We were looking for someplace new to have breakfast and came across Crepe Cafe. It's located on the west side by the parking garage in Deerfield Beach but it's not very visible. They have tables outside and inside and their decor is very quaint. The server greeted us very warmly and asked us to sit anywhere. Then, she came out with a glass water bottle and took our order. We ordered the Crepe Cafe with ham, Ricotta Cheese and Strawberry Crepe and a small orange juice. What is one of the best things about this place is not only the service is great but they cook your food right in front of you! You get to see them pour the crepes and use all fresh ingredients (not frozen or prepackaged or whatever the cook wants to add that YOU MAY NEVER KNOW). Also, they even make freshly squeezed oranges in front of you...not the processed kind you get at other restaurants. The food came out quickly and perfect temperature. As far as the taste, there are no words to describe how delicious and savory their crepes are, you have to come and try for yourself. I took a star off for the facility which has no decor to speak of with tacky Eiffel Towers...and a couple of tables outside, right by road and traffic, and at the back in parking lot. Tried the crepes for breakfast... my son had the Smore's crêpe with whipped cream, and I had one with scrambled eggs, ham cheddar cheese. And a very well made cappuccino. I wish my crepe had a little more cheese, and a little less egg. I think in order to truly enjoy a crêpe, you have to fill it with something sweet. My son said his crêpe was delicious, but also incredibly sweet (maybe a little too sweet for breakfast...that's his fault because it is listed on the dessert section!). Our attentive server suggested that if I wanted a little unsweet mixed with a little sweet, to order one of each and split them with your dining partner(s). Unfortunately, my son does not eat eggs. What a disappointment. The tables outside were all dirty and there wasn't anyone in the place except for the two women who worked there. I couldn't understand why the tables were not clean. We had to tell them that we wanted to sit outside and then one of them cleaned up a few of the tables. I decided not to eat here because they have milk and/or butter in everything they make. However, they don't tell you that. I had to ask because the menu doesn't state it either. If I hadn't known from experience that crepes can have milk/butter in them, I probably would have eaten their crepes. My stomach wouldn't have liked that. The other ridiculous aspect of this place is that they don't have free water. The reason is that they stopped serving water during COVID. Once they began again, they decided that giving out water in plastic cups wasn't a good economic decision. They figured that this was part of the reason that they weren't making the amount of money that they thought they should be. Thus, they stopped serving water unless you pay for it(bottled water). I told these women that this decision wasn't a good one and that not giving customers water isn't a smart move. She seemed to disagree and said it hasn't really been an issue. I don't believe that. My wife thought her crepe was ok. She did mention that it was overpriced for the size of the crepe. Would we go back? Absolutely not. There are just better places to go for dessert in this area. Checked this place out on our mini-vaca in Deerfield Beach. We were there right when it opened and chose to sit outside and enjoy the nice sun and cool view of (literally the only) strip of the town. This place got busy and got busy fast! Of course it was a Sunday and we expected the crowd on a Memorial Day Weekend to be this type of busy. But, maybe it wasn't the holiday or the weekend, it was just the food, because these Crepes were awesome! I'm not a crepe guy, not in the least, but my better half loves her some crepes. Going in skeptical and absolutely blown away after trying them! We stayed simple, the Brie with Sausage and I had the Ham and eggs. And wow, just completely blown away by how delicious! Decent price as well, all under $10, but there were some on the menu with a higher price tag. This WOULD be 5 stars, but the staff wasn't friendly in the least. I came inside to pay and remarked how I knew they were busy and wanted to help out. Nothing. I then remarked about how great the food was and MID-SENTENCE of telling him how great it was, he walked off... Just parked and walked out of the parking garage and my gf had to use the restroom. So she walked inside to use the restroom and was given an attitude by one of the employees here. Not sure if it was a manager or the owner. She told us to go back to where we came from and use the bathroom there. And that the restroom was for paying customers only. Which funny enough I was planning on coming here for dessert after dinner. But that def didn't happen since my gf was treated in such a way like that by someone who works here. I would've given this place 5 stars if the silverware & cups weren't so unclean. When we were done wiping our cups out, the napkin was dirty. All three of the crepes we ordered were delicious. Came here one morning right when they opened and my family and I were very happy with the decision! Pretty comfortable inside with friendly staff. The menu had lots of great options and we saw a fresh produce delivery box sitting on the counter filled with veggies that validated the freshness. The kids went with the red and white which is a combo of Nutella and fresh strawberries. It's an add on for whipped cream, but well worth it. I went with French Brie and Veggies. I am a sucker for Brie cheese and the combo of veggies and pesto sauce was amazing. Many people put pesto on their menu and buy packaged stuff, but you can tell this was made fresh! My wife went with the Brie Montreal and was very happy with it. She swears the apples were freshly cut and roasted to perfection. My only complaint is the coffee is not as amazing as I had hoped. I've been here twice now in the last two weekends. They offer a variety of sweet and savory crepes. I've gotten sweet both times I've gone. I got the apple pie crepe my first time which was delicious. And the second time I got my goto crepe of strawberry, banana, nutella(Bad Girl). It was delicious as well. Their crepes are a perfect thickness here. My friends tried a few of the other sweet crepes and enjoyed them just as much. I think this will be my new dessert stop. Tres delicieux! It was a quiet, rainy day and I thought it was perfect day for a crepe lunch. When I went inside and was greeted by the nice owner and chef. I got the tomato, mozzarella, and basil crepe with pesto and oh when I ate it... I was so pleased! The crepe was still hot when I dug in and it was wonderful.
