Sometimes places aren't into special designs and straight up say no or attempt and do a poor job. She knew what she was doing and judging from the nail polish book, she (and maybe others that work there) can do many different, intricate designs. My ombré was an additional $15 total. Only small negatives (not enough to remove a star): - While centrally located in Flushing, the place is slightly difficult to find. When I entered the building, I went up the wrong set of elevators, so had to go back down and use a separate one. I called to confirm where they were, they said the 9th floor. I went to the 9th but the nail portion of the spa is on the 11th. You can't use the stairs to go from the 9th to the 11th because the door will lock behind you. Anyway! Now I know for next time. - Lastly, another worker, maybe a masseuse, came in, took the nail clippers in the case next to me, crouched down to clip a few nails, put them back in the same spot and left. I would've loved for her to put them in that sanitizing box they put tools in and not where they seem like they'd be used on a patron. Plus, I got to connect (which is rare in eyebrow threading) with Gita, the owner, who was so pleasant and always made sure that I walked out happy. The service prices are pretty standard and comparable with other salons, but I do feel like hygiene control is better here than at many of the places that I have gone to. My eye was really irritated with the glue, it was super red and teared a little. It wasn't until an eyelash with eye lash glue fell into my eye that I got really upset! The lady didn't even clean up the eye lash and eye lash glue in my eye until I asked her to. I left with eye lash glue residue in my eye and my eye has been irritated since. On the other hand, the eye brow threading was really nice. The two stars is for the eye brow threading experience and lash extension experience. TESTERS. The store has a carousel of testers where you can swatch test to see if you might have any negative reactions. I was quite disappointed because that was what I was most looking forward to. They mentioned I would be able to receive a body scrub instead, which I decided to get. The space is simply decorated with a calm ambiance, and an inviting atmosphere. The lady who did all these services was very friendly and kind. We started off with the body scrub in a lowly lit room, which was soo relaxing and slightly resembled a massage done in a shorter time frame. The scrub felt super exfoliating and my skin was velvety soft afterwards. Next was the facial, which included all of the components, such as extraction, moisturizing, mask, and more. After that, it was time for the pedicure, and the lady prepared green tea and a plate of cookies, gummy candy, and crackers. They were pretty tasty, especially the satisfyingly chewy and sweet gummies, which were from Europe. I selected a deep red color for my toes. It felt nice to put my feet in the warm water and my toes looked great! For the manicure, I picked a shimmery hot pink from the OPI collection. The lady put a lot of care and time into painting my nails, and it really showed. I loved how my nails looked so shiny and smooth when done. I stayed and put my nails under a drying device, but this took awhile. I still needed to be careful upon leaving and I noticed that the nail polish chipped a lot after only a few days. Overall, I enjoyed my day of beauty and felt pampered. I just wish they still had massage, because I'm long overdue!
