Finally made it out to Creekside Provisions in Berkeley Springs! I love the ambiance in here, it just feels like your neighberhood deli style shop. They have other cool things for purchase, also snagged a pizza that Matt Mihalik recommended. For lunch, I got a chicken salad sandwich with a wild mushroom soup! Both were super fresh and light, and the flavors were deep in the soup! Will def be coming back to try a few other items for lunch when I'm in the area!

This place is adorable! The staff is sweet and helpful. Gave great recommendations and suggestions for lunch- went with the salad topped with their house made chicken salad, lovely! Also, gave great recommendations while being in town. The space is a little tight in the but there is seating in the next room and outside. Cute decor and there's plenty of adorable items to buy, local gifts and honey and more.

The tuna salad and smoothies were delicious! The sweetest atmosphere for my kiddo who loves to draw. Coloring sheets and colored pencils as well as toys to keep her entertained while we enjoyed our meal. Local artwork was an added plus, not to mention the "provisions" in the little shop. Must check out when in Berkeley Springs.

This store is a very cute, new store that sells a lot of little provisions and offers some café food off to the side. Service was very friendly. Would definitely recommend as a pitstop for getting some supplies or some light food or coffee. they even have a side table for you to make your own postcard.

A great stop with healthy food that was delicious! I had a salad and my husband had a sandwich and got a pepperoni roll to go.

The atmosphere was one of the best parts of the experience. The music was great, people were singing, and the whole place felt fun, relaxed, and like somewhere you genuinely want to spend time. The hostess was wonderful, and our server, Trinity, was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing, and that made the experience even better. We started with drinks at the table, and both were excellent. The Washington's Rebellion Cherry Bounce was memorable and very well done, and the house smoked old fashioned was also delicious. We then had the Roasted Brussels, and they were absolutely amazing. The combination of honey, balsamic glaze, candied pecans, and parmesan was outstanding. For the main course, I had the Powderhorn Chop, and the flavor was very good. My only critique is that it would have benefited from a stronger sear and a bit more crust on the outside. A little more Maillard reaction, that browning of proteins and sugars that creates deeper savory complexity, would have elevated it even further. We also had a salmon special that evening, and that was outstanding. Dessert was another highlight, especially the warm pecan bourbon pie with ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Service was a major strength. In addition to Trinity being so warm and attentive, other staff members, including management, came by to make sure everything was going well. We also appreciated that they offer a military discount. This was our first time here, and so far it is the best restaurant we have tried in the Berkeley Springs area. We were told they are expanding, and we are already looking forward to coming back, especially if outdoor seating is added in the future. This feels like exactly the kind of place we will return to often, especially when friends come to visit.

The restaurant is cozy and only has a few seating options in the main bar area. It's a nice atmosphere and we loved the booths. I ended up ordering exactly what I had when I visited a few years ago, which was the Chicken Christy. It's a delicious dish of chicken, topped with ham, cheese and heavy cream. The sauce is great, and the meal comes with multiple sides. I ended up getting sweet potato fries along witn a delicious salad and blue cheese dressing. My partner got the Philly Steak and Cheese. It wasn't quite as good as the real deal of a Philly cheesesteak, but he still enjoyed it. Our kids loved their meals, which was basically cheeseburgers. We were a little surprised they couldn't just do a basic pasta with sauce. But apparently, they don't have any tomato sauce at this place. Lastly, we enjoyed the great price on the wine. We ended up getting a bottle of red wine from Paso Robles, California. We love Paso. While we never heard of this particular wine from the region, it was really tasty and worth the price which was really reasonable. We would definitely come back. Just make sure you have a reservation in advance!

We shared a few apps (brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and shrimp) which were all tasty. A bit heavy on the sauce but tasty nonetheless. I got a meatloaf Wellington and enjoyed it. Our server was personable and fun. The downsides - the menu doesn't tell you what's in the cocktails and cocktails. When we asked our server about them, her response was she has no idea because she isn't a bartender. It also took a while for our plates to be cleared between courses. We stacked them ourselves but kept having to work around them until our server finally offered to clear them from the table.

Located on a hill - plenty of parking across the street. The restaurant is inside an older style home but it still has nice space, and is very quaint, quiet and intimate. Low lighting and just a very cozy atmosphere. The time of your reservation is the time of your seating so coming early doesn't mean you'll be sat early. Ordered a mixed drink from the bar and a half bottle of some wine for the table. It is a fixed price menu, but there are some very good options that cover a lot of different flavors and tastes. For an appetizer I went with the special soup: French onion - which wasn't the traditional kind with the cheese melted over the bowl. Instead it was a piece of bread with melted cheese in the soup. Not my favorite presentation I've ever had of this dish - but the flavor was good. Also tried the fried green tomatoes - which were good. Really liked the pimento cheese under the tomato slices and the other garnish sauces on the plate. For my entree I chose the filet mignon. It was paired with mashed potatoes and a cream sauce. Steak was ordered medium, parts of it were definitely rare. Still very good. Added a side of mac and cheese which was very creamy and good. For the dessert, I opted to go with the carrot cake. Probably the best dessert I've had in recent memory: cake was moist, the topping was a very sweet cream cheese and caramel drizzle. Overall, this place was very good. Our waitress was very personable and talkative, providing ideas and taking the time to make sure our experience was normal and comfortable. Would highly recommend here.

Review of Public House in Berkeley Springs, WV (3/2/25)…read moreAfter having Public House on our list for quite a while, we finally visited, and it was well worth the wait. The experience was very pleasant and unhurried, and we appreciated not having to drive far. The seating arrangement was comfortable, allowing for easy conversation with my husband without the frequent interruptions of loud noises. Our server was attentive and had to repeat all the specials because there were so many, which was impressive. Despite being a prix fixe menu, there were still plenty of options to choose from. For appetizers, I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were definitely shareable. The portion size was generous. For the main course, I had the crab cakes, and once again, the serving was substantial. They certainly did not skimp on the portions. We shared a half bottle of Montepulciano wine, which was perfect and a great midpoint for the meal. The dessert was just the right amount to have a sweet bite without overindulging. Overall, we spent about 1.5 hours enjoying an intimate meal with a lot of good food to choose from in a cute, quaint house. Definitely recommended! L
