Our daughter went on to receive admissions to one of the most competitive private schools in Pasadena and we can't help but attribute some of that to Creative Mind! read more

This is a great school and we really love it here. My daughter is 4 years old and has been going to Creative Mind for over two years now and has had a wonderful experience. She loves coming to school every day and loves her teachers. The staff is very loving, supportive and fair. What a wonderful preschool. Our son started at Creative Mind when he was 2.5. He was always excited to go to school. The longer he attended, the more I saw the wonderful influences of the school's philosphy take hold in him. He started to spontaneously say he wanted to be gentle and kind. He would say "I'm a scientist," and then, "Do you know how to become a scientist? You ask questions." He hadn't shown an interest in painting at home, but at Creative Mind, he made lots of paintings and crafts that now hang on our fridge. He grew to love his teachers and formed friendships with other children. I was also impressed with the way the COVID-19 transition was handled. While the school was closed, the teachers quickly began to provide excellent virtual classes that kept my preschooler engaged for up to an hour and a half each time he chose to join. The school communicated frequently with parents about reopening, and when it was time to reopen, they did so with every possible precaution in place. Brigitte, Sasha, and Mr. Genaro were always incredibly kind and loving toward our family. You cannot go wrong with this school. read more

I had a lot of anxiety as a first-time parent looking for a preschool. Through the Parents Education League, I found Creative Mind Preschool. When I spoke with Brigitte on the phone, she was warm, kind, and full of energy which set the tone of how our experience has been with CMP. I have twin boys. They were in separate classes but together during outside play time. I was a little worried as they've never been apart from each other. My boys are happy. They've developed, grown, and made lovely friends. When I pick them up, they say "just a little longer mamma." At home they sing the songs they've learned, some in Spanish and others in English. They show me their crafts, and tell me about soccer, playing with friends, and let me know which books we must read at home! CMP has lots of engaging toys (inside/outside) and there's always a sense of exploring from the books at school, the books that Brigitte has written, the toys, the murals inside and outside and daily lessons. Brigitte and her staff create an inclusive, warm, loving and happy environment. Sasha and Brigitte connect with the parents, so we are always on the same page. They provide solid tips which are super helpful! My boys love Mr. Genaro. One afternoon I was lucky to witness Mr. Genaro calm two children at the same time. He had one child in tow, comforting a second child, when a third child came to him crying. Mr. Genaro, gracefully with non-verbal communication, had the 3rd child calmed. It was great. This is such a special place. After having my son at another preschool for a few months and seeing him struggle, we were delighted to bring him here where he has absolutely flourished. I now have both my children enrolled and it has been such an amazing experience. In addition to their philosophies being centered around social/emotional development, kindness & mindfulness, they pay special attention to each child and their individual needs and personalities. They are so welcoming to speak with me at length about any issues I'm having at home with my kids regarding sleep, discipline, listening, etc., and offer insights and practical solutions that they will also implement into the care he's receiving while I'm at work. My oldest son is totally prepared to enter kindergarten in the fall. And not just because he can write or count, but because his socialization and emotional maturity has grown so much at Creative Mind. Our kid just finished 3 years at Creative Mind and we couldn't be happier! The teachers all show such genuine care and affection for each child! LOVE LOVE LOVE Creative Minds Preschool. I love that I get sent pictures of my son doing yoga or riding bikes or playing with his friends - it makes my heart smile. I love that my son is excited to go to school everyday. I love that the children learn about Martin Luther King, and fairness and important subjects that will make them great citizens of this world. I love that the teachers speak spanish and french and that the kids are all culturally diverse. I love that there's a science station and instead of 'time out' the kids go sit down and read a book to cool down. The teachers are amazing and loving and informative and I feel secure and happy leaving my son in their care everyday. I have been kindly waiting for Children's Right to play to get a page on Yelp! Dr. Vardanyan and her staff certainly know what they are doing. I am new parent who came from another preschool and in the few months that my child has been attending CRP Preschool I have seen enormous changes in my child's development. My son actually loves going to school, this was not the case at our previous preschool, which reenforces I made the right decision. In addition, the staff really works with my son to teach him the appropriate social skills he needs given his hyper activity. CRP was actually recommended to me by two of my friends who's children attended the previous preschool where Dr. Vardanyan was the director. It is a little out of our way, but my child's growth and happiness is worth the drive! Not to mention I also took the liberty to check out other preschools in the area to compare and CPR really stood out. Dr. Vardanyan and Ms. Christine answered all my questions and addressed my concerns appropriately, something that none of the other surrounding preschools were really able to do. I highly recommend CRP! I recommended CPR to my friend who's daughter is almost 2, and she will soon be checking out CRP because their program accepts 2 yr. olds and the child does not need to be potty trained. From my experience, virtually no preschool program does that. I definitely encourage parents to check this school out. read more
