The way they tend to children and any parent concern is mind blowing. They properly feed and genuinely attend and teach children here. Kids literally cry cause they never want to leave at the end of their day. And in the morning when my daughter and I drop off the they express so much freaking happiness to see the daycare employees. The facilities are extremely clean, my son's runny nose he had for the entire time at his previous daycare went away after the first week and hasn't returned. The kids wash their hands before every meal, which is a great habit to learn so young! In the morning it always smells like yummy breakfast and has the most welcoming vibe. After a few weeks he came home patting his head and making "sh shh shh" motions with his fingers. Since I had read the below review I was very worried. However, after spending some time trying to figure out what my son was doing, I learned he was dancing to "wheels on the bus" and "head shoulders knees and toes". I mentioned this to his teacher and she said they dance all day and those are two of the most played songs. We are very happy here!

NYS lists them as "pending revocation" since December 2018. They are up for renewal in October 2019. I know from our own experience that it can be hard to find quality care, but please do your diligence before enrolling here or continuing to entrust this facility with the welfare of your children. Their compliance failures are overwhelming.

My son was badly injured at this facility and they did not seek urgent medical care. We've taken our story to the press to make sure parents in the local community were made aware. A simple Google search of this facility will show you the full story, covered by WCBS, NY Post, USA Today, Journal News/LoHud, News12, HLN, and several more. My sons accident uncovered a sad reality - this facility had been operating all year with over 30 violations against it. We had no idea. I've since become very familiar with how to view daycare violations on OCFS.com. As of January 4th, 7th and 8th of 2019, the state of New York logged even more violations against TLE Dobbs Ferry. They now total to 83 violations. In my quest to find new daycare for my son, it appears most daycare centers in our area don't have more than 5 violations over the span of several years, some which have been in operation for 20+ years. Compare that to 83 violations at this facility from November 2017-January 2019. They should be ashamed of themselves. I wish we had known about these violations sooner. We would have removed my son from the program immediately. Since we've spoken to the press, at least a dozen parents and former staff members have contacted my husband and I directly about their own negative experiences at this facility, ranging from injuries to their children requiring stitches and leaving scars; to a 4 year old child being called an "idiot" to her face by one of the head teachers; to another teacher telling the pre-K class about her brother in jail on a daily basis; to teachers being encouraged by management to manipulate the children's daily performance sheets to make it appear they are learning skills at a faster rate than they truly are. Ask yourself, would you want you child being watched by this facility? If you look up the violation history of this center at OCFS.com, you'll see they even failed to perform background checks on a number of the staff. I won't besmirch everyone at TLE Dobbs Ferry. My son had a few really great teachers who cared for him dearly in the 12 months he attended this facility. Unfortunately for my son, none of them were present when he was injured. Had even one of them been, I'd like to think his injury would have been handled better. Many of these teachers have since left TLE and gone on to better facilities. I can't encourage parents enough to do their homework. Please use the resources available by the state of New York and look up the violation history of any daycare facility you are considering for your child. You can also contact the Westchester Childcare Council for assistance. They will even perform a daycare search for you based on where you live, and will give you all the information you need on individual facilities.

We feel that TLE has created a community of parents, The "TLE family," and an environment of care and learning that has been exemplary for my son. He is almost reading as he leaves pre-K and has been well prepared for kindergarten. We made lifelong friends during our time here and always felt partnership with the teachers and administration whenever something came up. Covid was a very difficult time, but we got through it and TLE did an amazing job at keeping the children safe, communicating with the parents, and creating an environment of learning even during a pandemic. Shortly after, this person had to leave and we were in need of daycare that would offer care and education for our daughter (who was 2 at the time) that kept up the momentum for how much and quickly our daughter was learning. We eventually came to find TLE in Riverdale, and were so pleased with the initial impression. Through time, our daughter demonstrated continuous learning (started in daycare knowing numbers, letters, shapes, and colors, and now expanded number counting to 30, is able to list colors in Spanish, and always catches her mother and myself by surprise when she demonstrates her growing knowledge). Also, the way that this facility has managed safety and care during the heaviest parts of the COVID pandemic solidified to our family that we had chosen well. Since both her mother and I are considered essential workers, the fact that the daycare has remained open for a huge portion of this time (rarely did they close, but always had safety measures in place) made for a really supportive service. We loved that they also had requirements for the children to wear masks as well as the staff. Overall, there isn't anything negative I can say about this particular daycare. We moved away and had to select a new daycare, but I cannot emphasize enough how positive our experience has been with this facility. He loved their songs and knows all the movements to the "wheels on the bus." He learned to eat with a fork. They also follow a structured routine that children find comforting because they know what to expect during the day. Each child gets a lot of individualized attention - the teachers get down on the floor and play with the children. This was important to us because children learn through play: making cars move, opening boxes, stacking blocks, etc. The teachers were genuine and they were engaged in developing each child's curiosity and creativity. We recently had to move and were sad to say goodbye to this magical place, but we feel so lucky that our son got off to a great start there.

This woman has harassed us multiple times after asking to please stop, with text messages and calling my husband at work. This would be infuriating to anyone and is completely unacceptable. My daughter is 11 months old and this daycare provider expected my child to be "independent" because she cried too much and apparently just likes to be held. My daughter was only there for FOUR days and she is making these remarks since her third day there, attending part time. This provider should learn more on separation anxiety, the use of walkers in her daycare, and TV usage on kids. As a daycare provider, she should be more aware of the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP). TV usage is not recommended for infants, such as walkers, and maybe learn a thing or two on what separation anxiety is and how to help a child and parent cope. I dont recommend this place unless your newborn, infant, or toddler is independent, and doesn't cry. She is lazy and just wants a paycheck, if you have too much to say about the welfare of your child, she calls you demanding. This woman is rude and I can not believe she is in the field of working with children. Edit to add: Also, she doesn't respect my daughters allergies. During the interview process , I told her my daughter can not consume dairy, and has a special formula called Nutramigen, that I provided. She gave my daughter yogurt and cheese and who knows what else. And when I tried to explain to her that it was medically necessary, she asked me how would I know that if I never tried. My daughter was very sick from CMA very early on, so for her to question me over what my daughter has to eat, was a little alarming. This lady needs a lot more education on kids. I am enraged and disappointed in this daycare. I would never recommend this place. I have copies from the registration process where it was written to you that she is in on a special formula due to dairy allergy. I also have text messages and photo of my daughter in a walker and asked you to take her out because there is risk of dangers and you said no, its okay because i am watching her and its good for her legs. So please do not write here, that you do follow the recommendations of AAP , because when I mentioned it to you and my husband, you had no idea what that even was. With the milk allergy, you didn't even understand what I was telling you. You are very misinformed and will come up with excuses to save yourself. You need to be able to listen to parents. You talk over me and expect someone to still be patient. You call someone demanding, when you do not like what has to be said. My daughters schedule is different from the other children because she is still an infant and takes two naps a day and drinks formula every 4 hours as well as solids at different times. These were things all discussed during the interview process and nap times and meal times were written as well. This is all in copies from the registration process. If the provider did not agree with this, she could have let us know at the time of the registration. I had to bring an updated copy of the schedule to explicitly let her know that she can not consume dairy. She never asked for a different letter about her dairy allergy although it was mentioned multiple times during the interview by my husband and I. Her formula is prescribed and covered by insurance because it medically necessary. Our daughters lunch and formula was provided by us because this provider told us she does not give her her own food until 12 months, but this was not the case, which is why we constantly had to reiterate what our child needs. This business may have been around for 14 years but obviously they are not updated on health risks and how kids learn developmentally. There is no quality at this daycare.
